Q:Okay so yesterday i mixed dawn soap and water together and scrubbed the spots on my floor to get these crusty spots that were left on my carpet from the carpet cleaner. the crusty spots went away but in their place small spots (smaller than the crusty resdue from before.) were left over and they were now sticky! I than tried washing off those spots with anti bacterial wipes which didn't do anythign, i vaccumed my floor twice and today i used a combination of baking soda and vingar to get it ou of my floor. Now i have merely one or two small spots but im aware carpet cleaner is rather toxic and hazardous and so I wanted to ask if it's truly carpet cleaner resdue stuck to my floor or if it's simply the dawn soap that won't come out. Please help for I am rather worried.: Use Quick 'n Brite (walmart has it) to completely remove the stain and then get an enzymatic cleaner at a pet store to completely remove the scent. Neither will do the job of the other, you need both. Carpet cleaner may get the stain out but the odor will still be there for your dog to detect and return to. Hopefully you don't have a light carpet because if you do, forget it, nothing works.

She solved the problem by purchasing Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract cat litter; it is specifically made for cats who fail to use the litter box. There is a booklet inside the package that discusses how to deal with this issue. Dr. Elsey emphasizes that scolding the cat could have the opposite effect that you intend - it could cause the cat to urinate outside the litter box more frequently. This litter and the suggestions worked for my mom's cat. You can find it at Petsmart and other large pet supply stores. Good luck.

A company came out and extracted the water and steam cleaned the carpets but I can still smell that wet carpet smell. Any ideas on how to get rid of the stinch?: Question: do you smell the carpet cleaner or the original ucky smell from the flood? If it's the carpet cleaner, let it air out for a few days and the smell should go away. If it is still from the flood, call the company back and complain, tell them that you want it redone or money back. Joe is right, it might be the underpad that is stinking up the place. ~~

Q:I am away from my horses at the moment and i have to call each day to have them rugged. I couldnt get a hold of the lady today and they may not be rugged. its winter here (not snowing here ever) and they have always had doona type rugs on of a night. will they be ok and not get sick?im so worried i feel sick: This is one of the problems that people get into when they start to rug their horses/ it is too late now to start worrying this winter as the horse has not been allowed to grow it's own natural and custom made rug in order to deal with the winters where it lives. it will probably do fine right now but next spring, let the horse shed and grow it's own coat naturally, then by the end of summer it will begin to grow it's own coat specially blended for the winters. leave the horse alone, it will be fine, forget the rug, and you will no longer have to worry if anyone will be around to put the rug on or take the rug off, or what ever.

See if he can convince them to bring a dehumidifier to dry everything out more quickly. If not, it helps dry the carpets faster if you heat up the apartment, open the windows to let out the warm damp air, and repeat the heat/airing cycle until the carpet is dry or you're tired of doing this. If the apartment always tends to be damp, it's worth getting a dehumidifier. My family has tried Kenmore (noisy, inefficient), DeLonghi (quiet, inefficient) and ComfortAire (quiet, efficient). Just be careful to keep the condensate bucket clean to avoid mold and clean lint out of the filter regularly so it will circulate air efficiently.

Q:what is a jewelled rug?: i think you may be talking about a jewel toned rug. jewel tone colors are bright, deep, and saturated, jewel tones in red, blue, purple, green and yellow can add graphic punch to any room. go to the target website and search for jewel tone rugs. they have a pic of one. hope this helps!

Q:Theres lot of blood on my carpet: Follow these steps to remove blood stains from Carpet/Synthetic, Carpet/Wool, or Foam Rubber: Mix 1 teaspoon of a mild, non-alkali detergent with 1/2 pint lukewarm water. Add a small amount to the stain and blot the liquid. Do not force the stain further into the fibers. Continue blotting until no more stain is removed. If stain remains, add 1 tablespoon ammonia to 1 cup water (do not use on wool), sponge stain, and blot liquid. Continue until no more stain is removed. Place an absorbent pad over the damp area and weight it down. When no more liquid is drawn out, remove the pad and allow it to air dry thoroughly.
