- Q:Anyone know which wire behind the navigation unit is the brake wire? I THINK it's pink, but there are multiple pink wires behind the navigation unit.Thoughts?

- Q:I'm wiring a dvc 4ohm sub with 1000rms and I'm trying to wire it at 2 ohms to a mono-d amplifier. Is there a recomendation on the guage of speaker wire I should use? And Another question. When I run a wire to both positive terminals and a seperate wire to both negative terminals does that give me 8ohms or how does that work?

- Q:I recently re-wired my house with 4 wire telephone wire. They all meet in the attic. How do I wire them together and is there some kind of junction plate I can use? Additionally, I did also wire my house with Cat6 wire, but would like to keep it strictly for Internet.

- Q:I wired up my brothers stereo in his 1994 volvo 850. At the time, I knew nothing about wiring harnesses so I did everything one wire at a time. I got it working but the stereo can still run with the car off. If you turn the radio off, a small led stays lit on the front. My brother couldn't get his car to start this morning. Could this little light be drawing enough power to run the battery dead over night? Should he just get a wiring harness and hook wires up like that?
- If the stereo runs even with the ignition turned off, then you have wired a continuous power supply to the radio instead of an accessory, and that will drain his battery. I always recommend using a wiring harness when installing an aftermarket stereo, as there is no way you can accidentally wire something wrong.

- power control wire from were the amp or the stereo if its from the amp then it might be eighter the remote or the power but you said that its all wired up all ready so im thinking it might be the remote if so you run a wire from (power control wire) to the blue wire coming out of your stereo im not sure if we are talking about the same thing here but be more specific so our answers can be more accurate good luck
- Q:I need to rewire my boats trolling motor wiring.. I have a 55# thrust trolling motor witch draws about 45-50 amps under a full load. I have 8 GA on hand I could use.. but would I get full power out of my motor? Does 8 gauge wire support 50 amps? It is stereo wire.. Braided copper wiring.
- How long is the wire run? 8-gauge can handle 50 amps safely, but you may get an unacceptable level of voltage drop if the wire run is very long. If it's just a few feet, it should be fine. If you have enough wire, you can always use two runs. If you combine two 8-gauge wires, it's the equivalent of a 5-gauge wire.
- Q:Hi,I'm trying to install a ceiling light with a 3 wire configuration (white, black, ground) into a wire configuration of 4 wires (white, red, black, ground). This is configured for two on/off switches.So far, I have white to white, black to black, and ground to ground with the red capped off. This works with one switch perfectly, however when I hit the other switch, the circuit breaker blows.Please help, and thank you!

Most hookup wire is rated at 600 volts but unfortunately, all computer stuff is now made in China. The repair job of a vintage piece of equipment requires wire that can withstand 300 VAC.
- i couldn't tell you without knowing the amperage in those 300vac because amps are what generate the heat but if you wanna know if its high quality or not strip the psu wire and if its silver its good wire if its copper..... use at your own risk
