Q:i recently went out reaching to buy a car but i came upon a lot of car that say that, transmission is mess up or need to be replace but i dunno what a transmission is or do i know what an engine is but anyway what do u expect im a girl hi hi hi jp please let me know thank u
How about Sander? Or d'Artagnan (pronounced dart-an-yon)?
Q:What is terrestrial transmission what are the range of signals used for it?
In very easy words and very generalized: A transmission from point A to point B that doesnt make use of satellites. If the transmission is straight from point A to point B, then the maximus range it's a bit more of the horizon (depending on what frequency are you transmitting) Use of repeaters can extend the range. LF MF HF VHF UHF are the most common frequencies used for terrestrial communications.
Q:I have a 91 grand caravan that is in good shape except for the transmission. It isn‘t too serious but when you stop, sometimes it goes into neutral and you have to rev the engine to get it back into drive. What should i do to fix this? Will lucas oil transmissionfix work?
check the fluid level on the dipstick, sounds low
Q:How much would it cost to get a manual transmission swap for an 08 Honda Accord?
wow, i heard about these things nad i think there quite expensive, you rather just sell your car and get a manual one lol you gotta change the transmision, do trhe interior. add in the clutch and all. a lot of work and money.
Q:A pre-inspection of a used car I‘m buying (I don‘t know the mechanic he‘s far away) recommended a transmission power flush and a power steering fluid change. It‘s a ‘01 Rav 4 with 55k. Is this really necessary?
NO transmission flush is most likely not needed and can cause tranmission damage , at 55 k it could probally use a transmission fluid change ( not a flush ) the power steering flushes and transmission flushes are normally not needed. Shop's like to sell them becuse they are very profitable for the shop. Not always in the customers best intrest
Q:I think my transmission is slipping and I‘m wondering if I change out the transmission filter may help or maybe fix the issue.
If the transmission is slipping, changing the fluid and filter (You will have to change the fluid if you change the filter) will probably make things worse instead of better. The transmission is slipping because the friction material has worn off the clutches, and now some of that material is suspended in the transmission fluid, and that keeps the transmission from slipping even worse. If you change the fluid now, the suspended material will be gone, and as a result it may not even be drivable. My suggestion to you is to take it to a local reputable transmission shop, and have them check it out, if it is slipping, they might just be able to replace the clutches.
Q:I need to decided between an automatic and a manual transmission for my new car. Ive ridden motercycles my whole life so i can shift. I would pick up shifting in a car in a heartbeat even though its slightly different than bikes so thats not a problem. Whats cooler for a young guy? Some girls ive asked say manual is like sexy and manly. Others say automatic because its easier to drive. Any advice?
I prefer manual transmissions because I keep my cars a long time (current one is coming up on 300,000 miles) and auto transmissions cost a mint to repair when they fail and I have never seen an auto transmission that worked right after being rebuilt. Unless you abuse it a manual transmission will last almost indefinitely. A clutch job cost less than half of an auto transmission rebuild. Manual transmissions also allow for better fuel efficiency. Quite frankly I don't care which is cooler but the down side is that a manual transmission is a real pain in a traffic jam or heavy city traffic.
Q:1996 Chevy Tahoe. I buoght the Tahoe and in a month the transmission case cracked in the rear in front of the spacer to the transfer case. I bought another transmission case and rebuilt it. I drove the Tahoe less than twenty miles and it cracked in the same place. What could be causing the transmission case to crack? Thanx for any ideas!
well there are two areas that your going to have to look at 1 being drive line angle the 2nd being the mount system. meaning motor mounts and transmount somewhere you are getting flex in the system and its binding up or getting way out of shape. there is the slim chance as well that there is a difference in gear ratio between the front and rear differentials since it is 4wd. not knowing anything about the previous owners there is always the chance that they blew a diff. and just replaced it with another of the wrong ratio first start with drive line angle's and mounts before looking into different ratio's good luck to ya.
Q:the transmission is a 2-speed GM ST300 (super turbine)
there are no adjustments on any GM transmissions, if it's acting up it will have to be rebuilt or change the fluid and filter and add a bottle of Lucas transmission fix to free up any sticky valves in it and hope for the best, the only transmissions that have adjustments are the mopar transmissions.
Q:Common faults of automobile transmission system
Transmission shift performance as follows: in the car when the file driving, the transmission automatically jump back to the gap. The reason is that the inner and outer gears of the gears are too large to be tapered; the spline teeth of the output shaft and the spline groove of the sliding gear are loosened due to excessive wear and tear; the bearing wears too much and the two meshing gears In the movement up and down swing; output shaft five gears often engaged gear bushings and washers wear too large and loose, swing up and down in the movement; output shaft, input shaft stopper ring or lock nut off or loose, causing Shaft or gear before and after the move; shift fork on the self-locking ball wear; groove is too shallow or groove position improper; spring is too soft or spring break; variable fork shaft and variable fork wear or bending.
