Q: Ihave an automatic 2.3 4 cylinder 1998 honda accord. While driving on the highway car was going 65 till the rpms started going really high randomly and i have no idea what to doIt kept doing that. If its the transmission does that thing at advanced auto part transmission fix work temporary? The car shifts fine. From park to reverse it moves good but i don‘t know What to do
Transmission fix in a bottle will not solve your problem. Get it to a transmission shop ASAP to avoid further damage
Q: Human Pappiloma Virus (HPV) (Wart virus) Transmission?Hi all. Does anybody know for sure whenher HPV, the human pappiloma Virus can be transmitted via sharing a bathroom, trying clothes (not underwear but like pants, jeans, etc) at a store, or by any other means other than sexual or very intimate skin and genital contact ? How about at swimming pools ?Thank you so muchBest.
none of the above. some sources say that there is still a percentage of transmission through soap and a bathtowel, but not likely. Transmission mostly happens during skin to skin contact. It's a skin virus not blood or siliva!
Q: 1996 toyota corolla with a transmission that has only drive and park no nuteral and no reverse. I am wanting to turn it into a pony stock and run it at my local dirt track. I was wondering if i need a new transmission or if i can still use this one. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
No Neutral? as in you put it in neutral it drives forward? that should coincide with if you put it in reverse it locks and will not move either direction, totally toasted transmission - the forward clutch is welded. Possibly repairable, but requires tear down to determine if it can be salvaged.
Q: on a crown Victoria 2003 police interceptor so many rumors around flushing a transmission
You need to buy a scrap or 2nd hand suspension unit
Q: When you buy a new engine does it come with a transmission?Basically are they the same part attached to each other?
most of the time, the engine is bolted directly to the transmission. cars such as the newer corvettes or the 63 tempest and i am sure there are more, had what resembled a drive shaft from the back of the engine to the front of the trans. its funny that some one gave me a thumbs down for this. i have seen it. sure the engine is purchased as a separate part aside from the trans but still in the car they are bolted together most of the time.
Q: whats the difference between a regular 97 lincoln town car transmission and a crown vic police package transmission?is it worth the swap?????
Same basic model of transmission, only difference is in the valve body and the computer programming to give mosre positive shifts and higher rpm for the police transmission (less comfort more agreesive for pursuit driving) the difference however is not that great and to get the benefit you would need to reprogram the PCM to a police calibration.
Q: The engine blew in my 86 camaro 5 speed. I want to put a 92 5.7L camaro engine in it but they only came stock with automatic transmissions. Would I be able to Find a manual transmission to fit or possibly convert a transmission to work?
I would think any manual transmission for that era should bolt up.that bellhousing bolt pattern has been around for years. Then all you need is to find a donor car to strip the foot pedals and clutch lines out of. Quite a bit of work to convert but it's in no way complicated. All the holes you need are in the auto car .just plugged off from factory.
Q: I‘m trying to buy an 1999 Oldsmobile Alero GLS but it has a electronic transmission and I don‘t know if that‘s good or bad. What is the difference between an automatic transmission and a electronic one?
well automatic electronic its the type or automatic transmission basically the electronic part has to do with the sensors and solenoids in the transmission not to mention it has its own computer this allows for smoother shifts pretty much every car and truck had these now days its vary common.
Q: I found out that Acura‘s transmission go bad in about 80 000 miles is this a myth or fact? what should I do my car is about 80 0000Please drop a line.
That transmission STARTS to go bad around that mileage- MANY of them last 140k to 160k. Keep it topped off by checking the fluid once a month, you'll be fine.
Q: What is terrestrial transmission what are the range of signals used for it?
In very easy words and very generalized: A transmission from point A to point B that doesnt make use of satellites. If the transmission is straight from point A to point B, then the maximus range it's a bit more of the horizon (depending on what frequency are you transmitting) Use of repeaters can extend the range. LF MF HF VHF UHF are the most common frequencies used for terrestrial communications.
