- The ones I have found (online) have a rubber backing so they stay on the floor and don't move around much, so you don't have to connect them. But if you want to, they make really strong tape called carpet tape that you put on the underside of the squares. The good thing about not connecting them is that way you can pick one up and actually just rinse it in the sink if you spill on it. I stopped looking when I found out they would be too expensive for what I wanted (a large area), but you can get them from major places like Home Depot or Lowe's.

- Q: I have a espresso colored round table (i think its about 4' or 5' diameter) and it also incleds a leaf to extend the table into an oval shape. - The store I work at sells carpet and I work in the flooring department. 800sq.ft. = approximately 89 sq.yds. carpet on special pricing costs about $20/sq.yd. $20 x 89 = $1790 pad runs $5.31/sq.yd. x 89 = $473 basic labor = $199 there is a $4.99 per step charge average is 12 steps 12steps x $4.99 = $60 total for the room is about $2522. That is for them to come in and install the carpet. that does not include removal of carpet or furniture moving. The pad at $5.31 is 8lb. with vapor barrier. Prices are subject to change in other areas of the country.
