- Q:The wheel stud of rear tire of my Pontiac Sunfire 1995 broke. The wheel has 5 wheel stud and the tire is being hold with the other 4 wheel stud.I was wondering if it is ok to drive the car with 4 wheel stud?If I should change it, what else can I change since that part is being opened?Please feel free to provide feed back and suggestions in this regards.Thanks,Amr
- It can be driven with 4 wheel studs but I would suggested very short distances. The stud Replacement shouldn't be that bad and it is a press fit so you may be able to do some of the work yourself if you know someone with a press. If you don't, the cost shouldn't be that bad. I do like your thinking about what to look at while having your wheel apart. The only major things you might consider is brakes or wheel bearings. breaks have to be done a s a set, and while wheel bearings don't, I high recommend they be done as a set.
- Q:ok. just put the new wheels in the freezer and was wondering how long do i leave them in there to see results.
- ur not going to see any results its just a myth. freezing wheels will only last longer if u keep them frozen, the second u take them out theyll start to warm up and be exactly the same. the change of tempature is only a temporay phyisical change which does not give or change any properties of the wheel.
- Q:If i were to buy rims and wheels for a 1995 lexus sc400 (RWD) and wanted to switch the rims and wheels onto a FWD car, could i? the wheels are offset (rear ones are wider), so could i just switch the rear wheels with the front wheels when i put thm on the fwd car? BTW, i already know the wheels and rims fit both cars, just wondering about the opposite (front-back) wheel sizes. Thanks
- If you put wider wheel, thus wider tires on the rear wheels of a FWD, you are going to get more understeer than usual. If you look at people who race FWD in road courses, they put wider wheels and tires in front to reduce understeer. Understeer is not fun. The front of car will slide whenever you throw your car into a corner. And you need to reduce speed or adjust you steering to correct this. This is something that most race car drivers want to eliminate, but car manufacturer set up a little understeer for saftety reason to warn drivers that the car is at its cornering limit. So larger wheels and tires in rear of a FWD is not a very good idea.

- There are two basic kinds of water wheel. The first kind is a paddle wheel that has it's bottom edge dipped into flowing water that doesn't really change level. The second kind is a bucket wheel. On this the water comes out of a spout at the top of the wheel. The change in elevation means more energy is transferred per amount of water. Power plants use a type of turbine, essentially a fan in a tube of water.

- Bitte. One wheel wobbles because the frame is slightly bent. The weight of the cart or stroller is not equally distributed among the 4 wheels. The only sure way to avoid this is to find a 3-wheeled stroller. Three wheels are always coplanar.

- Sure, wheel spacers are safe, if you take the wheels off once a week and re-tighten them. If you don't re-tighten them once a week you will die! They also wear out wheel bearings/hubs 5 times faster then with out them. So now that you purchased some after market POS wheels that will probably never balance out you want to F-up the wheel bearings. What's next? Ruining the ride with lowering kits that will only chew up tires and make the car ride like a tank?

- Some hamsters just don't like the wheel. If this is the case, there's really nothing you can do to change that. Instead, get an exercise ball and allow him to use that for 30 minutes a day. Otherwise, check to make sure the wheel is large enough. Syrians need pretty large wheels in order to use them comfortably. If they have to arch their backs in order to run on their wheel, it can be very uncomfortable for them to run. For a Syrian, you need a wheel with at least an 8 inch diameter; and they like larger wheels even better.
