Q: I have blue walls with a gray blue carpet. That would make for ugly curtains. Do they really need to match?: Go with a gold or natural beige. Or use blues complimentary color of orange if you really want to liven it up! You could also use a darker red with those colors. It depend upon your furniture and what style you are going for! Since I don't know all of the facts I would probably use the gold/tan/beige colors and then use color in pics, pillows,throws, accents,area rug, etc.Best wishes!

Q: Has anyone ever tried using oxyclean or any other cleaner that would work good or produce the same results as with the Rug Doctor cleaners?: Problem being! Most rug cleaning machines can't handle sud's. If oxyclean sud's up it can destroy the machine. I don't know about mixing them...I have...used Downy in those machines to soften my rug and get rid of static.

Q: We just bought a new rug from IKEA 7ft by 7ft, and its a plush rug...we bought it because our 9 month old son started crawling and his knees were getting tore up from our carpet...The rug we have it awesome, but when he crawls over it, little pieces of fuzz come from it and he balls it up and tries to eat it..and it sheds all over our carpet and is really annoying....it was a pain in the *** to bring home being soo long, i dont want to take it back, is there something i can use to make it not fuzzz off? We went to home depot and they said they would have to charge us around $900 to replace all the carpet padding and install the new carpet. we said that we would leave the same padding (to save money), but the woman told us that it is an ohio state law that carpet companies MUST replace the padding if they are going to replace the carpet too. another company we called said this isn't true. was the lady at home depot just trying to get more money out of us, or is there really a carpet padding law? The only thing that could happen is you would need to sign paperwork that the carpet would not carry a warranty since the surface it was applied to was not stable. You CAN install carpet without padding although it is not a good idea.
