Q:i changed my SF4 stick with a sanwa jlf joystick. it worked fine and all of a sudden my joystick wasnt working so i put back the old stick and still didnt work. im guessing its the wiring that connects to joystick.how do i fix or change the wiring? can i use a jlf 5 pin wiring harness or is there a certan wire i need to buy for the street fighter 4 SE fightstick?

Yes, you can use the jlf 5 wire harness. If i remember correctly it is just a little tricky because only one side has the housing cartridge.

Q:I have an Evcon BGM10016B furnace that we just started having problems with. The unit will kick on when i move the main 15 pin wiring harness around in just the right position. Is there anyway I can tell if it is a faulty connector at the board or in the harness? I would hate to spend 200 on a board when it could just be fixed with a new $60 wiring harness. Thanks!

I'm not an HVAC tech but, if you're talking Molex connectors I'd bet on them being the problem before anything else. I spent 17 years maintaining wafer fab equipment and we finally got tired of the problems associated with those connectors and replaced them with Amp connectors. The ONLY reason companies use them is because they're CHEAP. They're tin, tapered pins and corrosion does them in. The taper fit also contributes to problems over time. Cleaning the pins, squeezing the female pin or expanding the male pin to improve the connection will help for awhile.

Q:I need a new wiring harness for my rx7 and idk if this one will work?

no, the computers in those 2 cars are different. the are 2 diff. generations of rx7s. in order to use a wireing harness for a diff generation car/motor the car must have the motor/ecu to match the wireing harness. hope this helps.

Q:I just got a 1983 cj7 and it needs ALOT of work, my biggest problem right now is the wiring. i am having issues with the wiring. whoever did it before had no pride whats so ever so i am thinking i need a whole new harness. i have been looking online and the complete harness goes for $500+. i was wondering if anyone here has found a good cheaper harness?

Q:I am split between trying to restore the set i have and putting in a new one. I bought the bike off a guy but didn't know they butchered the wiring. Went with no instrument cluster, no fuse box, no turn signals, horn, headlight, tail light, starter button. All these wires were cut off short and re-routed to somehow make it work ( I still don't see how it ever did) so which way is easier. I will have the clymers manual for it very soon, but thought Id ask here if its worth 30 bucks and what all comes in it. Is it ALL the wires for the entire bike? is it just a main few and which ones? Please help

Q:I have an 88 Camaro that the stereo was stolen out of before I bought the vehicle. I am thinking about putting a new stereo in it. I looked at the wires already in the dash, but it appears that the factory wiring harness was cutout when the stereo was stolen. Should i try to replace the wiring harness with something from the factory, or should I Just try to install the new stereo using barrel connectors and directly connect the stereo wires to the pre-existing wires?

You should run new`wires to yo new stereo.AND the car is 20 years old and why take the chance of blowing up the new radio-am-fm-cd --- a simple short is bad news new wires are to be two-color so you can get the plus and minus in line for your new speakers -- the car is not so big that wire are hard to run under the carpet or dash and you will have a care free sound system and no shorted wiring and front and rear speakers JUST forget the old factory wires as they are not the correct gauge to handle the new sound systems ----- anyway you will feel better knowing that you did the job right.

Just go to sterio shop and ask for dash kit, wire harnes and atenna adapter.give them your car make and year and they'll give it to you.shuld cost $35 total for all. Brands for it doesn't matter in my opinion, All dash kits are plastic and could somewhat break easy

Q:I have an electrical problem on my 1996 Dodge Dakota which is soon to be solved, and i already peeled tape off the wiring harness to find shorted wires. Can i use old bicycle inner tubes with zip ties instead of retaping the wiring harness?

Would not recommend this. The rubber in tubes is not oil, gas, or heat resistant. Wire loom is cheap and available at most auto stores.

Q:I just purchased a 2001 Blazer LS and the engine is burnt. Well from what I can tell not the engine just the main Wiring Harness ( the one to the left of the motor). It looks like the exhaust piece that sticks out was touching the wiring harness eventually leading to a fire. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if the Wiring harness from a 2003 will fit my 2001?

It may not work can't remember for sure but, I think the 01 is Drive By Cable (DBC) throttle body and the 03 is Drive By Wire (DBW). You can check by looking at the throttle body. If the throttle you have has a cable to operate it the 03 harness will not work. If the throttle body has an electrical plug then the harness will work. All plugs and connectors are the same except, the 01 has no plug for the throttle body and the 03 harness has one. Also there are connections for the throttle position sensor on the 01 harness. Anyhow, if you have the electric throttle then yes it will work.
