Q: I need to replace the wheels and bearings on my skateboard. How do i go about placing the bearings inside the wheels?: I wouldn't recommend pounding on them at all. Take the old bearings out with a screwdriver, put it in one side and pry out the bearing. It should come out pretty easily. There might be spacers between the wheels if you have big wheels. To put the new ones in. push them in as far as you can with your hands, then put them on your trucks and tighten the nut down until they're in the wheel. You might want to loosen the nut a little after you get them in. If the bearings aren't in the wheel and you can't get the nut on, do one side at a time, put the bearning only on the trucks and push the wheel over it.
