Q: anyone know where i can find a transmission for a ‘93 Nissan 240 (convertible)?or, any transmission repair shop who will fix my car for a decent price (near Hillsborough, New Jersey)?
if you're looking for new/or refurbished, it's best to start with your local auto stores ie: auto zone, advance, o'reilly's this way you can have a warranty with your purchase, good luck. gerald
Q: It‘s a 94‘ ford bronco that pours out transmission fluid, any ideas on whats wrong with it? I‘ve heard that its a rear main seal, and the transmission would have to be dropped to fix it? Is it even worth it to fix this truck? i mean it‘s a four wheel drive with brand new tires, I just don‘t know if i should even take it into a shop to get fixed. And, If its not the rear main seal, what else could it be?
Firstforget the rear main sealit is in the motor and would leak oil, not transmission fluid. The transmission has 2 sealsa front and back one. The front seal is inside the bell housing that bolts the transmission to the motor, and can only be replaced by removing the transmission. The rear seal is not so hard, just remove the drive shaftnot a very hard job. Also the transmission has 2 more ways to leak fluidfrom the pan gasket, and from the lines going to the radiatorthe fluid is cooled that way. It is not as likely the leak is from a linebut the pan gasket often is a source for leaks. You can try using a store bought leak stop for transmissions, it conditions the seals and if the leak is not too bad sometimes will cure the problemmight have to put in in a couple times before it works
Q: Shouldn t we match the antenna to the load(modulator, etc.) rather than the transmission line?
A transmission line has a characteristic impedance. If the antenna properly matches the line, the maximum possible power transfer will occur. Any mismatch reduces that effectiveness. Likewise and for the same reason, the transmission line should be matched to the transmitter itself.
Q: please advise location of filter for auto transmission ; for Mitshubishi lancer cg .
the reason they are tight on hub is that your lug nuts only hold the wheel to the hub the center part of the hub the hub takes all the weight and road abuse [ cornering , pot holes, etc, ] if they were loose it would shear of your lug bolts. to help next time get you some anti-seize and put some on wheel center and lug bolts
Q: WEhat type of transmission system was used in those cars and how it differ from manual and automatic transmissions of later cars and todays computerized systems?
I would guess Costco or Wal-Mart.
Q: What transmission oil do I use. Put new transmissin an clutch and eveything but car shakes when I put in the gear. Plz hlp
It really doesn't matter as they are all pretty much the same. CL seems to be a popular choice but none of it will matter if you dont buy a tuner or get a dyno shop to tune your car. TUNE TUNE TUNE thats what will make the difference, not the filter.
Q: Every racing game has an option in the game either manual or automatic transmission? What gives?Which side is better?
I can't use automatic when I play GT3 (I never got 4 but maybe will someday). I started using manual when playing 2 and got so used to it that not having it would be like taking away the steering wheel. Drifting is night to impossible without it as I prefer a lower gear than automatic would have me in while spinning my wheels lose around turns. I often upshift early with cars like the Viper to keep the wheels gripping in back. A friend of mine who is used to auto came over and we both raced each other in my Vantage and he was like How the hell can you drive this thing? Because it was tuned for my style which utilizes the advantages of manual shifting.
Q: How can i service transmission for a 98 chrysler sebring coupe lxi, 24 valve 2.5 liter. How much transmissiont fluid should be added. Tips? Extra info accepted thanks
i think they might have had a recall for this announced some time ago. if the problem can still be addressed by the dealer to be fixed under warranty, then go for it (but take it to a reputable Hyundai dealer cause some dealers can treat you like crap and make things worse). yes, to my automotive knowledge, the symptoms you mention sound a lot like a typical fuse problem. no worries then, it always happens to the best of us. my uncle's 06 sonata does not have this same problem, though, (strangely, but i am telling the truth). maybe hes just plain evil, lol. but seriously, though, its a computer-chip thing so dont try to work out the kinks by yourself and make the problem even worse. it needs to be handled professionally. good luck with the problem, i hope your Sonata keeps treating you well after its resolved, and no, Hyundais are not crap. the suckers that do call them that are only saying it cause they feel obligated to defend themselves of their regretful purchases of REALLY UNreliable crap (kraut-mobiles), or splurging thousands of dollars more on a car that can do no better (jap-mobiles). current Hyundai owners, on the other hand, are truly smarter.
Q: I can not find my transmission fluid cap my 99 cavalier(2.2l). It is a 5 speed manual, on all my other cars it was very accessible.
You can not check the trans fluid in a manual the same way you check an auto trans. There is no dipstick or cap, but a plug on the trans itself that must be removed to check.
Q: What is terrestrial transmission what are the range of signals used for it?
In very easy words and very generalized: A transmission from point A to point B that doesnt make use of satellites. If the transmission is straight from point A to point B, then the maximus range it's a bit more of the horizon (depending on what frequency are you transmitting) Use of repeaters can extend the range. LF MF HF VHF UHF are the most common frequencies used for terrestrial communications.
