FAQ

I need a valve cover gasket replacement because mine is leaking a tremendous amount of oil. The mechanic says it will cost about $269.00 plus tax. I wanted to make sure this figure was the average since I do not know a lot about cars. My car is a Mitsubishi Diamante 2001.
The gasket set is probably $ 20, so double that to $ 40..... 270 - 40 is 230, divided by 2 man-hours, which is the usually dealership minimum, gives $ 115 an hour. I DON'T THINK SO !!!! Unless you live in Hawaii where everything is expensive, that sounds steep.... real steep. Dealers around here get like $ 85 an hour, so two hours is 170, plus 40 is 210 bucks; Still killer money for the dealer..... I'd question that estimate ask if there is some extraordinary challenge to working on your car. It is possible there are accessories mounted over the valve cover that will have to be moved, or that's it's a canted V-6 with one valve cover tucked up against the fire wall. Be nice, smile, ask questions.... Maybe even have someone show you what has to be moved on your engine to get at the valve cover(s). If you're going to pay that much $$$, you should learn something, also.
i have a slightly small mitral valve leak in my heart. my cardiologist say nothing to worry about, but i am not sure. can some one explain if it would eventually lead to some complications?
I have Mitral Valve Prolapse, and slight regurgitation. If your cardiologist says not to worry, I wouldn't worry. Mitral Valve prolapse just means you have a slight deformity of the bicuspid valve. It doesn't close correctly. It's not a disease, or anything like that, just a slight deformity. The symptoms are annoying. You may or may not have palpitations, slight sharp chest pain sometimes, dizziness, fatigue, and anxiety from it. You must have it checked yearly to make sure it's not progressing. I have had it since I was born, and now I am 28, and it has not progressed at all. MILLIONS of people are walking around with it, and don't even know it. It's not really a big deal. However, it does have the potential to worsen and you may or may not need a new valve. But that normally happens when you're older, in your 50's or up. Don't worry about it.
oil coming from valve into turbo charger
sounds like you need a new turbo since these vehicles dont use a pcv valve
Function of signal butterfly valve in fire sprinkler system
The signal butterfly valve is connected with the fire alarm system to monitor the switch status of the valve, thus effectively preventing misoperation
Where are the exhaust valves, mud valves and butterfly valves?
The exhaust valve is used for the heating of the independent heating system, central heating system, heating boiler, central air conditioning, floor heating and solar heating system.Mud valve, also known as cover valve, commonly used in urban water plants, sewage treatment plants sedimentation tank bottom discharge sludge.Butterfly valve used in furnace, coal gas, natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, city gas, hot and cold air, chemical smelting and power generation environmental protection engineering system, conveying a variety of corrosive and non corrosive media pipeline, used to adjust and cut off the media flow.
Butterfly valve in use when should pay attention to what problems?
After the last in the pneumatic butterfly valve after use, also need to be cleaned immediately after the valve is closed, should use soft cloth to clean the valve, which may have some impurities, dirt removal, and oil lubrication, so it can better guarantee the use of the next.
My quot;check engine soonquot; light came on yesterday and soon after that I took it to the nearest Midas to have the diagnostic test run on it - they stated I needed an ERG valve. I have no clue what it is and was told that it could run $160. - $300. for my 1900 Astro van. what is an ERG valve? I have noticed that my van has a low humming sound when I'm driving it.
An egr valve is an exhaust gas recirculation valve, basicly it allows for exhaust gas to be routed into incoming air-fuel mix- it causes reduced emissions. They r expensive, know however that often when a diagnostic is run and egr is the read out alot of times its an O2 sensor(oxgyen sensor), the egr and O2 sensors work together so its hard for a computer to idenitify the exact prob, u can take ur van 2 an exhaust shop and have them inspect it. Which i highly recomend, that way u know 4 sure what the prob is. Good luk hope i helped!!!
Which is expensive, butterfly valve?
Butterfly valve is more common, less material and simple structure. Butterfly valve cheaper
