- Well I had a huge rug 13 ft X 10 ft and it cost me $250.00, it was the king they pick up and clean and bring back. But Im sure you can get the stain out yourself. I raised 2 kids and a grandbaby and I have many times. You got a couple of options; You can take it outside and hose it down with the water hose and let it dry, it will dry faster if you drape it over a fence or car or picnic table. Or you can get carpet cleaners like Resolve in any store, I have used the one a dollar tree and I think it works just as well, Id vacuume it as well as I could first, spray foam either all over or just on the spot and rub a wet wash cloth or rag or sponge over it until it comes clean. Its alot cheaper and faster than professionals. But if you want to you probably could get a company to come out and steam clean it on your floor for about $99.00.

- You might consider calling your landlord and complaining see if they can send a pro out. Its not your mess and its not something you should have to deal with. If that is not an option I would rent a steam cleaner, just scrubbing will make it soak into the pad and spread but a steam cleaner will suck it out. I think it was bissell (bought mine at target) makes a pet odor remover rug cleaner for steam cleaners, it does help a lot. Before steam cleaning you can pour some pet enzyme cleaner on the area, one I used was called Petzyme and can be found at pet stores. If its really bad though, not a small area but a large area that appears to have been urinated on multiple times its most likely going to need to get replaced. That again wwould be your landlords responsibility, they should not rent out a house with unsanitary conditions.
