Q:I have a 1969 Chrysler with a new 3 core radiator. It still has the stock water pump and I am wondering if a high volume pump would make it run cooler at higher speeds. It runs hotter when you get off the freeway. I have flushed the system and installed a new thermostat. I also replaced the fan clutch. I am at a loss of why it still runs warmer than the 180* thermostat.
Sometimes I really wonder about Robert. Yeah, water boils at 212--AT ATMOSPHERIC pressure. But a cooling system is pressurized to RAISE the boiling point. So, ah, Robert is once again in left field. Because if you wait for it to boil over, you've probably already caused engine damage. You do NOT need a high volume pump. The 3 core radiator does NOT need more flow. The temp gauge should not fluctuate. That's the job of the T-stat--to regulate engine temp and keep it at a set point. If you're engine is getting hot at higher speeds, Check for missing baffles or cracked fan shroud
Q:I have 2000 ford ranger v6 3.0 I replaced the water pump ten months ago and all of a sudden it's running hot it only runs hot when I stop for a second at a red light or stop sign. I changed the radiator today but still is running hot. The top radiato hose going to the thermostat housing is building a lot of pressure and the water is bubbling in the reservoir what could be wrong? And I took the thermostat out last week
Check the 20 amp fuse under the hood that sends power to the relay. Also I have a 94 ranger and when I put the fuel pump in a few months back it blew that fuse.It blew because the pump was stuck.I had to take it out and wired to the battery 12 volt to get it to start and then reinstalled.Anyway check that fuse..
Q:I have a small stream by my backyard where my garden is and I want to use that water so I will need a pump with a hose attachment. What kind of water pump will I need to get for this?
As the water may contain foreign matter like sand, weeds , organics of other types you need a pump with a centrifugal impeller. depend on the height of lift, volume of flow and the head pressure needed to overcome friction loss will determine the size needed . A small sump pump type unit may work but they need to be immersed fully for cooling the motor.
Q:Difference between primary hot water pump and two hot water pump
Primary pump variable flow VPF (variable primary)Flow) system is the new layout of central air-conditioning system, compared with the one or two pump system has more advantages in initial investment and operation cost. At present, some with a pump with variable flow system engineering in the operation of many problems,
Q:my nissan 1993 maxima SEthe AC is not cold at all this year it ran perfect the year beforecan the water pump pressure really affect the AC?how much should a new water pump cost for my car?

Q:The water pump was just put on by the previous owner! It was in water! So what could cause this to happen? Is it bad? Should I wait for water to pump up to it? Or should I just put a new one on?
this is what, five, six questions all about the same topic? I'm so confused. what does this mean, Should I wait for water to pump up to it? pump up to what? Could be a blockage in the telltale hose or nipple. Could be a blockage in the water jacket. Could be overheating for some other reason, (lean burning due to clogged carbs, inadequate oiling cause somebody forgot the oil, bad timing, etc.) and steam in the system is blocking the telltale. Forgot the water tube guide grommet and the water tube slipped off.
Q:I'm not too familiar with computerized cars, just wondering if the water pump going out would cause the car not to start?
Drain coolant, would would desire to eliminate coolant reservoir, next pull belt tensoner back and eliminate belt remembering the way its routed. next eliminate the bolts on w-pump pulley eliminate outer ring of bolts on pump. sparkling gasket setting up new one ,.bleed air from equipment to pevent overheat.desire that's stable.
Q:I was wondering if there was a device that can pump and cool water. What I am looking for is essentially an aquarium pump that cools the water as it circulates.

Q:my sump pump keeps filling with sewer water. i cant figure out why or where it could be coming from. and the smell is awful.
A sump pump is designed for use in the basements of homes whose water tables make them prone to flooding. Many basements are actually below the water table. This means that should the integrity of the walls or floor of the basement be breached, the basement could flood. This would result in thousands of dollars of water damage to anything in the basement, as well as the loss of anything irreplaceable that's stored there. Even should no breach occur, a great deal of moisture and condensation forms over of time within such spaces. Typically the water drains into a hole in the basement floor called a sump pit. When the water level in the hole rises to a certain level, the sump pump engages and removes the water. A pedestal sump pump, for example, has a long rod that extends down into the sump pit. At the top of the rod sits an electrical motor. Beside the rod is an inflated plastic bubble such as the kind one finds in flush toilets, attached to a pressure switch. When the water level rises beyond the bubble, the bubble is buoyed upward and activates the pressure switch. The switch turns on the electric motor, which sucks the water out of the sump pit and passes it through a connecting PVC pipe. This pipe may lead outward into the soil away from the house's foundation, or it may be connected to the wastewater system that connects to the house's drains and toilets. In either case, the water is pumped out automatically.
Q:i replaced the water pump and redid the timing belt. now when i start it, it sounds like one of the cylinder is misfiring and makes a chucking noise. do you have to reconnect everything together to see if thats the problem? the engine worked fine before i replaced my water pump. engine like vibrates at each chucking noise. could it be incorrect timing even when the engine starts fine? or is one of the valves bent which is causing the vibration and noise? i checked teh spark plugs and they are fine could if be bad coils? or is the crankshaft weared out? please help and thanks for you help about my situation.
It should have nothing to do with the water pump. When you replaced the timing belt, you probably re-installed it a few notches/teeth off and the timing is off, and that's why you are getting the misfires. If the timing was WAY off when you re-installed it, there is a slim chance you could have bent some valves, but that's a long shot. You probably just have to re-adjust the timing belt and things will be fine.
