- Before you go to the expense of installing a pump to boost pressure, be sure that you don't have a water VOLUME problem. Buy a pressure gauge (about $20) and connect it to your outside hose bib. If your pressure is about 40 psi, then you don't have a pressure problem. If you live in the USA, the Feds (aren't you glad they're looking out for you?) have mandated that no more than 2.5 gallons per minute can flow out a shower head. That's not much volume. So, I would look for a restriction device in the shower head. If the device is part of the shower head, you can't do anything about it specifically. Compare it to a garden hose and a soda straw with 60 psi water pressure. The soda straw won't provide the volume of water that a garden hose would provide. It would seem that the soda straw has less pressure, but it does not. Normal residential water pressure is on the order of 40-60 psi (I have 85 psi). But if new construction continues in my neighborhood, my pressure will decrease because more demand through a fixed size pipe means lower pressure..

- Try a thermostat first. The heater bypasses the thermostat and the engine runs cool. Its a cheap fix and if thats not the fix go with troubleshooting the radiator, colapsed hoses, water pump! Be sure to install it correctly!

- First step is to check all fluid levels. Was the coolant level low? Want to know if the water pump is leaking then do a cooling system pressure test; it will tell you if the engine has any external leak, including the water pump, a majority of the time the pressurized coolant will leak out at the Weep hole at the water pump or gasket. When you open the radiator cap to perform a cooling system pressure test the look at the coolant or whatever inside and see if that Liquid is the same color of the Suspected liquid that you think is leaking. You can buy a flushing cooling system kit and the cleaning chemical at any auto part store and see if you can clean out the cooling system. It'll depend on how much Rusty the liquid look like, you may have to do it several times. Replace with proper mixture of coolant/ Antifreeze. HTH.

- 1. you are going to need at least a couple gallons of water in a bucket to re-prime. 2. look for a plug at the top of the pump and remove it. 3. pour water into the plug opening, filling up the pump as much as you can. 4. put plug back in so at least one thread is grabbing. by doing this it will allow air to escape and won't be spraying water everywhere. it is also a good idea to keep your hand on the plug. 5. turn on electricity to pump. 6. when you start to notice pressure re-gaining tighten up the plug so it does not drip. It is also a good idea to have an outside tap on to get air out of the lines. Another thing is, it is a good idea to shut off water to toilets and washing machines before re-starting pump because small debris have a habit of clogging them up. When your pressure is back, drain your toilet and cold water line to your washing machine, flushing all the stuff out until you see nice clear water. Hope I helped and good luck.
