I have gently beaten it to remove dust, and now have it hanging in an open garage. I sprayed it with Febreze, but that only helps for a few minutes. Do you think it just needs to air out and give it time or is there something safe I can use on it? It is huge, like 10ft x 14 ft. No deep cleaners will touch it because they fear they will damage it. you'll have to have a deep wash. if they're not touching it, they're not good at what they do, unless the rug is in shambles.

They should warranty it if the carpet itself has a stain blocker warranty. Not all carpets do. Check your paper work for the type you have. Any good company will have given you paper work on the stain properties. Damage to the walls will fall on the installers shoulders. Take pictures and start complaining ASAP. Empire should contact the installers and make them pay for it. And your salesperson will handle the warranty work as far as filing a claim. Don t give in if it brand new and has a warranty. had rug pads to use on area rugs which are over a carpeted floor. They come in all sizes, so measure your rug to get the right size.

Using the carpet squares is very much like using the the hardwood flooring paneling or using ceramic tile. If done correctly they work relativly well as long as it's a small weave carpet. The important things to make sure of is that 1) The grain of the carpet all goes the same way 2) Make sure they all fit together well. If you have a piece that doesn't quite fit... toss it and use another one. 3) Make sure they are well adhered to the floor. If they are not securely glued they will shift with use and after a few months it will look like you used carpet squares.

Q:I am putting in 2 subs in my car with a plate so the subs look like the back of the trunk. Problem is that my carpet has quickly deteorated due to my previous box and I want to replace it. I am going to cut out a plywood sheet to fix the bottom of the car then install the carpet on that. The plywood is going to have a hinge to swing it up so I can get to the spare tired + add extra support. I need to do this by saturday before the subs are installed. What thickness plywood should I use (Thinner is better for me and I am going to drill holes in it for weight reduction) and how do I install the auto carpet so it's smooth and looks nice.Thanks!!!

Trunk carpet and most other carpets are preformed to fit, you can get one from a auto upholstry shop or the dealership, they are held in by push pins to install them, any mods you do to the trunk you have to mod the carpet to compensate, as for the ply wood, you might wanna go with 1/4 inch thick.. not being there it is kind of hard to imagine what your doing, but anytime your modding a trunk, there is alot of problems you can come across.. most modders when doing up a trunk say hell with the carpet and make a custom fiber glass mold (very professional job), so, all in all, write these plans out before you do them and also make some measurements, gotta remember you have only one shot at this so make it a good one.... best of luck to ya.

well, maybe you should move the rug, unless its a big one, into a different room, because it may be the rug, i had a cat that had a littlerbox, and but she would only do #2 in it, and my dad has this really really really nice room where no one can go in it except him [lol] and the cat would always pee on it, and the day before we had to take her to the pound, my dad picked it up and found 20 pee stains on it! no joke! but you could probably put the litterbox in the same place that she does #2. =] or change the litter, see if that helps!! best wishes and good luck!!
