Q: I cut the wiring harness out of an old car. After peeling the wrapping insulation off I connected the matching wires with but connectors. I then placed electrical tape around the splices and put heat shrink tubing over the tape. I bought 2 grounded plugs and connected the wires one at a time to make sure they went to the correct screws. Does anyone know what other year gs450s (80,81,83 etc) wiring harnesses fit the 82 gs450?: Why not do your own wiring. If you can build a cafe racer you should be able to do your own wiring. A manual for you bike should be available from your local library. It would show a wiring diagram the rest is common sense.

It has a square or rectangle plug with prongs an wires. The wires will be the same colorado as the wire in your decks harness. Except that end goes in the car. You'd wire the wires up together. Plug one plug into the car, plug the other one into your deck. Like I said wal mart should have them, look by the speakers and decks.

Q: hey i might have a 4.0l ranger engine to drop in to my 3.0l ranger. mines a 99 with a 5spd manuel. and what i want to know is, can i bolt up a 4.0l with the 3.0l wirring harness? and the new motor is from a 97 ranger. thanks guys: No. Even if the wiring harness was the same, which isn't too likely, your ECM is calibrated for the 3.0L.

Q: i am swapping a 1987 dashboard into my 1986 mustang. i am using the 86 wiring harness and have a 1987 donor harness. everything was going pretty good until i saw that the headlight switch was way different and the donor harness didn't have the headlights switch. i was wondering if there was a way to wire in the 87 headlights switch into the original 86 wiring harness? pictures would help. AND how to wire in the 1987 hazard lights into the 86 because the 86 hazard is a pull thing on the bottom of the steering column.: That was a bad idea to begin with. If you want a 1987 dash then you should have just bought a 1987 Mustang. Now, few people will ever want a car that has had the wiring hacked up and has interiors from different year cars. You will need wiring diagrams for both years in order to tell which wires go to what.
