Packing of Wool Hook Floor Carpet

- Q:The toilet overflowed the whole bathroom, and it left a huge puddle in the hallway. The carpet is completely soaked. It's clean water though, it's been doing this for days now, but we've been catching it before it reached the carpet. We have a shampooer that is currently sucking up the water, but I need more than that. Also, taking up the carpet from the ground is not an option. One more thing- any good ways to clean it once it gets dry?
- put towels down on the wet spot and walk on them, that will soak up most of the water , FIX THE LEAK ,then shampoo the carpet
- Q:nan
- After heavy snow, put blanket on clean snowfield, and beat both sides with s stick, then you are able to remove most of the dirts.
- Q:Okay.. Stupid question:Will a horse get caught up or whatever if they decide do roll while wearing a winter rug? Or will they be okay??Just wondering, cause I'm curious :)
- No, rugs are designed to be rolled, gallopped, bucked and bronced in! (at least turnout rugs are). A correctly fitted rug will not slip when the horse rolls.
- Q:I went to a heritage craft festival last year, and there was a lady making rugs. It was at a Colonial period mansion, and she said the rugs were found in the storage of the family, and never finished. So she was using similar materials, and following the pattern to finish them. I guess it was rug hooking, but I don't remember her calling it that. She would take a very thick piece of wool and pull it through the backing to make a little loop, then, on the same piece of wool, just make a loop in the next hole, no knots, no cut pieces..she said the fabric was so tight and the wool so thick that it would hold it in, and eventually the bottom would become felt from walking on it (she showed me the older portions of the piece). Is that the same as regular modern rug hooking? it doesn't seem like it...does anyone know if this sounds right? does anyone rug hook like this? Thanks!
- If this an high priced purchase and you're questioning of keepin this rug for a protracted time, think of roughly your furniture. Will you opt to alter up that room in some years? if so, %. the rug which will strengthen with you and your loved ones. If that may no longer an high priced purchase or you could cope with to pay for to purchase a clean rug each and every so usually, then bypass with what you quite like. area rugs are an incredible thank you to alter the topic of the room without changing hundreds of dollars worth a furniture. solid success.
- Q:I am moving into a foreclosure. The carpet is badly stained in some areas. I can't afford to replace all of the carpet. Do you know how to effectively remove stains from carpet? Resolve doesn't work.
- I asked for and won a carpet shampooer for Christmas, whether it broke jointly as utilizing it the fist time, so as much as i might prefer to propose procuring one...i'm sorry to declare my adventure hasn't been all the large! LOL! in case you might have adequate money it, decide for clean carpeting or have it professionally wiped sparkling and re-stretched. in the adventure that your married and your husband is prepared, you additionally can lease a carpet stretcher and do this area of it your self. this is not puzzling to do, whether this is puzzling on your knees. you will additionally want a carpet knife to trim the surplus carpet, different than that, you ought to be sturdy to bypass! sturdy success!
- Q:I have to clean a carpet that has a red cool aid stain on it? Since it is not my carpet, I have no idea how long the stain has set into the carpet. I am willing to try just about anything short of a beach based cleaner? The carpet is an off white, so it's extremely noticable. Any suggestions, or is this a hopeless case?
- Jell-o and other Gelatin Stain Removal from Carpet The dyes in Kool-Aid, Gatorade and Jell-o generally result in a permanent stain. However, you can still try to remove carpet stains caused by these products. The newest technology uses peroxide and detergents to penetrate the soiled area to remove the stain and deactivate the odor. Simply spray a product such as Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate on the soiled area, and then allow it to penetrate for approximately five minutes. Using a clean white absorbent cloth, blot the area, pressing down firmly (do not rub) for 30 seconds. Repeat this blotting process until the area is dry. If the odor persists, repeat the process. Another option for cleaning carpet stains such as these is to use ordinary household ammonia and blot at the stain using a clean cloth. When cleaning carpet stains with ammonia, wear a mask or turn you head so you don't inhale the fumes. Good Luck! :)

- Carpet: wool carpet definitly will lose the wool, good wool fiber is combined togrther, even import New Zealand wool also falls, so don't buy cheap household carpet, as the cheaper cost, the worse quality.
- Q:so i accidentally got some nailpolish on my carpet any ideas for how to get it out?
- It is simply amazing how often nail polish makes it onto carpet, or furniture, instead of nails, lol I'm afraid the attitude towards nail polish is entirely too lax... here is why... Carpets these days are made of synthetic fibers.... and when you try to use nail polish remover to remove nail polish, it WILL DAMAGE THE CARPET FIBERS. This results in fibers melting (chemically) or being permanently stained! Nail polish removers often contain Acetone. Acetone is a very harsh and effective chemical stripper -- it will not only damage carpet fibers, but it will also damage vinyl tile, and wood finishes of all sorts. I'm afraid your best bet at this point, is to try to scrape the nail polish out, or have that section of carpet removed, and replaced. A good carpet tech can patch the section for you, but it may still be a noticable patch. Unless you want to make a habit of cutting holes in your carpet, I'd advise a little more care when handling the nail polish, heheheh ;) Good Luck
- Q:Rugs get little traffic in 2 of 3 bedrooms. Very thick plush Carpet One type carpeting. Any suggestions?
- Your carpeting is stretching which causes the wrinkles you described. Most often this is due to improper installation. Many installers just rough cut a piece of carpet, bring it in to the room, unroll it, trim it and use a tool to kick in the carpet under the baseboard and onto the tack strips. The proper way to do it is to use something called a power stretcher which stretches the carpet from one wall to the opposing wall. Go back to the people you bought it from and see if they can get the original installer to make it right. Most carpet stores send installers a lot of business and have a fair amount of influence over them. If they refuse or the installers refuse make sure you let them know your dissatisfaction and report them to the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully you won't have to pay for this yourself or take things that far.
- Q:1) How often does the average person scrub their carpets?2) How often does the average person scrub their sofa/furniture?
- i steam clean my carpet every 2 weeks or so but that is because i have white carpet and 3 kids, ugh. it is not so good to do it that often cuz it takes away any scotchguard you have on it. i think most people do it every 3-4 months. and vacuum as many days a week as you have people living in your house ie- i have 5 people, so i vacuum monday-friday! ick! for the furniture i would say once or twice a year unless you smoke and then more often.
