Q:I spilled hot hair removal wax on my carpet in two places in my aparment. A. Is there any way to remove the wax from the carpet. B. If there is not a way to remove it, does the whole carpet in the room have to be replaced or just the small area? C. How much does this generally cost. I would rather just pay for it myself than have the landlord try to bill me for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well if it wasnt a whole lot then i think you can get it out. my daughter spilled candle wax, quite a bit, on her carpet. at any superstore you can get a product called goof-off or something like that in the paint dept. it took all of the wax out and did not discolor the carpet at all good luck

Very soft; under normal circumstances, in fact, there is no need to lay a mat on it, it's needed in every family , if you feel it's unecessary, you can choose not to lay it. after all, it is just the floor. actually, that depends on your needs

And contrary to what Aaron says, i have found, as have many others, that most subspecies of carpet don't need very high humidity. You don't want an arid environment either, but 40% humidity is more than adequate. There are also other subspecies, inland carpets grow to an average of 5-6 ft, diamond pythons grow to an average of 5-7.5 ft, darwin carpets grow to an average of 4.5-6 ft, but the ones Aaron listed are the most common, at least in America.

Q:Is it possible to make a shag rug for a bedroom out of that faux fur you see in fabric stores? If so, whats the best way to go about it? I was just going to get a yard or so and put some no-slip mat under it but maybe there are better ideas? Is there any reason this is a bad idea? Let me know.Thanks!

Certainly it's possible and not at all difficult. I don't condone even faux animal hides/shapes for rugs, but if you have it in mind just think of a shape and cut the fabric/shape, with a decent shear. The fabric sold as is,,,is designed as fabric, not carpet material and won't pull or shred like the weave of carpet often does when sheared. It's usually a Polyester, and matted on the back. I've used in for Theater, for years. It isn't strictly as durable as carpet material, but depending on its use and abuse it should be OK. Without knowing at all what animal or pattern you have in mind; a yard seems small; unless perhaps it's sold in 4/5/6 ft. widths? Certainly Joannes and other fabric stores carry varieties from bear type to Zebra, leopard, etc. Also the no slip is advised, but if you plan on having it in place for awhile there is also a mesh double sided tape specific to carpet that might work as well.

Carpet Pythons are semi arboreal, so they will appreciate some things to climb on when they are young and old. But as they get older they will need some pretty sturdy branches. Depending on what locality you get, it may get anywhere from 6'-12'. Carpet Pythons actually mellow out a lot when they mature a bit. They are fine with being handled, and it'll make it easier on you. You could start off in a big tank, but you have to make sure that the snake feels secure. Lots of hides, branches, etc. Plus you need to make sure there's enough heat for the whole cage. I would start off in a smaller tank if you can, but you don't have to. And one other tip about Carpet Pythons, unlike most snakes, which are usually fed prey the size of the fattest part of the snakes body, they actually can eat prey that are bigger than that, and prefer it.

If you know where the carpet came from, you can contact the retailer. If not, I would try looking in a closet to see if the carpet is the same. You could remove the carpet from the closet and use that for patches. Put a new piece of carpet in the closet. Another alternative. Since it is near the door, could you cut out a large section of carpet and replace it with tile or linoleum or similar flooring material to make an entry area? You might have a carpeter restretch the carpet and see if you can gain enough carpet to cover the area. This might work if the carpet is a few years old. Contact a carpenter to see what they think.

Q:Can anyone help me with this. It is cold out at the minute but not actually such a big deal as he is in the stable at night. My problem is that he also has Sweet-Itch and I'd like to get him to accept a rug before April or I will be in trouble!! I just got him a few months ago and he is great with everything else! (plastic bags, traffic, horse-box).The rug I bought is a turn out rug and I know Sweet-Itch rugs are a lot more lightweight but I dont really want to splash out on one just yet untill I make some progress!!

Maybe while grooming him, hold the rug in your arms and allow him to smell it. Everytime you groom him, allow him to see the rug. He'll become used to seeing it, so he'll think.. no biggie! Next part, after grooming, after allowing him to smell the rug, rub it gently around his body. Tell him he's being a good boy if he's standing still, even feed him treats so that he knows he's doing a good job. Eventually once he becomes familiar with the sound and the feeling of the rug, slowly rub it over his back and rest it there. Pat him and let him know he's doing a good job. And from there? Continue to do this until he's comfortable to wear the rug. It shouldn't take too long! Good luck :)
