- Q: i left my flat iron on the carpet and the carpet has two small red lines from the plates. how can i i rid of the i put oxiclean on i dont think its working though.

- Q: Funny but its stained red! How can i get it out of the carpet.
- Fill a quart jar with a cup of ammonia, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup vinegar and the rest can either use more ammonia or fill with water. I use more ammonia on tough stains and maybe because of the red color more would be better. Dampen some cleaning rags with the mixture and rub into or spray into the areas to be cleaned. When you've got it all then rinse with plain water or a little vinegar. You can also use a soft bristle brush to work it out and then rinse. maybe some of it is still there and it might have to be done twice to completely remove it all. Good Luck. Take an old towel to dry it somewhat and just put the towel on the floor and walk on it zig zaggy.
- Q: Does anyone know if disposable kitchen rugs are made and sold anywhere? I would like to have a bunch of fairly good quality rugs in the closet and change then out whenever needed. Just pick u[p the dirty one and throw it away. Any ideas?

Actually I can not give you surety of disposable rug but can tell you some discount giving shop name which must give you discount for every rugs or other goods you buy. - Depends what those fluffs are....... uld be natural fluff on the wool, could be broken fibers..............and that's not good. If broken fibers, could be moth damage or other insects living in the wool. Vacuum daily. Have the rug cleaned especially it has had food, animal products, or a lot of foot traffic across it.
- Q: I just purchased an 8x11 handmade wool rug online. I am not sure if I need a rug pad under it to keep it from slipping or whatever. I've seen a few rubber ones that cost around $80 and some thicker plush ones going for over $100. Is it really worth it?
- I would not bother buying a pad specifically designed for an area rug. Instead get some rubber kichen drawer liners, or a roll of tool box non slip liner. It will work just fine. Hint, tape the liners to the bottom of your rug.

- Q: I am looking to shampoo my carpet but don't want to splash out on an expensive cleaner. Is there like a spray or can of powder or something I can buy and use myself at home to clean my carpet?
- Lots of possibilities 1) In the supermarket you will find a carpet cleaner amongst all the other soaps and floor cleaners - it tends to be used for spot cleaning, spray it on leave it for the stated length of time and then vacuum it off. 2) If you want to clean the whole carpet in a room you might find a friend who has a Kirby and cant wait to lend it to you to clean your carpet. It does quite a good job and removes most of the stains but you need a three year degree course in mechanical engineering to understand the instruction manual and when you have mastered that you can only do about 6 square inches at a time before the fluid runs out and you have to disassemble everything, make up a fresh mixture ready for the next 6 square inches. Make sure you return the Kirby after borrowing it because a) it will take over your life if you keep it and (b) the owners probably had to take out a second mortgage to buy it so they will be eager for you to return it 3) Some supermarkets will rent out a large carpet cleanng mchine or 4) you could get in a professional - look in Yellow Pages for carpet cleaning - they will do a proper job fairly quickly. - Q: We are currently in a rental and our dogs chewed up some of our carpet. The carpet is berber and we have left over carpet in storage from when it was installed. One chewed up piece is in a corner and the other is a long rectangle area maybe 2 feet long by 7 or 8 inches wide. That area that is chewed up is in the middle of the carpet. Is there any way to just cut out the peices and replace them with the extra carpet we have or is that not doable with berber carpet? If we can do it can you tell me how or who to contact. - I have repaired a place like that. I laid out a piece just bigger than the bad spot, cut through both layers, that left the new cut an exact match of where the old was cut out. then I used the hot glue gun and glued it in very carefully. It looks good but if you look close you can see the seam. Hope this is helpful.
