- There are typically about half a dozen wiring harnesses in any car, each constituting all the wiring for a particular section of the car engine compartment, under-dash, front lighting, etc. Prices vary widely. The only one I ever replaced was an engine harness in an older Volvo and I found one aftermarket for $300. I also priced an engine harness for a 1984 Nissan 300ZX (after an engine fire) and Nissan wanted $2000 for the harness. Replacing it would have been a lot of labor, too. Be sure to get a second opinion in any case. It will be a very expensive job and not only is it something you don't want to do because of a bad diagnosis, but if the harness has an identifiable fault it may be repaired. The dealer won't do repairs but other shops often will.

- The Cobra harness is from a newer Mustang. The different years or the different models have different connectors. At this point all you can do is cut and splice. You'll have to cut the harness end off your v6 lid and cut the end off the Cobra lid and splice them together so you can plug it into your trunk harness. Or you can do the right thing and just put the spoiler on the v6 lid and bypass the wrong trunk lid altogether. You'd need to drill in a few places to mount it.

- yes and no.yes u can use the wiring harness (presuming the previous owner bought one and hooked it up correctly) that hooks from the car to the actual head unit harness. ** no u cannot use the old head unit harness tho.so no it will NOT plug in.u will need to unplug the old head unit at the factory hook-up and then splice the wiring harness to the new head unit .the wires are color coded and labeled tho so should be fairly easy.

- Q: I purchased a 2002 Pontiac Grand am a few days ago. Not to my surprise the Factory radio in it did not work. So I took off the front panel to see what the problem was, and shockingly someone had cut the main harness off and took electrical tape and taped all of the wires in a big tangled mess. I found a color code diagram for the car but none of them seem to match the colors in my car. - Q: I have a sony cdx-gt32w and when selling my old car I forgot to take the plug for my cd player out. Does anyone have a wiring diagram so I can just use wire I have and connectors to connect to the prongs that are there? Or is there another way to do it without buying a $30 part for a $80 cd player?
