3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet
Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

- The best way to keep carpet in great shape is to make sure you have a good vacuum cleaner and pay extra attention to high traffic areas, vacuum extra on those areas. Your vacuum cleaner should have a 12 house power or higher. As far as Resovle goes only use as needed.

- Most apartment complexes will only install new carpet every 5 to 7years. I've never heard of any apartments changing them in less than 5 years, unless the carpet was somehow damaged, or stained beyond the ability to clean them. As to the cost of $1700...we don't know how big your apartment was, or what quality of carpet is being installed. You could call around and get estimates from a few carpet sources, to compare prices. - That is not a standard rug size and I doubt you will find one … good luck looking! ;) OR ~ You can go to a carpet store and ask to look at remnants – when you find something you like they can trim it to the size you need and bind it for you – so the edges are nest. It will cost about $2 a liner foot to bind and remnants are inexpensive… so the “custom” rug will cost you maybe $100 – $200 tops - possibly more if you chose high end carpeting…

- First off - Rugs/Carpet usually do not Wear out. Matting or crushing is what the consumer perceives to be wear, but it is usually a result of soil build up without proper maintenance. Your rug/carpet must be professionally steam cleaned once a year and the vacuum you use must be checked to see that the bead-er bar is functioning properly to beat at the fibers. Second - price will play a huge part in the size and type. Since this is for an elementary school and they probably do not have rug/carpet in budget, my guess is that you will be paying for it? Suggestion - go to a local carpet store and pick out the least expensive to your taste, have the store order to your size and then have it bound around the edges. You can pickup double side tape and use this to hold carpet flat. This may be your least expensive way. Good Luck.

- Very few rugs are made with a non-skid backing. But a pad to put under the rug is very common, and should solve your problem. Any place you buy a new rug should also be able to sell you a pad to go under it. Just make sure it's a rubbery pad and not just the foam cushion that goes under wall-to-wall carpet.

- wash them with baking soda and hot water. Spray them with zero odor. If that doesn't work throw them out all together.

- I read where you should take a grocery bag and then iron it over the spot. The bag is suppose to soak up the wax and pull it off the carpet. Good luck... what a mess!!!

- Rent a Rug Doctor from your local Walmart or grocery store. You don't have to buy the cleaning solution, laundry soap and a *little* bit of bleach will get your carpet clean again.
