Q: I was burning a candle and the wax dripped on the carpet HELP
The best way I have found is the following. Remove any of the wax that you can without damaging the carpet fibers first. Next, use a towel and an iron set on a low setting. Place a section of the towel over the wax and heat with the iron. Keep the iron moving at all times. When you begin to see wax appearing on the towel ( it will soak into the towel as it begins melting ) move the towel to a clean section. Repeat until all of the wax is absorbed. The carpet area can then be cleaned further with goof off if necessary. If the towel is washed in hot water with detergent, the wax should wash out.
Q: As a part of modern decoration, carpet can not only beautify the living environment, but also improve the comfort of decoration and reduce walking noise. Carpets can be divided into many kinds according to materials, so what kinds of carpets are there? What material is good?
At first, carpets were only used to pave the ground, which played a role in keeping out the cold and humidity and was conducive to sitting and lying. With the development of society. Carpet has gradually developed into a high-grade decoration, which not only has the functions of heat insulation, moisture-proof and comfort, but also has noble, gorgeous, beautiful and pleasing effects, so it has become a necessary product for high-grade architectural decoration. Carpets of different materials are used in different areas, and the best one is the one suitable.
Q: How can you get rid of the oil on the carpet? Jipan high master!
Suggest you: first wipe the dirt with alcohol, see if you can erase, if not, use vinegar, and if not yet, then please go to the 4S shop.
Q: I have carpet in the backyard and my dogs have urinated on it badly an i was wondering if i put very little bleach in a spray bottle and sprayed it on the carpet would it change the color of the carpet?
A really good disinfectant for cleaning is to put white vinegar in a spray bottle, and about 1/2 teaspoon of tea tree oil (this is sold anywhere medications are sold cheapest price is Walmart). That will disinfect the rugs and prevent them from being able to smell their spots again to repeatedly keep going on it. The stain however needs different handling. Saturate the stains with hydrogen peroxide mixed with a few drops of dish washing soap. After well saturated let it sit 1 hour. Then rinse. The stains will be gone. Then spray it with the first solution and you'll be fresh and clean again!
Q: I wanna get a rug or carpet big enough to fill my garage which is 11 by 22 feet or just a carpet I dont have to install and I can just lay down, where can i get one?
Hi, Finding a ready made rug of that size is a bit difficult. You may have to specially order it, which is not all that difficult/expensive. If you go for a carpet, then it has to be installed.
Q: I have dark brown (medium chocolate, I'd call it) warm modern style leather sofa and love seat in a white room with 10 foot ceilings (I can't paint). The floors are oak, as is one book case (modern lines, arts and crafts style detail). The feet of the sofa are a dark walnut color. The accent pieces in the room will be yellow hues (artwork, vase, throw pillows). What sort of area rug should I get? Colors, patterns? Links to examples would be awesome. I'm getting more furniture, but I think the rug could really warm up the room. I'm concerned about getting something that looks too country or contemporary against the modern lines of the furniture.
A rug with geometric motifs or pattern would be best to emphasize the straight lines found in the rest of the room... adding more straight lines in the rug would do so by repetition, and circles would accomplish the same but by contrasting against your straight lines instead. Look for a rug with beiges, browns, rusts, golds, and maybe some grey-blue or grey-green just to add some additional interest.
Q: Will long-term use of carpet mites grow?
Usually to prevent mites, it is necessary to frequently wash, frequently change furniture supplies, and then exposure in the sun, indoor ventilation often, to maintain indoor sanitation and pay attention to personal hygiene. There are specialized institutions for the governance of mite mites of the family to do service, the foreign institutions, China should also have, they can all love living mites in the indoor location system for the whole process of killing, no pollution, can get good effect in a very short period of time, including their usual not clean the mattress, also can use professional techniques effective in addition to mites, and also on the indoor environment in other bacteria and viruses play a role in the killing, in some European countries is recognized by many families.
Q: bought a hookah to celebrate turning 19, and my cat knocked over the hookah while we were smoking. Lets just say there is a nickle sized burn in the carpet. Is there ANYTHING I can do? My bf is being a jerk and told me I need to sell my hookah now since it burned the carpet (he doesn't want it in the house anymore), and I'm extremely irritated because it is mine. I am so glad I wasted money on the thing that I am now not allowed to use.-It is not illegal. I smoke legal shisha out of it.-we are renting the house from his parents, and are looking for the least damaging way to cover or fix it. I have no problem explaining this to his parents, but would like to fix it if possible.
Cut out the burnt section and glue in a piece of scrap carpet! Go to a carpet store and get a carpet repair tool. They're only a few bucks. Some adhesive disks and carpet glue. Now take your cutting tool and cut out the damaged section. Be careful to not cut through the carpet fibers themselves. Next cut a replacement section from the donor carpet also being careful not to cut the carpet fibers. Next you will peel off the cover on the adhesive disk and place it in the empty hole. Now put some glue around the edge of the hole and insert your patch trying to match the grain of the carpet. (Carpet has a distinct grain). Press the patch firmly into place and put a weight on top of the area. Let it dry at least twenty four hours before putting the carpet to use.
Q: So my bedroom is carpeted and there's some stains (dirt and pop mostly) but im trying to clean my room up a bit and id like to get the stands out any ideas?
carpet cleaner and a scrubber. it'll be clean and spotless. ( prefer the foam carpet cleaner)
Q: my 1yr old always manages to find bits on the floor and eats themhow is it i can vac 3 times a day and yet she always finds something to chew on off it??does your child love carpet food as much as mine and does it actually do any harm?
My 6 month old is already like that...he will try and try to pick up the tiny-est bit on the carpet, when he has toys to play with all over! I don't think it really does them any harm. I vaccuum once a day.
