- Q:My horse lives in a paddock all week round and with the current climate in sydney its hot one day and raining the next. I live in sydney and he lives 2.5 hours away. He is on an agistment property but i only see him on weekends and the people feed him for me. Are there any rugs that you can think of that are breathable but fairly waterproof and would keep him dry in this annoying weather. TThank you so much and also please only answer if you actually have something helpful to contribute.
- I live in Northern NSW- right now we're getting a fair amount more rain than Sydney. It's HORRIBLE and I totally feel you're pain. My advice is to get a fly-mesh rug. (Horseland has them- the saxon brand is really cheap- weatherbeeta is a better quality). It won't keep him dry, but it will keep the bugs off- and it will keep him cool when its hot. When it starts getting colder you should invest in a light waterproof winter rug (maybe 130g polyfill) which will be fine to leave on him all week in winter- and it will keep him dry. Right now all the horses here are in either flymesh rugs or cotton rugs. They don't stay dry- but it keeps them covered and keeps the bugs off. Lets hope this rain stops soon- I'm so sick of it!
- Q:I need to clean a spot of urine from our oriental rug (from Dubai). It may have been a day old when I discovered it. I soaked up as much as I could with a paper towel but it has left a slight stain.
- You do not need to buy anything expensive. The ingredients you need are baking soda, vinegar, dish washing liquid, and hydrogen peroxide. This will work on both the stain and the odor. Many people swear by various commercial products and you could buy something from a pet store or from a vet, but this recipe will work just as well and won't cost as much. Best of luck with it.
- Q:Any time it rains my carpet feels damp..(no leaks) I have a brick home...Any suggestions?
- It could be rain getting on your door and then leaking down and into you house.
- Q:I keep a super clean litter box, sometimes she goes in it sometimes she doesn't. The bath rug is literally a foot away from her litter box. She's 1yrs old, fixed and is good behaved except for that. Ive washed the rugs, got new ones, tried different material rugs, everything... the rugs have all had rubber backing. I remember I had a rug w/ out the rubber backing I don't think she pee'd on that 1. Could it be the rubber or something? We moved a few months back could that be a reason?
- There are so many reasons why she could be doing this, I have 3 cats and I went through this with one of mine a few years ago and now a different cat started doing it after I moved.(The other one stopped when I started covering the couch, his favorite place to pee, with aluminum foil when I wasn't home) Moving can be a big factor behind it, cats bond more with their homes than their owners so moving is a HUGE deal to them. I would have the vet rule out a urinary infection just to be safe, especially if she meows while going or you see any blood in it. Some cats just seem to like peeing on soft things rather than litter. That seems to be what is going on with my guy now, he never did it while living in my apartment, but he started peeing on dirty clothes and rugs about 2 months after I moved into a house, and I had thought he was the most adjusted one! If you catch her doing it, you can yell loudly or shake a pop can with a couple of pennies in it and it may sink in to her that you do not like what she is doing. So far I have not found a cure for my guy, other than I can no longer leave anything on the floor (rugs, clothes, towels, nothing). If I do, he pees on them within a few hours. It is very frustrating, my boyfriend is ready to get rid of him if it doesn't stop. Just a quick note, both of my boys were cleared of having any medical problems causing their peeing outside the litterbox

- Q:I have an approximately 2'x2' section of carpet that is snagged and needs to be replaced.
- There is a patch kit available at home depot. If you have extra carpet of the same kind that's great, if not, look in a closet or area where your room is carpeted but not seen and take some of that carpet. What you do is cut out an area a little larger than the area that needs to be replaced with the tool in the kit. Then cut a new piece, line up the grain or weave of the berber and put an adhesive on the backing or sometimes it is just a tape and roll it with a roller from the kit. It works great!!
- Q:is there a website w/ cute teen rugs not like target or pbteen. but a website just for cute rugs!
- www.okorder / ... 52 pages of rugs, have fun!!
- Q:While yard-selling I came into a massive 9 by 7 grizzly bear rug with wavy blond hair in perfect condition for 20 dollars. Of course, I bought it. It's completely real, there is even a mole or two on the hyde if you look close. A good friend says they go for around 10,000 dollars. How much do you think, and where would I go to sell it?
- Advertise it on Guns America, Guns International, Gun Auction. These are 3 places used by people who have the money to afford it. From what I found, you can expect to get $3,000. to $5,000. for it; IF it is in very good condition. Grizzly Bear Rugs The fur of a grizzly bear rug is commonly medium to dark brown but in rare cases can have a silver tip or blond color. The long guard hairs often have a lighter tip, giving the bears their 'grizzled' appearance. Grizzly bear rugs have very soft and long thick hair. The head is very large and round with a concave facial profile and the claws are extremely long and thick. - Q:Personally, I think they are kind of dumb. They get all messed up, are hard to wash and attract dog hair like no other. Do you think it makes a house look cheesy with no rugs in the bathrooms, entryways etc?
- i think its just something to give design and stuff. but yea its pretty dumb. but i if you have wood floors and you put a table there. it would be ideal to have a rug so you don't scratch the floor. and if you have wood floors having a rug would make a good spot for you to just lay down and chill. my dad changed my house to all wood floors and i liked carpet a lot better. Just for living carpet was better. its more comfortable but cleaning wise and stuff. its terrible lol and people dont really have rugs in entranceways. those are floor mats which is different. its so you can rub the mud of your feet when its rainy outside. And as for the bathroom their usually tile. . .so idk why you would put a rug there. . .and it would get all wet and stuff and dry kinda slow.
- Q:will it mess up the carpet or don anything negative in general
- At the very least, I'd put furniture casters under the 'feet'. You want some clearance for free air-flow under it. Note: It WILL need occasional de-frosting which usually involves some spilled water. Really not a good idea to keep it on carpet.
