- Q:Isn't it better to place a CPU on a desk or at least elevate it so that it doesn't touch a carpet or floor? (Even if the carpet is not shag?) I am trying to prove this to my boss but he insists that the computers remain on the rug. Keep in the mind that the computers have 3 intake fans, and a few outtake fans. They are placed in a church/office setting where kids could incidentally kick the computer or something. I also know that when computers are closer to the floor, they take in more dust. Am I not correct, or at least partially correct?

- Q:Some wax fell on the carpet(quite dense) and i tried the old trick ironing down a piece of paper on top of it to lift the wax off. It has worked for me before. But now, part of the paper has stuck to the carpet. I tried ripping it off real quick but now there's just a huge patch of paper stuck right into the carpet. How can i get it off/out ? Help ?

- A 2X3 rug is only 24 X 36... too small for a living room. Your living room would probably be better suited to a 5X8 (60 X 96) or similar. When choosing a rug, ask the salesperson about wash-ability as some fibres are more prone to staining even when spills are promptly cleaned with rug cleaner. Solid colours also tend to show dirt quicker, so look for a rug with flecks of red in two slightly different shades or even a bit of a texture so that certain unavoidable dirt (lint, pet hair, etc) might be concealed a bit. - Q:Ok last night my kitty had a bit of an upset stomach and umm... went to the toilet all over my white rug!!! It is machine washable so I washed it twice with tons of detergent, the smell is gone, but the brown stains are still there! Any ideas??
- Put the rug in the wash machine with enough hot water to cover it...add two scoops of Oxy Clean..let the machine agitate for a bit to mix it all up and then turn the wash machine off..close the lid and let it sit over night or longer. Then add detergent and continue the wash cycle. It should take the stain out..it works on vintage linens with set in stains and brings them back to white again. Although...even though the smell is gone, hopefully the scent is gone for her, so to be sure...after you remove the stain..soak it again but with white vinegar, this is the only natural substance that will remove pet odors...then...rinse and rewash with detergent again. Yeah it's a process..but if this is a prized rug, it would be worth it. If it's just a basic rug you can easily replace, then toss the rug and buy another one.
