A deep blue or burgundy.

How do I remove the marks??: not sure what kind of marks you are referring too so check with a floor expert in your area before you do anything so you don't add to your problem . or resend in more details . after you get the floor problem resolved put a good grade rug pad under it . that will protect your floor from further damage

Q: I spilled red acrylic paint on my cream carpet, and on trying to clean it up have only made it spread. ( Yeh, it was silly D: ) Now my carpet has a huge great pink stain in it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of it please?: Soak a cleaning rag in water. Make sure that the rag is thoroughly saturated. Do not use hot water, but use room temperature tap water or cool water. Lay the rag on top of the stain. Press the soaking rag onto the stain. The paint will lift out of the carpet and onto the rag. You may need to rinse and repeat this several times to get all the paint out. Resist the urge to scrub until the paint is faded to completely gone. Let the carpet dry. This may take several hours. You will probably need to vacuum to restore the nap, which may be flattened because of the soaking and pressing.

Q: My dog got ahold of one of my moms plants. I told her it was stupid to buy them while the dog was in the house. Anyways, the dog got ahold of the plant and drug it across the carpet, I tried vacuuming the carpet, but it just stained. Q: It is just a plain pink bathroom rug, that has like the rubber or whatever on the bottom. Q: This old rug has been stored in a musty damp place. It's beautiful, and I want to try to clean it and keep it. When I started to vacuum it, I found the backing in places was turning to sand and the threads connected to it were separating. The suction was too much. So, before I can clean it, I need to treat the back somehow in order to keep the rug intact. Does anyone know how I can do that? Taking it to someone who can restore it is out of the question.: Then it's not a real oriental rug. A true oriental carpet will be something that could be turned over and the weave would be visible on the back side; it is not held together by a rubber backing. If your carpet had rubberized backing on it, this means it was a commercial carpet with an oriental design. Those backings are not meant to last forever, and they simply deteriorate with exposure to air and the elements. There is nothing you can do to restore it, to my knowledge. The rubberized backing has broken down, and that's irreversible - part and parcel of the product that you purchased. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Just this summer I had to toss two such carpets at church. One of them had backing that was dry and powdery; the other, much cheaper, had to be peeled off the hallway, and we had to spray with orange oil and go at the backing with a putty knife to remove the backing from the floor...a messy and nasty job. Be glad you never put that on the floor. You'd be cussing if you had to remove it.
