Q: my daughter got play doh all over my carpet....new play doh...how do i get it off the carpet
Kids love playing with Play Dough. The problem? It can be messy, and it always seems to end up on surfaces that are the hardest to clean...like the carpet. This simple 4 step process will help you remove ground in dough even if it seems that it's there to stay! Step 1 While it's still moist, remove as much of the play dough from the carpet as you can. Avoid stepping on it to prevent it from being ground in to the carpet fibers even more. Step 2 Is there dough that you were unable to get picked up because it's already too stuck to the carpet? Walk away! Leave the dough to dry for several hours (I find that over- night works best). You want the dough to be as dry as possible. Step 3 Using the edge of a spoon, firmly scrape the dough from the carpet. The spoon will not damage the carpet, and it will also loosen the dried dough that is stuck. Step 4 Vacuum the carpet thoroughly. Continue to scrape and vacuum until all of the dough is removed.
Q: Apparently I put too much woolite on our carpet, and it won't come out. Ive tried wet rags but it just keeps foaming. Is there an easy way to get this soap out?
use a steam cleaner
Q: what kind of carpet match with furniture ?
Plastic carpet and straw braid carpet. you can also consider the staw brain carpet unless the dry area is particularly evident. the best choice is anti-skid and water permeable plastic carpet or rubber carpet containing anti-skid micelle, as long as the existing indoor color. Take into account all the details in addition to the overall decorative style, if you feel full paved carpet is too luxurious. Can also choose the traditional fret and natural color. what kind of carpet is suitable for home? such as corn and other woven carpet , but also can choose the rare color and neutral color. The master bedroom is a place of rest, you can choose some neutral elegant colors, like dark wood color.
Q: I am moving to an apt with all concrete floors and need to put some type of rug in living area. Only problem is that I don't want my dog to have an accident on the rug. Any suggestions on where to get a type of rug that is washable at home, or maybe an alternative?
My boyfriend is worse than a dog. He carries in grease, mud, dirt you name it. I have the same problem. I go to Walmart and buy their really really cheap rugs. They are washable and actually look nice. The best part about them are that they are so cheap. If it gets ruined you can just go pick up another one. However, I'm not too sure how big they come.
Q: i have already tried a couple carpet cleaners and they have seemed to make the stain worse. please help!
Try rubbing alcohol - or if you don't have any in the house use hairspray. Put it on a cloth or cotton ball and blot.
Q: How are the carpets laid?
Carpet laying: divided into two types of fixed and fixed, according to the area covered with shop and partial shop.
Q: What color carpet is good?
In the living room color, as with people wearing, the same is the color, but three principles. Carpet collocation, we also pay attention to hue, color, tone, color, brightness, color matching principle.
Q: Isn't it better to place a CPU on a desk or at least elevate it so that it doesn't touch a carpet or floor? (Even if the carpet is not shag?) I am trying to prove this to my boss but he insists that the computers remain on the rug. Keep in the mind that the computers have 3 intake fans, and a few outtake fans. They are placed in a church/office setting where kids could incidentally kick the computer or something. I also know that when computers are closer to the floor, they take in more dust. Am I not correct, or at least partially correct?
show your boss the air filter on the link below, and tell him that it would be a good move to fit something like that, to keep the dust from entering the PC casing and reducing overall reliability - top benefit - it only takes seconds with a hoover hose to clean the filter, without even powering off the PC. Without it, you will need to take down and hoover internally about once a year as an absolute minimum.
Q: As you can see from the lower half of the picture its slightly yellow. There are afew yellows spots(3-4 1'x1') through out the rug. How would I go about cleaning/reversing the effects?THANKS!
That depends on what the stains are from. If they are from food, some oxygen type cleaners can lighten them, If they are from bleeding of the dyes in the rug colors (which can happen with some inexpensive wool oriental type carpets), there is not much you can do. If it is pet stains, a good professional cleaning company can often remove them. I have owned a lot of oriental carpets and I highly recommend finding a professional cleaner who specializes in cleaning them. It usually costs about $100 to have an 8 x 11 carpet cleaned, but they can make them look (and smell) like new. I don t think you should try to clean the rug with any water based cleaners or shampooing. Some one I know had a rug very much like yours and when they tried to damp shampoo it all of the red color bled into the white areas and ruined it.
Q: So I'm gonna be renting out a place but there is ugly orange stained carpet. What can I do to make it look better? The owner won't let me change the carpet either. :(
try putting rugs on them. It might make it look better. Get the rug color you want and try putting them around your apartment. And try not to put things that look interesting on the floor. Cause people will see it and they'll see your carpets.
