Q: can i use a US wire harness on a JDM engine?? i need one for my h22 and its been really hard for me to find it. i found one for a desent price, but its a US made wire harness for a h22 t-tec
yes you may have to extend wires abit but it will work i am using my usdm wiring on a jdm b16 motor. Google swaps and they usually tell you what u have to do.
Q: i need an under dash wiring harness for a 1985 Chevy S10. What site can I find one? I don't know the part number, so Junkyard Dog won't work.

Q: i bought a new sony xplode cd player for my 1999 ford mustangi got the scosche wiring harness fdo21 and it just doesnt match up to the wiress in the dash even though it says ford and has the the right year on the box
that wiring harness you bought gets wired to the wiring harness from you new head units wiring and plugs into were you unplug ed your factory head unit from.they call it plug and play.do not cut the plugs off your wiring harness under the dash.all wiring done on a bench tape or cap all contacts even the unused ones so you have no shorts.then just plug each plug into its own plug in.there's only one way they will fit and remove the contact covers in the plugs before you plug them in.and follow the wiring diagram that came with it the colors match up if you have the right make and yr and model of the plug in that fits your car.the (color code gets matched to the new stereos wiring)has nothing to do with wiring under dash, this is why you bought the plug in in the first place so you did not have to deal with all the dash wiring,it should plug in just like your factory stereo did.
Q: I have a 1996 Mazda protege lx. The problem is that my stock car radio has two slots for connecting wireharness and when I disconnect them from my stock radio, I'm stuck with two wireharness. My aftermarket stero has only 1 wireharness slot. How am i supposed to install this aftermarket stero if it only has 1 slot for the wire harness but my car has 2 wireharness?
Go to Best Buy and see their car audio installation department. There you will find wire harness refit kits just for the problem you are experiencing. Good Luck
Q: Here is my situation: I have a a Pioneer DEH-1600 already installed in my 99 accord which my dad paid to have it installed at pepboys. I recently just purchased a Pioneer DEH-1300mp to replace my old one because I wanted an aux input. The problem is that I know little to nothing about wiring. I can take things apart and install things but I have never tried wiring. The stereo I purchased came with a wire harness as well and I was wondering if I have to completely rewire the harness or if I could just unhook the old stereo and plug the new one in. Especially since the two pioneer stereos are the same model line, I would think that they would use the same wire harness. But unfortunately I do not know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Compare the wire colors in the plugs since those are standardized. Generally if it is the one that has a fuse, usually 10 amp, below the connector on the back of the head unit they are all the same. My Sanyo, Sony Aiwa (Sony in drag) and JVC all use the same harness and connector pinout and as such swap out in a matter of seconds. I have an older Pioneer that has a different connector (it looks like computer ATX motherboard power connectors) and I found out the hard way that a Clarion with the same connector did NOT use the same pinout. Some of the speaker and power wires were swapped between the 2. Yours should be the same but check them to be sure.
Q: I have a 1993 Ford Probe 2.0 Manual. I need help figuring out what I can do to get in running again. The only thing that is stopping it from running is the engine wiring harness that was cut. We pulled the starter out and the wiring harness that is connected to it was cut Can they be rewired? If so where can I get that done? Where can I find a new one that isn't cut? Please help me, I need to find a fast and easy way to get this problem fixed. I've hunted for parts in salvage yards but can't find any that aren't cut from them pulling the engines out. Advice?
If people are cutting the harnesses to pull motors out of the yard cars then it must be fairly straight forward to re-wire the engine once it's in another car. A decent mechanic can probably fix whatever wiring problem you're having if you don't know how to fix it yourself. From past failures I can say that if you're not completely sure what you're doing regarding automotive electricals it's usually cheaper in the long run (even if it costs you more up front) just to let an expert handle it and get it done right the first time.
Q: I installed a Pioneer stereo where the GM Delco was and now Im not getting any gauge response on my panel, and rpm/speedometer not working.what could have went wrong in the wiring to the harness that goes to the new pioneer stereo? Thanks for any help!
go to wall mart and buy the right plug ins so you can use the plugs you removed your stock stereo from.go to the car audio area and give them the yr make and model of your ride and they will set you up with the right part.this hooks to your new head units wiring harness and plugs into your rides stock stereo plug ins you took your old head unit from.and it comes with a wiring diagram so you can't go wrong.they call it plug and play.DO NOT CUT ANY WIRING UNDER YOUR DASH THERE IS NO NEED. hope this helps you out.
Q: Hi,I want to install an aftermarket radio in my 1996 Honda Accord, but I realized that my accord does NOT have a vehicle factory wiring harness on the radio wires for some reason. I understand that when you buy an aftermarket stereo you are going to need a harness, but it has to connect to the factory harness already installed in the car. I got it really cheap so I'm expecting some problems like this. What should I do?
So since it does not have a factory wiring harness, the current OEM radio does not work, otherwise, there is a harness there.
Q: I have a 93' Ford Explorer 4x4 that I am going to install subwoofers and an amp in. I don't have a problem with those it's the wiring of the new CD deck that I need help with. I tried to install the new deck once before, by hard wiring it(I'm keeping the vehicle so I didn't really care if it came back out.) but we came across the power cord the truck has that hooks up to the stock casset player. it's a kinda thick looks like aluminum wire with rubber cover. We just put the stock back in till we figured what to do. What kind of wiring harness do I need to get to install the new CD Deck? and any tips in doing so? Thanks a lot D-
once you pair up the speaker wires its not that bad. 2 gray and 2 green. 2 purple and 2 white. theres your four speakers. the ones with a black stripe are ground and the solid colors are positive. next is power. red to red, always hot. yellow is ignition hot. and blue if your using a power antenna. if it doesnt pop up when you turn the radio on just tape this wire out of the way. now just hook the black wire to an electrical ground, this can be a wire or a metal surface on the car. plug in the antenna, you will need an adapter since its a gm. (2-3$) and your all set. IMPORTANT: ground and speakers THEN power. otherwise you riskletting the smoke out of the box as we say in the industry.
