Sorry to tell yo uthat the stains are most likely permanent. Seagrass, by nature is a porous fiber. Hence the stains have penetrated the fibers in the rug, and have become inherent, just as a dye would. Your best chance would be to completely redye the rug. It may be cheaper however to buy another, and keep Puss N Boots in the other room.

Hire a professional carpet cleaner. If you have never cleaned carpet before, you don't want your first experiment on a white carpet. Look locally for an established carpet cleaner. If you want to attempt to spot clean the areas be sure to vacuum well first. You can then put a small amount of dish soap in a bucket of water and use a rag to work the stains out. Better to gently work in a circular motion toward the center of the stain and avoid scrubbing too hard or you will fray the carpet fiber. If you use a harsh chemical it can discolor or stain the carpet. Use a clean towel to blot up the water by pressing it on the spot you clean. Try not to over wet the area as excess water can soak into the pad. Be aware that if there is a lot of soil in the carpet, even though you may successfully remove the stains, the clean areas may stand out as spots against the soiled carpet.

I wouldn't clean it like a normal carpet. Certainly do not steam clean it or use soap and water. There is a dry carpet cleaning method called Capture. You can usually find it at the supermarket near the other rug cleaning products, or at a DIY home improvement store like Lowe's or Home Depot. It comes in a kit. You sprinkle the stuff on the carpet -- its sort of semi-damp and clumpy -- then use the brush that comes with the kit to rub the stuff into the stain or the entire rug. Let it sit for a bit, then vacuum up the residue. I have used this on my wool area rugs in the past and it works great.

A rough estimate is approximately $1500.00. There are however many different brands of carpet. Whatever brand you choose, you'll want a good quality carpet padding. Also you did not state if you are going to need old carpet removed. If you do, this is an added cost. Are you installing the carpet yourself. Not recommended if you have not done this before. In England we used to call them rugs, in the US - blankets. I think rugs was the term used for the old fashioned jute ones that were held in place with a wither pad and roller and then they had additional wool blankets added underneath for more warmth. If the foal is still on her mother, they shouldn't need rugs. For a horse that you are riding, you might want to get a medium weight stable blanket and a medium weight turn out for when it gets really cold. You can get foal blankets but they are really only used if the foal is sick, underweight or unable to sustain body temperature. I prefer not to use foal blankets unless there is a medical need or they are being shown.

Carpeting the outside of the sub box helps to protect the sub box itself. In regards to the color, it's all for looks - so use whatever color you like if you don't like black.

Depends on the stain. Tell me more. Here are a few pointers: 1. Koolaid is taken out by using a steam iron, a PURE WHITE cloth, Ammonia (preferably lemon scented), and a steam Iron. Mix the Ammonia 1to1 with water and pour a small amount on the Kool-Aid stain. Place the white cloth on top of the stain and heat it with the Iron. Repeat as necessary. It is called Heat Transfer, the stain will soak up into the white cloth. If you use a colored cloth, the color from the cloth will soak into the carpet. 2. Urine when it dries turns to alkaline. The way to remove alkaline is with acid. Vinegar is an acid and works well. Also Protein stains like Blood and Urine set when you try to clean them with hot water, so use cold water when cleaning these types of stains. 3. For every 18 degrees of water temperature your soap will clean 100 percent better. Use VERY hot water to clean carpet, just so long as you are below 200 degrees. Thus the reason they call it steam cleaning. 4. Mechanical action (scrubbing) is the best way to clean most stains. Get vicious. 5. Always test any spot remover in a closet to make sure it is not taking out the color of your carpet. 6. Buy powdered water softener in your laundry soap section of the store and use it with your soap, it will make it work far better. 7. Keep it simple Stupid. Regular degreasers and cleaners work well in traffic lanes. Get a cheap pump up sprayer in your garden section of Walmart, add simple green and water, and spray the High traffic areas of your carpet and any spots. This is called a TLC or Traffic Lane Cleaner.

Q:A piece of paper caught on fire, fell on the carpet, I put the fire out and it burned the carpet and the paper melted into the carpet. Using soap and alcohol, I got rid of most of the blackness, but the parts where it's actually burned is still black. How can I get rid of this mark? Would using bleach work?

I had some hot coals fall out of a fireplace and onto the carpet. Vacuumed and got the stuff like you did. Then I got a really sharp pair of scissors and cut out the melted part that was discolored. Was very careful and it looked pretty good when I got done. Bleach will not work on melted plastic. You may also need to pick out the nape a bit to make the surface appear like the original carpet. The other thing I have heard of being done is to take a piece of carpet from a spot where it will not be seen and cut the exact same piece from the damaged spot. Use a little glue and swap the two pieces. The key to these is taking your time and being careful.
