Q:I have a rug that appears to be shedding. What do I do?
I have to say it is time to pitch that rug even though it may be a favorite. It sounds like this rug has been a great one for you. It's just seen its better days to be sure. Have you thought of looking in a store catalog for one like it again or a similar one? Also you could write the company if you know the name...and find out where you can get another one. Check out the Internet also.
Q:help! burnt carpet!!!?
The question is: how big of an area? If it is kinda small 3 x 3. You are going to have to do some surgery! First way: Find a spot of carpet that is good and hidden. Like in the corner of your closet. Take a really sharp knife ( utility knife works good here) and carefully cut out the burnt part. Then cut out the exact size piece in the hidden place. Swap the pieces out. Be careful to not cut into the padding under the carpet. Do not grab a good piece that is close to a seam (you'll just create more problems). You can glue the new carpet down with wood glue, just not too much. I hope that your carpet is thick, or this will not work. Also, you don't want the new piece getting sucked up in the vacuum cleaner. I really think you should just tell your mum though. You might get into a bit of trouble, but If she finds out that you did unqualified surgery on her carpet you are going to really be in a world of hurt!
Q:What rug would look good with this?
Q:Wet carpet due to leakage - remove carpet to prevent mould?
Get awet vacuum and dry it up
Q:i need to find an area rug...?
To be very honest with you, the only rug of that size you will find for under $50 will have to be second hand and likely not in great condition. I have never in my life heard of finding that size rug at that type of price. Good luck. If you do find one, please let me know where -- I would order from that supplier even if they are overseas and shipping doubles the cost!
Q:How can I clean the carpet? Can I wash it with washing machine?
When the carpet is dry, the weight is not too large, but it is still relatively hard after soaking and can not be turned in the washing machine. In serious cases, it will damage the washing machine. Therefore, it is recommended not to use the washing machine to wash carpet.
Q:S.O.S! How do you clean a shag rug?
Shampoo it.=)
Q:How would you carpet your walls?
Carpet as wallcovering ?? It would look like a padded cell - the Safari Room at a mental institution ? ( Just kidding ) I would like to suggest a few alternatives. The first being trying to source out that print in a wallpaper. I am absolutely certain it exists somewhere, try the internet. Carpet on a wall is too heavy looking and, retro. Carpet in that pattern in particular, would be way too overbearing in Iarge amounts. I would rather see you work with a fabric in that pattern, on your walls. But treat it as a large, flat panel and hang it at the head of the bed on dowels. You could also hang it against the wall and tie it back at the head of the bed framing the headboard and centering an African art print in the middle. You could cut the fabric in a psuedo pelt shape, mount it on stiff board and hang it as a skin. Keep the carpet on the floor as a smaller matching area rug. Mix in faux zebra print cushions or throws. Paint your walls in rich sand and brown tones and consider black bedroom furniture. So, go ahead and use that print, but don't assault your senses with it in carpet on the walls. Mix it up in small quantities with similarly inspired prints and colours for a more refined, finished look. Have fun !
Q:What color rug would go with aqua walls?
Personally, somewhere where they sell fabric and make accents of your own! Good Luck!
Q:Is This A Suitable Selection Of Rugs For A Horse?
That sounds like a good list. I think it's important to figure out the type of horse you will be getting, whether its clipped (and how much) and how long it will be out for. Also if the stables are well-insulated (and some posh stables have heating!) you might not need the heavyweight stable rug. Also if you find the horse is stabled in American design stabling/barn, the horse might not need a heavyweight rug due to the shared bodyheat. But it all depends on the horse and it's environment. The middleweight stable rug is a good choice. Personally I dont bother with lightweights unless they have a show the next day! The fleece can be used as a cooler or an underlayer to other rugs when it's exceptionally cold. You may not require fly sheet unless the horse suffers from sweetitch or other allergy-caused skin complaints. Its a good idea to buy and heavyweight and middleweight turnout rugs with the UK weather! You can layer rugs which may be more cost effective. Also then as the day heats up you can take off one layer so as the horse is the right temperature. An exercise sheet would be a luxury! You'll know when you need it :) you can get wrap around ones for th rider too which look quite snuggly.
