Q: I have a square dining table in a long rectangular room
Hi, okorder /
Q: How to clean wool carpet?
Method for daily cleaning carpet of household:1, with gasoline or alcohol and other volatile solvents to grease stains cleared.2, for soy sauce stains, you can first scrub with cold water, and then remove with detergent.3, for shoes grease stains, first use gasoline, alcohol and other erase, and then wash with soap.4, for urine stains, new stains can be washed by warm water or 10% ammonia water to remove, aging stains directly washed with ammonia.5, for fruit stains stains, first with 5% ammonia water cleaning, and then washed with neutral detergent. Wool carpets generally available citric acid or soap, alcohol can also be used.6, for ice cream stains stains available gasoline wipe.7, for coffee and tea stains available except ammonia washing or cleaning liquid, glycerin 10%.8, to vomit stains stains with 10% ammonia will vomit wet, use the soap liquid alcohol wipe, finally use neutral detergent to clean.
Q: Okay so for the past few years I've been making latch hook rugs. They take up too much space and I was wondering if there is a way to sell these? I don't really have people to sell them to, and I was wondering how one would go about getting rid of these projects while not throwing away all your cash. I am afraid to sell them on OKorder because someone might accidentally be deceived and think that it was an unfinished latch hook kit, and be surprised to find a completely finished rug at their doorstep. Any suggestions?
There okorder is another site where people sell completed handcrafts. If you have consignment shops in your area, they may be willing to sell the rugs for you. I have some that I've hung on the wall as art, and I have also used some as tops for chair cushions or throw pillows. Unfortunately, though, in general this is one of the class of craft projects where the unused kit often sells for more than the completed item. If selling doesn't work out, you may wish to restrict yourself to rug projects where you have a specific use or recipient in mind, or else put some of your energy into a less expensive craft like friendship bracelets, for instance. Good luck!
Q: My house is 5 years old. The carpet looks like it is 15 years old (cheap builders carpet). I have 2 dogs (both about 50lbs) and a cat. We are trying for our first child. Would you reccommend the hardwood laminate flooring or a better quality carpet?
Here is what I have noticed with my friends who have laminate or hardwood floors versus those of us that have carpeting. 1 - Wood floors are very unforgiving with crumbs and such on them, you have to constantly sweep them to keep them looking nice and crumb free. When they go unswept they will actually look worse than most carpetings. 2 - Carpets with pets will need to be vacuumed at least every other day. While carpeting is forgiving and doesn't show all the crumbs that might be on the floor, you do have to worry about spills and the whole allergens being trapped in it and all. 3 - With laminate flooring, if you drop something on it there is always the chance that the laminate will crack and the wood underneath will show through..while something like Bamboo, which is a renewable resource is the same color all the way through. So, for me it is a matter of wether you want to vacuum constantly or sweep constantly. I grew up in a household where we had carpeting and dogs inside. None of us had a problem with allergies or anything like that...but, my Mom does vacuum every other day and would also sweep the tile every other day as well. I think it is sixes as far as work and upkeep goes...wood is just more popluar right now.
Q: I spilled red acrylic paint on my cream carpet, and on trying to clean it up have only made it spread. ( Yeh, it was silly D: ) Now my carpet has a huge great pink stain in it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of it please?
only chance is either acetic acid (vineger) or acetone (nail polish remover) it will either work or it won't. If neither works the paint isn't coming out.
Q: The water that I am dumping out is beyond filthy. Is all of that dirty water really coming from the dirt in my carpet? I shampoo the carpets about every 6 months, and we don't even wear shoes in the house.
ABSOLUTELY!!! I bought my own, the water is just as dirty! We vacuum. But we usually only clean the surface. My mom had a vacuum that had lights on it that told when the area you were going over was clean. She had dogs, high traffic. I don't know if that light ever went out. Most people vacuum the surface, the shampooer goes to the bottom where most of the dirt and sand goes.
Q: I recently bought an ikea rug, which isn't exactly an area rug, but is big enough not to put in a washer. I vacuum it regularly, but it is a white rug with big colourful blobs, and the dirt off of my feet can be seen in certain spots.. I was wondering if anyone knew how to clean it.. I was just going to buy a carpet cleaner and scrub it, but there are multiple spots with dirt. Also, I'm not sure if the colours are going to bleed if I try to do that.. I don't really want to buy a steam cleaner, but I guess if that is my only option.. but again i don't want the colours to bleed.Any info is appreciated! Thanks!
I okorder where they seems to be giving $250 IKEA gift card that you might want to check if you like IKEA stuff. I just filled it up a couple days ago, You just need a valid e-mail because they will send you the details asking your mailing address to send you the gift card. Hope it comes, worth a shot, since it's just took me 3 minutes.
Q: Okay, I have to do chores and I completely forgot what is a rug! I am a dumb blond..
A rug is a shape of cut-out carpet with a backing that can be lifted up to vacuum beneath it or to hide stuff under it. A carpet covers the expanse of a room or house and is quite stuck to the floor because it is the floor. If you can lift it up to hide stuff under it then you ruined your carpet. You can have a rug on top of carpet.
Q: What material of the domestic carpet is better?
the carpet is not same for the door and the coffee table, the door can be used plastic carpet, the most expensive, the tea table should be used wool carept.
Q: whats the difference between them, also can i turnout my mare in her medium weight stable rug just while its mild before i get my heavyweight turnout rug...what would happen to the stablerug?WHATS THE DIFFERENCE...is it like the material or something?rly confused
What differentiates blankets are three things; the denier, how the blanket is woven (the shape of the fabric (Weatherbeeta uses diamonds, Rambo are tiny tiny squares, and other brands are large squares) and the fill. IF you READ what both of those blankets say they are both 200g fill. Which is the same exact thing. In America, 200g is considered a midweight blanket. The first link is their older model. The second link was last year's model (which is now being discontinued for this coming year's new model). Shires blankets have one of the highest deniers on the market, and they use balistic nylon (so virtually indestructible). The oh so beloved Rambo brand only goes up to a 1680, but most of their blankets average 1200D. Definitions of blankets: Sheet - NO FILL, Turnout Light - 100G fill, turnout, also known as a California light Medium - 200G fill, turnout Heavy - 300G-500G depending on the country. Stable blankets, sheets, rugs, whatever, are meant for the stable. Like the name insinuates. People call blankets whatever they want. To each person a rug may mean something different. A sheet is not a light, because a light would have fill.
