Q:What is the easiest way to remove a water pump?
drain radiator. remove both 21mm motor mount bolts from subframe (front and rear). drain radiator. remove overflow/washer bottle. remove drive belt. remove 8mm bolt that hold lower watertube to front cover. remove lower water tube from water pump. remove heater hoses from water pump. slightly lift engine with floor jack. remove water pump pully. remove water pump. if you still cant get it you will need to remove the 4 studs that go through the water pump. now its just that easy to do
Q:I moved into a house on a rural property in January, and we live off tank water and have a Grunfos PT18 pumping all our water into the house. The problem is, not all the time, but alot of the time my pump stays on after having a shower, the motor keeps running and restarting continuously as if it is desperately trying to pump more water through, until I go underneath my house and literally turn it off at the powerpoint, wait for a bit then turn it back on. I am scared if I leave the motor keep going like that it will burn my pump out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this problem, or why it may be doing this, or is something causing it?Thankyou in advance, from someone who has next to no knowledge about pumps!!
Sounds like it's waterlogged. That's what it's called when the water and the air in the resevoir tank mix, and the volume of air gets so small as to not be able to provide any decent compression with which to push water through the system. At that point, any time you open a fixture, the pressure drops enough to turn on the pump, and when you turn off the pump, if it's just right, it will turn off and then back on, then off, then on, back and forth till you shut it off and it can set and stabilize, till you need water again. The solution is to reintroduce a sizeable amount of air back into the top of the tank. If it's an older tank, without a bladder, (identified by the small bulge around the center of the tank and either a blue or rust color), then the best way is to simply drain the tank and restart the system. That way it will trap all the air in the top of the tank and you'll have enough pressurized air to push a gallon or two of water out, before the pump needs to kick on again. If it's the bladder type, with the bulge, then the bladder has blown and you're, in effect, working with a standard resevoir tank now, except that it will have an air valve in the top like a bicycle tire, so you can pressurize it with an air tank. If so, open some fixtures, start pressurizing the top of the tank and blow all the water out of the system. Once it's dry, put about 20 lbs. of pressure in the tank and start up the pump. You should be good to go.
Q:I just replaced my water pump.fixed.. A week later I've been noticing he might of over filled it because.were the coolant goes.steam comes.out.the little.while plus water.. And.before.I.started my.car I noticed.it was all empty now and my.engine sounds like a mini diesel when it runs.. What's the deal? And I.already filled it up with coolant again
Anytime you replace your water pump. You should replace the thermostat and gasket. Also check the upper and lower radiator hoses to see if either one of them are collapsed. It wouldn't hurt to replace the radiator cap.
Q:So when you exercise, is the amount of salts and water pumped out in the loop of henle reduced, if so why????
Salt impacts the osmotic interest of a cellular. this implies that once it somewhat is modern-day in severe concentrations interior the cellular, water strikes into the cellular with the aid of osmosis. This extra water getting into the cellular could reason the cellular to rupture. interior the kidneys an identical mechanism applies. whilst the concentration of NaCl is severe interior the tubules extra water is retained interior the physique. besides the incontrovertible fact that, whilst the concentration of NaCl is low interior the Kidney tubules much less water is retained by utilising the physique.
Q:How do I know the pump pressure?
The "H=100M" in the parameter is the pressure index of the pump. "H" is the height of the head and the height of 100m. Since the 10M lift is approximately equal to 1Kg/cm2 pressure. Your pump is 10Kg/cm2 pressure.Q=18 M3/H, that is, 18 cubic meters of traffic per hour;H=100M, that is, rated head 100M, high head;P=4.0 KW, that is, the motor power is 4 kw.
Q:leaking coolant after the car engine has stoppped
Some water pumps have weeping holes, if water is coming out of those then it is definitely your problem.
Q:I am looking for foot peddals and one of those pumps that you can use to pump excess water out of the cockpit..... any Ideas where to look for the cheapest of both...I checked Dunhams and *****.
you might check mountain sports in arlington, texas they are good t
Q:I have a 2002 Honda Civic Ex sedan with about 105k miles. Sometime before 110k I need to get the timing belt replaced. At about 95k my mechanic asked if I wanted to replace the timing belt and the water pump. According to the owners manual the timing belt must be replaced, but it simply says check the water pump.I don't want to pay for unnecessary repairs, but I also know that both of these jobs are quite involved, but can be done together fairly easily. Is there anything I can do to check myself or do I just have to trust my mechanic when I take it in. Also, what is the cost difference between the timing belt job and adding in the water pump at the same time?
If you're going to have the timing belt changed you might as well change the water pump at the same time - it would take about the same amount of effort and cash in the future to just replace the water pump alone if it goes bad. On a Honda with over 100k miles, it's just a matter of time before the water pump goes - so I'd say that it's a good idea to change it now, even if it's not showing any signs of failure. You'd just end up paying for the work twice if you don't do it now - assuming that you're planning on keeping the car for a while. I'm not sure how much a water pump would cost for your car, but you could look it up on the web - additional labor costs to install it during the timing belt change would be minimal.
Q:How much would it be in labor and parts to change a water pump and on a 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9 4 wd with 109k.miles? Should I change the timing chain? If you can please give me a estimated Thank You!I getting tired of old Vechiles LOL

Q:I'm trying to sell my 97 Ford Escort. It needs a water pump but I have no idea what the cost is. I just want to know so I can post an estimate of how much it costs on the site I'm selling it on.
ok i looked it up if you have the base LX or sport escort with a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine the water pump is 62.99 at advance auto parts. a water pump gasket is 1.09 and it says its a good idea to replace your timing belt which is only 25.99 all prices are based off of advance auto parts, other stores will vary. and buya haynes or chilton repair manual so you know what your doing. good luck
