Q:Just wanted an idea. We are looking to redo all of our bathroom countertops from tile to granite. I cant decide if I like the above the counter sinks or to place the sink below the countertop. Below is much more expensive. About $200 per cut. Anyway, any suggestions? Thank you.: My wife and I recently remodeled our bathroom with granite tile countertops. We went with square, top mounted sinks for more of an older look. Personally, I don't like the undermounts with granite or sold surface. It's just something about the way they treat the edges and rim that takes something away from the character of the sink and makes me think of a hotel bathroom. Also, the top mounts have a more detailed edge and rim so I just think it looks a little nicer. It's all just personal preference.

Ideally we are looking for luxury vessel sinks that has a beach theme or outdoor themeI did quite a lot of research online, however could not find a close match.I am really looking for brilliant ideas on how to potentially convert a typical sink to a luxury vessel sink.Thanks a lot in advance for your time.: any bowl can have a drain hole added by some one with glass knowledge. look up glass workers in your area before you buy the bowls and then ask if they could cut drain holes for you. if so you can purchase artsy beach theme bowls from a crafts show, second hand or even have another class assist.

Q:The old faucet on my bathroom sink is a single handled one. Can I change it to a double handled one?: Yes. All faucets have 2 supplies. One for hot water and one for cold. As long as you know what the hole pattern is for your sink, just get a new faucet that fits that hole distance.

Q:I've got a badly clogged bathroom sink. I took out the draiin cover and I can see where the water is just standing/ draining extremely slowly. I can't reach the clog, but I was able to get a wire coat hanger into it and pull out a small bit of hair (not sure how hair even got into the sink!) but it didn't do anything to speed the draning. There could be a small bit of gravel in the drain from a few months ago as well as some bits of paper (all on accident, I'd never put anything down there!). I already tried some baking soda and vinegar but it didnt help, the vinegar just made the water level raise. The water is maybe 6 or 7 inches from the drain (not in the sink, in the pipe). Q:Can the stainless steel basin be washed with detergent?: Can, wash powder and nothing corrosive, clothes and hand contact no problem ah. It is recommended to brush a layer of detergent, half an hour after the wash, the effect is more clean.

Q:I recently renovated my upstairs bathroom and used a vanity top with a pre-attached undermount sink. The sink didnt have an overflow hole, but I didnt think that I would have a problem until my girlfriend left the water running with the drain closed!What I want to know is if it would be practical to do something like drill a hole in the sink and somehow add an outlet that would connect to the drain. Does this even make sense, or should I try something else? Any help would be appreciated.: Not much can be done. Just buy a new sink with an overflow. Could try attaching a float to the plug? I know this is disgusting and I don't know what to do about it???: If you live in the UK then bathrooms usually have water supplied by a tank hot from the tank in your airing cupboard which is mains fed, cold is usually supplied by a tank some times in the loft which can become contaminated although this is mains fed there is a loose lid which could become dislodged I have heard of dead birds in cold water tanks. Worst case scenario is that your tank has been contaminated on purpose. Speak to your management company or health department and explain the problem, in the meantime use bottled water to brush your teeth and ask other residents if they have a similar problem
