Just go to autozone or oRileys or even walMart and just get a wiring harness for your model vehicle and it will plug right up to your stereo and you connect 12 wires and your good to go cost 10 to 25 bucks

Q:I recently bought a lt1 engine and auto trans for my v6 1994 camaro because the v6 motor and auto trans are junk. And I was just wondering would the stock v6 wire harnesses work for this motor.

no you have two more spark plugs and fuel injectors on the v8 than the v6 so right there your missing four wires also the v6 takes in less gas so even if you somehow wired in four more wires it still would not run at all you will need to change the wiring harness, computer, transmission and motor mounts to make it all fit correctly after that you would need a bigger radiator and go get or cut your drive line to fit once all that is done it will run ok but more than likely unless you had someone that does it for a living do the job which would mean you need alot of money it probably wouldn't run right I would just stick with a different v6 save you much head ache best of luck hope this helps

Q:I bought a (Sony Xplod CDXGT240) stereo at best buy and i need to know what type of wiring harness i need to connect it? Its a 2004 mustang with the Mach audio system, so it has a little factory amp that it comes with. Is there a specific model number for the harness or can someone provide a pic of the one that I need? You can pick up a wiring harness specific to your vehicle at Autozone for around 10 bucks. They also carry them at most Wal-Mart locations as well. All you have to do is ask the clerk at autozone, and he will set you up, it's a really straight forward process, and easy to locate, I would advise you not to buy this online, because of compatibility issues, if they send you the wrong one, you have to mail it back and wait by your mailbox for another 2 weeks for the new one, if you go get it in person, you can see it for yourself, it will tell you right on the package that it fits your vehicle, the same is true for the mounting kit which you can also get at Autozone for about 10-12 bucks. With any luck you could be hookng up your stereo in not time, the wiring harness comes with a guide to tell you exactly where to connect each wire to your radio, it will be color coded and labeled. If I am upgrading to a Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT GPS/DVD receiver, I know that I will need a different dash kit for the double DIN unit, but do I need a different wiring harness, or will the wiring harness from the AM/FM/CD player that I already have be sufficient for the new headunit? yes i think it is ok but there is only one way to find out that is to hook it up.the main thing is that it will fit your stock radio harness.if new you must read the instructions well and it will tell you if there is something else needed to wire it up.good luck.follow the wiring instructions to a tee,if your still stumped,stop at any audio installer and ask them,picking some audio dealers brain is free.

It is the bundle of wires that run everywhere in the car. In this case you are buying the mechanical parts, but not the electrical wires that connect them.

Q:hi i have a 1998 grand prix im gonna install wire harness i got from junkyard due to many broken and melted together wires anyway i have the other one but some wires are cut everything is color coated so its easy but there are to black wires idk what they go to or if it matters if i just connect them 1998 grand prix 3.8 non supercharged

Lay out the new/used harness next to/on top of the old one and do one connector at a time. I sure hope you didn't remove the other harness before you got the new one. Auto tech 101 get new parts first!!!

i think its a large i have the same radio in my lowlow and i had to use a large wiring harness.
