Q: What is the difference between the basin and the basin basin faucet
The only difference between the basin and the basin basin faucet is the height, mainly with the corresponding basin.
Q: This is the type of stopper you push down/pull up to drain or keep water in the sink. I,ve pulled, pushed & twisted, it wont come loose to drain. its stuck in the drain, wont drain.
More force fixes everything.
Q: how do you clean an acrylic bathroom sink basin?
Easy. Squirt a little body wash or dishwashing detergent, even shampoo on the sides. Partly fill the basin with warm/hot water and wash all over. Using an old toothbrush scrub around the taps. rinse off with hot water, wipe over and let dry. No scratching compounds or bleach needed.
Q: My bathroom has an old sink that needs to be replaced. At the same time, the faucet and related items would be replaced. If I hired a handy man what would be the estimated cost to me for removing the old and putting in a new sink with all the related items including labor and parts? What would be the estimated cost if a plumber did the job?The new sink would not be anything fancy, just a standarized sink that would be used in a condominium. Thanks
Depending On How Much Remodel You Are Planning On Doing, Entire Bathroom All Fixtures Replaced (Sink, Toilet, Tub, Shower, Accessories, Flooring, Etc.) Done By Yourself & Handyman, $2,000-$3,000 & $4,000-$5,500 If Done By A Contractor. (Keep In Mind If You Use A Licensed Contractor Your Project Will Be Covered A Warranty, Otherwise You Assume Full Responsibility) If You Are Merely Replacing A Sink, Faucet, & Vanity, Including Some Minor Plumbing Work, Yourself & Handyman, $450-$650 & $650-$1,000 If Done By A Contractor. Again The Cost Of The Fixtures & Accessories You Choose Can Effect The Cost Majorly. Gods Speed.......................Best Of Luck !
Q: I need to remove and replace the tail piece for my bathroom sink. I can't seem to actually remove the old one. It is plastic. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
the top part of the drain. the part you see in the sink spins out of the tail piece..if you still can't get it apart and you have the new one take a hack saw and just cut it behind the nut under the sink
Q: I have hot water everywhere else in the house the master bathroom has two sink and both of them have cold water but when I turn to the hot water nothing happens in either..the bathroom is upstairs over the hot weather heater and the temps here have been 2 below o, not sure if that matters..thanks!
The hot water supply lines are probable frozen. Place electric heater safely under sinks and leave doors open. Place small fan on low setting and circulate air under sinks. Open hot water side of faucets. Allow cold water faucet side to drip. This will prevent cold line from also freezing. Close bathroom to heat up room as much as possible. Do the same in basement with a fan and heater at ceiling pipe risers. Once it is thawed and running allow it to drip to prevent further freezing. The trick is to safely thaw the lines without causing a fire. This is a safe and proven method.
Q: We have had ant problems in our bathroom! One day I watched the sink for like 20 seconds and ants start coming out! I dont know how to get rid of them! Any suggestions?! Thank you!(for the person who answered my last question EXACTLY like this one, as you can see I posted where they were coming from twice. THE BATHROOM SINK!)
If you have a P trap on your sink they should not be able to come through. A P trap is an S shaped pipe beneath your sinks drain it should always have water in it. If you do not have a P trap or there is no water in it then you should start with that. If your ants are capable of scuba diving their way up through this water barrier then I would recommend a back water valve this is a small plastic box with a 1 way flapper type door inside that lets anything from the sink push open the flapper and pass through but closes when anything tries to go up from below The back water valve is glued onto your plastic drain pipe after the P trap, you will have to cut the pipe for this and glue in the new piece.
Q: My only bathroom has a very old, cheap sink.It feels like hard plastic? Made to appear like yellow/tan marble. It has scratches all over it that ruin the appearance. Is there any type of paint that I could use to refresh/renew it temporarily?Of course, it will have to be paint that stands up to water...TY!
Some of the big box hardware stores carry a product to patch/touch-up porcelain. This MIGHT work for your sink, but not sure how long it will last. Would require some surface preparation to make sure you have a clean surface with some profile to it for the product to adhere (like sanding the sink surface).
Q: I live in the first floor of a two floor apartment. When someone in up-stair uses the kitchen sink, the dirty water flows back to my kitchen sink. It stays in the sink for couple of minutes then goes away. Sometimes the odorous water overflows and makes my kitchen floor very smelly. The super of out apartments seems to be struggling to find out why it is happening. He changed the pipe. cleaned it, etc. nothing seems to be working. DOes anyone know the cause. Please help! It snowed yesterday, and I do not have if that has anything to do with the situation.
There is a plug down your line to the main line.....somewhere. He needs to have that line snaked out. You can try using a drain product like crystal drain-o before you go to bed at night when neither of you is using the water. In the morning flush with hot water.
Q: Kitchen basin basin water pipe greasy how to deal with
You can buy oil products in your local market and supermarkets, or: wherever you can buy some of the treatment agents that deal with this water pipe oil
