- Q: Grr Overstock wont ship here so i had a 8x10 ft rug shipped to my Moms house...from there I was going to pay to have it shipped here to Guam. But no Fedex wouldnt ship it and UPS either the dementions are either too small or too big. =( then i got hopeful bc a neighbor said OKorder ships here. So I got all excited when I found the same exact zebra print rug on OKorder... but of freaking course it cant be ship[ped here....can someone just bring me a dern black and white zebra print rug ? =( I now have island fever.
- Don't okorder / ... They have various styles of zebra rugs in 8 x 11
- Q: I'm getting hardwood floors in my bedroom and because I have a striped bed quilt, I am looking for a plain colored rug so as to not mix in too many patterns. I am preferably looking for either a pink, turquoise, or lime green rug and not shag. Can you please send me some links!!?? Thanks!
- best links are the stores in your area
- Q: We are trying to get the carpet in one of our bedrooms in our house replaced, but we are on a tight budget. We went to home depot and they said they would have to charge us around $900 to replace all the carpet padding and install the new carpet. we said that we would leave the same padding (to save money), but the woman told us that it is an ohio state law that carpet companies MUST replace the padding if they are going to replace the carpet too. another company we called said this isn't true. was the lady at home depot just trying to get more money out of us, or is there really a carpet padding law? I cant seem to find anything about it. any help is appreciated.
- I have never heard of a law requiring you to replace the padding when installing new carpets. How exactly would that law work if you were buying a carpet that has a built in padding? An installation company may have a policy about it but i could find no laws requiring it. Call your attorney General's consumer department and ask them if there is in fact a law but i doubt it very much.
- Q: I am redoing a room. Should it be painted before new carpeting? I want the baseboards nicely painted. Just not sure what should be done first.
- There is not a wrong or right answer to this question. I always recommend to paint first, that way you don't have to worry about getting paint on your new carpet. Be sure to pull the old carpet away from your baseboards, just to make sure you don't get aline that will show if the new carpet that goes in is shorter. If you really are replacing the carpet it is easy to take a utility knife and just cut about an inch into the existing carpet and pull that part away from the wall. If you are having to live with the carpet for while, then just take an edger and pull the carpet back as you paint. If boards get scuffed when new carpet goes in, it is easy to touch up the scuffed areas. You might want to paint as much as 30 days in advance to give the paint a chance to cure out, less chance of scuffing as paint will be harder, not soft.
- Q: i am looking into the future and looking at what i need to buy for a horse *so i can save up enough*right now i'm looking at rugs and saddles.. i have been looking on the horseland website (sells all horse stuff for outside aussies)and i have noticed that some saddles range from $300 - $800 *could never afford one over $1000* ... there doesnt seem to be much difference between them both...
- Your link just goes to the main menu page so I didn't get to see which saddle you were asking about. Basically a good saddle, if looked after will probably outlast you ! Rugs can be complicated, I don't know what sort of weather you get but here in the UK my horses are out for most of the time ( they only come in a night in the worst part of winter and they don't like that much either !) I have full neck rugs for really nasty cold time and ones without necks for when it's just normal winter weather. They don't wear any rug during the summer as a rule but if it rains for long periods ( as it has this year) I put the lighter neckless rugs on them. If it got sweaty during riding in winter then towelling dry is a good idea and you can also get a cooler rug - this acts like a string vest and stops the horse getting chilled while he's cooling down. As your horse would be going straight back into the field it would be best to cool him down on the way back from your ride so he doesn't get home so sweaty. You can't just go throwing thick rugs on sweaty horses so you would need to walk him round in a cooler to get him dried off first. If this turned out to be a problem with you spending ages cooling him down you could get him clipped which would stop him getting soaked but then you would need a really good rug to make up for the lack of winter coat.
- Q: He's a 1 year old male, and my mom bought a new rug for our bathroom, and he's always peeing on it! I really need to get him to stop because now my mom wants to get rid of him =[ And if it helps, we have another male cat (they're both fixed) that's 8 or 9 years old. Thanks!
- Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More??? on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing! Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...
- Q: I recently moved in with my boyfriend but I told him I'd only move in if he put a carpet down because we have a 10 month old son who does not want to sit still. It's been a couple months and everytime I bring it up he dismisses it. I don't want to wait any longer. I will pay for it and he already said he knows how to put it down. The floor is completely bare...it's not hard wood flooring but the wood that's underneath the carpet it comes with. It has staples to hold down the wood and all along the edges are those sharp nail things. He said that we need something additional to put between the wood floor and the carpet that makes the carpet soft or something. What I need to know is WHAT all do I need to put down a suitable carpet for my son to play on.Thanks for any and all help!!
- something easy to clean, does not collect dander or hold dirt. No little pieces that will come unattached so that he can put in his mouth. go to a reputable carpet outlet/store. They will know best. even if you don't buy there you will at least know what to look for elsewhere.
- Q: Is there need to lay carpet after laying floor heating floor?
- Very soft; under normal circumstances, in fact, there is no need to lay a mat on it, it's needed in every family , if you feel it's unecessary, you can choose not to lay it. after all, it is just the floor. actually, that depends on your needs
- Q: the dog has picked out a portion of the rug that he likes to pee on. so i get mad, spank him on the butt and put him in the garage for the night. there are so many urine stains on the rub, that im going to have to buy a new rug. how do i train him not to pee on the new rub. his name is benji and even after all this, hes still part of the family. suki
- 12 yrs old. and you want to sapnk it? shame on YOU! There is something wrong like a UTI (urinary tract infection) or she just cant hold it that long. Think about getting old and having bladder control problems. EFFF the freaking rug. Your dog doesn't care about that, neither should you. Get your dog to the vet and see what is up. Bet there is something going on, and your dog has been trying to tell you, you just don't get it!!!!!!
- Q: I want to redo my basement but getting new carpet is so expensive! Right now I have a really ugly green carpet with red and light yellowish squares. My kids want to make it in to a more loungey basement so the carpet is gonna be really hard to work with. Is there a much cheaper alternative to carpet or even any ideas as to how we can blend it in or make it work? We really dont want to use the colors in the carpet for anything in the basement. The basement is very very big so even semi-cheap things might be expensive. Thank you!
- That flooring for garages, called garage flooring tile, from Lowe's or Home Depot would be good for a basement. I think it's plastic; not sure though. If the floor is concrete, painting it would be a cheap option, and just add some inexpensive area rugs.
