3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet
Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.
- Q: Is it the landlords responsibility to replace all carpeting before a new tenant moves in?
- No. It just needs to be cleaned.
- Q: Installer told me floors need conditioning and rugs may leave marks due to the sun.
- I have them on mine and haven't had any problems yet, there on there for about 2 years now. I installed the floor about 6 months before my wife purchased the rugs
- Q: should horses (in summer) always or most of the time wear a kool coat/sheet?if so why is this essential?
- I have a 15.2 hh Fat horse, as round as a pumpkin! He is generally a 60 rug but can fit into a 59! He is also a cob! If you are going to have a couple of rugs, id have the bottom one or 2 as a 59 and the top ones as 60. Also i rekon he would be a cob. But i dont think there is much difference in a 5'9and a 6'0, so if you thought he may fill out or get rounder once you get him than you may be better just going with 6'0!
- Q: Our cat who is not declawed, will pick at anything. What carpet would be best in the den?
- I think you mean Berber carpet. Why don't you simply go to a carpeting warehouse place and see if they have remnants and get them to bind the edges and then lay it down on the good carpet as a large area rug? I did that one place I lived and it worked out quite well. I also went to a place like Bed Bath and Beyond and looked for large area rugs that they have for kids going into dorm rooms and bought two rugs and laid them over my carpet. They were good for several years and when they got bad I rolled them up and threw them away and unrolled some new ones. I think they ran about $30 per rug.
- Q: How do you clean the carpet with worms?
- Clean up in time. Carpets need to be vacuumed every day. Don't wait for a while. The carpet has a lot of dirt. Then you can clean it, and you can always make sure that the carpet doesn't stain with stubborn stains.
- Q: I got nail polish all over my bedroom carpet and I need to get it out!!
- As a professional carpet cleaner, yes many companies should be able to remove nail polish out of your carpet. If you are looking to hire a company to do it, make sure they are well qualified and can remove the nail polish without cutting the carpet fibers. If you are looking to remove the nail polish yourself you can use a clean nail polish remover that is acetone based and that should do the trick. You can visit my blog to learn the steps to removing substance stains. Good luck!
- Q: Only rug like this I own, a hand off from a relative in a pattern I love, but it needed cleaning, so I bought a can of Resolve and followed the directions TO THE LETTER, practically sprained my back on it, and when it was dry and vacuumed within an inch of its life, it looked EXACTLY the way it did before I started. Complained to the company and they sent me coupons to buy more of the stuff I said didn't work -- why do they do that? Anyway, I have to pay to have my wool rugs professionally cleaned, but not this stuff, can anyone recommend the best way I can clean this, thank you in advance.
- The okorder / ... You could also rent a carpet cleaner if you don't want to purchase one. Once you have a carpet cleaner in hand I would recommend starting with plain hot tap water and rinsing the carpet first. The spray on cleaner has left plenty of residue that needs to be removed before you try to add more cleaning solutions or stain removers. Other than that, follow the manufacturer's instructions on how to use the machine. If you don't want to make that investment, if you can roll the carpet up and take it outside, you can wash and scrub it in the driveway with a garden hose and carpet cleaning solution. Once you're done, you'll need to hang the carpet out of the sun to dry for a few days.
- Q: I was just wondering if CLR can remove carpet stains. If so, how would you use it? what are the steps?
- For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/axQ9m If you have a hardware store, call them and ask if they have Lift Off by Motsenbocker. They have several different products for various stains. I think #3 should work fine for you. Don't use CLR, that's for rust, lime...it would probably melt your carpet. You have a combination of paint and oil. The oil comes out with dish soap and a lot of blotting, the mineral paint is the tricky part. If you find the stain just won't come out, cut a patch from an unseen area, closet, under furniture and switch them around. Use double sided carpet tape to glue down the patches. Seams are taped together, why not a patch?
- Q: Where can I buy colourful horse rugs, I have noticed lots of the pony rugs are colourful and bigger sizes aren't. I have looked on derbyhouse, equestrianclearance, robinsons, ride away, horze. I want 6'3 stable rugs that aren't black, navy or red. Anywhere?

- Q: It's pretty funny because we are both artist but can't seem to agree on a rug. My living room is bubble gum pink, yes and extremely wild color. My sofa is a sage or dull fern green. My coffee table is dark walnut. What color rug would you place in this room? My FI was looking at a sage color rug with modern flowers on it my only problem is that it doesn't have any pink in it. We are aguring if the rug need pink in it to match. I found a dark sage rug with light pink accents but I am afraid it's tooo dark. What do you think I should aim for- a darker green then sofa or a lighter green?Any adivce would greatly help. And NO I will not change the color of my walls, I love my Barbie on Crack PINK color!!
- I have seen many rugs with modern patterns on them that include all the colors you want. Go on line and check out Home Decoraters. They have many rugs that will fit your needs. I don't have a catalog here to give you the exact address as I gave my last one away. The people I gave it to, like you, were having trouble finding the exact rug they wanted but did in that catalog. Try looking there.
