Q:Whats all this nonsense i hear about shampooing carpets and such? can you really do that? and like, how? hah sorry apparently my friends mom was doing it to her carpet yesterday and i am bored and thinking about doing it to my carpet but i need to know how first :D: Stains okorder /

Q:I spilled a lot of dr pepper on my carpet. I cant use vinegar or wine. just water paper towels clorox wipes and other basic stuff I need help fast: Try okorder for home solutions to remove soda stains from white carpet. You may already have something at home that will work. Be careful on other carpet stain removers because some contain bleach and could ruin your carpet. Good luck!

Q:what's the difference between an emerlen rug and a wool rug?: A wool rug is obviously made from wool or a wool. These rugs can either be hand knotted (best quality) or machine tufted. Persian rugs are wool for example. Emerlen is a 100% synthetic Polypropylene. The rugs are air-twisted (woven) and heat set. It's basically a FAKE wool rug.

Q:We have a wall-to-wall berber carpet, and we want to make it into a smaller area rug (perhaps 9'7quot; x 11quot;). Has anyone done this sort of thing before? If so, what was the approximate cost, and who did you call to service it? I tried some local carpet stores to no avail. Thanks for your input.: Local carpet stores don t have access to a rug binder? Thats strange.. Look further, when I had my store we had a place that picked up and dropped off our carpet we needed to have bound or surged..It was a week turn around time for us. But to answer you question yes you can have a pc done any size , shape or form. Some additional options are a felt backing sewn on as an anti slip mat.Surging ran our custumers about 2.5 $ a l/f. and binding was $2.00 a l/f.. Of course this can vary but it ll put you in the ballpark , price wise.. Some carpet guys have a binding machine to bind edges for when they do a carpet base like a lot of hotels use instead of a wood base.Any flooring questions you can e mail me through my avatar.. GL.

Q:Ok i just got new ferrets and every time they go onto my living room rug and then sniff it they start bugging out like they'll keep jumping really high sometimes almost flipping and then start rolling around and its only when they sniff the rug is when they do this and they do it every time. Is it bad for them to be going on that rug?: They are excited to be in a new room. This is called the weasle war dance they are doing. Means they are happy.

Q:how do you get dark spots out of my rug: If your talking about dog stains use white vinegar. My puppy pees on our white carpet all the time (she's being toilet trained) and my mum rung the stain removal people and they said use straight white vinegar and it works

Q:I have a rug that goes back in history a long time, my family bought it in an auction for 17 million dollars. It s infused with gold and diamonds and many more valuable stones.We are looking to sell it. So where would be a good place to offer it. Providing i have a certificate for it and all the details. Any help?: you won't get more than a fraction of that supposed value - your family got ripped off - why would gems and diamonds be in a rug?

Q:what is the difference between steam cleaninig and deep cleaning? I don't think we have very dirty carpet but it was always suggested by our carpet cleaner (by the way - I hate how they always upsell their services). anyways - I want to have another carpet cleaning soon in the spring and would like to be more educated about this.Bottom line is - if 'steaming cleaning' does not clean... why bother having such service in the first place?: There are many ways to clean carpets. One is where they APPLY a dry cleaning agent on your carpet, agitate the chemical into the carpet fibers and then vacuum it up. I do not prefer this method. The one I prefer is Steam Cleaning. But be sure it is a truck mount - so that it has enough suction to remove all detergents. Don't rent the steam cleaners at the super markets - all they will do is ruin your carpets because they don't have enough power to clean and/or remove the cleaning chemicals. STEAM CLEAN - IT'S THE BEST!

Q:If my room is 18x19 feet and the carpet cost is $27.77 per square yard and the installation coat is $ 175.00 . How much would it cost to install the carpet ??????: multiply 18x19 =342 sq'. Then divide that by 9 (the number of sq' in a sq' yard) =38 yards. 38 x $27.77= $1055.26. + $175.00 =1230.26 The carpet folks may say you need a bit more carpet depending on which direction they can run it in the room, matching carpet patterns, and width of carpeting, etc.

Q:i get all these fuzz fluffs coming off my wool rug. will it eventually disintegrate into nothing?: Years ago, there were rugs that had fuzz fluffs and the homeowner had a special rake looking type of tool with a long handle that they scrapped across the rug after they had vacuumed it. Needless to say, this was not very popular. Perhaps you have one of those old types of rugs.
