2. Specifications of Passenger Car Tire

Pattern Charcteristics:

1. Streamline directional pattern

Excellent water evacuation to break the water film and improve wet performance. Good high speed stability and good braking performance

2.Central rib Silient wall and pitch arrangement

Central reduces the friction between the rubber moleculars to decrease energy and hence reduce rolling resistance.

3.Special shoulder block grooves

The specail design with sipes at the shoulder block effectively reduces the shoulder heat generation and resonance during tire rolling.

4.wide longitude grooves

4 wide longitudinal grooves to enhance water evactuation on wet roads, prevent side slips and improve traction bu well-designed angle.

5.Anti-unenen-wear shoulder strip

2 anti-uneven-wear strips at the shoulder in order to stabilize tire profile and ensure sufficient shoulder support and stability at high speed cornering.

3. Pictures of SHANDONG FENGYUAN TIRE

welcome to visit our company!

Q: Me again. Which bike tyre size is wider?a 700x38C tyre or a 26x1.75 inch tyre?
You are aware that you are comparing tires for two different wheel diameters, right? A 700-something won't fit on a 26something.
Q: I had snow tires put on my car in November. I now want to switch them out for my summers. When the shop took my summer wheels/tires off they did not label which tire was where. The tires only had 4k miles on them when removed. Will it matter where I mount the summers? If so, is there a way to determine which tire was where so that I can properly rotate them?
If the tires are directional, meaning they have a single correct sense of rotation by design, it is always marked on the tire sidewall, usually indicating ROTATION and an arrow. If there isn't such a marking, they are non-directional. Even in non-directional tread designs it is better, though, that the tires be used as before (for the same reason, the tire rotation should be made on the same side of the vehicle). You might try to infer the sense of rotation (and therefore the side) from the tread pattern: if it has longitudinal Y-like elements such as in a tractor tires, the upper (open) part of the Y on the road (mud, snow) should be oriented forward. hth
Q: How wide of a tire can I mount without problems on the standard 16X6.5 aluminum OEM 5 spoke wheel on my 99 Pontiac Gran Prix GT? The standard size is 225/60. Would like to go a bit wider but dont want rubbing problems on the daily driver!! Thanks
you can actually go as wide as you want, but if you go wider thatn 8 you have to install a spacer but your wheels are going to stick out a lil bit, but to be safe just go with 16X7 or with a grand prix, you can put a 18x7, i work for an import shop before and we installed a 18 rim on a grand prix, and put 205/40-17, but with this you will feel all the stuff on the road becuase the tires are thin, but you feel the grip on the road.
Q: car tyres
Wider tyres lay down more rubber than thinner ones which improves the grip. This vastly improves braking, cornering and acceleration. This is why if you look at the width of the tyres on a porsche they are almost twice the width of a normal car. Having wider tyres will allow you to use more throttle without spinning the wheels. Choose your tyre size carefully though, adding 17" rims to a citroen saxo will have a negative affect on the cars cornering abilities. Unfortunately some people do not think about this.
Q: After getting off the highway I was checking my tires and noticed that one of them in the back was very hot on the inside edge. The other three felt worm. There is some ware and it came off the frount, I just had them rotated. Just half the edge is worn as you feel around and then less then half feels like a new tire. Only that worn part is very hot and the rest of the tire is worm. I drive a 2007 dodge wagon and found sites with tire issues but I am not clear if this is a tire failing. I can‘t seem to get any help. Car has 20000 miles these tires and Im told they are shot.
If the tire was on the front and the tire wore the tread of on one side then the car has serious alignment problems. Tires wear unevenly because they are being dragged by a front end which is misaligned or has bad components. The front end problems need to be resolved or you'll do the exact damage to a new set of tires.
Q: Will these tires work for my Mitsubishi?
They will physically fit, but your current tyres have a Z speed rating You need to check if your car needs that, and I suspect it does. The tyre fitter should know the answer and it will also be in the owners handbook.
Q: For instance the tires on my car reads245/R45What does that mean?
245/R45; The size of the Tire in Millimeters and 'R' means in Radial Belt. It's a sport tire. It's very expensive. There's another thing missing. Size of tire to the wheel rim. The wheel rim size. eg. Size 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 for cars only. (so far there's no size 11) e.g. Your tire should read 245/R45/15. (Redial Belt) Meaning; Your tire is 245 millimeters x Radial Belt 45 millimeters wheel rim size 15. (e.g. high, broad, thin in height, etc). Your Tire is very broad and very thin in height. You're using sporty tire to the wheel rim and looks very sporty.
Q: I spent the money to get 4 additional rims, and 4 snow tires. Now, instead of paying the dealer to swap/balance my tires each time the season changes, I just swap the tires myself. But this is the first time I am swapping in my snow tires. They were balanced when I bought them and the rims, but now that I have them on, they seem unbalanced. Question is this - was I supposed to mark where each tire came from on my car, and then make sure I mount them on the same location (ie, right-rear, left-front)? In other words, is a tire's balance based on WHERE it is mounted on the car?
Some tire shops do balance tires on the car. Most do not. With early radial tires, it was mandatory to remount the tires on the side they came off of. Not so much any more. I keep my tires on the same side when rotating or changing tires out. When you were moving them around, you may have knocked a weight off. Or depending on how they were stored, they may have developed a flat spot. The flat spot should work itself out as the tires flex from use. If the tires are out of balance, they will need to be rebalanced to correct the problem.
Q: How aviation tires differ from automotive tires in general?
Airliner tires are not radials, they are bias ply tires - Tubeless tires are used for airliners - Inflated with nitrogen - main tires of a 747 are set at 150 psi pressure - They could handle up to 225 mph takeoff/landing speeds - The 747 type that I used to fly last had 34 ply-rating tires - Average 747 lands about 120-150 times before main tires are to be replaced - Tires are generally re-threaded, up to 6 to 10 times - They are "better" than "new tires", which were never used previously - In case tires get too hot, melting plugs are used in rims to deflate the tires - This is to prevent them from exploding - There are brake temperature gauges in the 747 in case wheels overheat - In that case, we leave the gear down 1 or 2 minutes after takeoff (cooling) - .
Q: What size tires go on a 97 ford contour GL the tires on my car now say 205/75R14 but web sites I been on say my car takes 185/70R14 is there a difference?
