Q:Can someone tell me how to keep my area rug from shifting? I have it on regular carpet. Thanks.
I sold rugs for awhile and u have to have a rug pad, the best one to get is called Persian dream made by the rug company called mil-liken. there should be a web site for them, also the Persian can be used for carpet or hardwood in case u have to move your rug to a different spot.
Q:Okay, i already have carpet in my house but the thing is...the carpet in the living room is hideous it doesn't match anything that i'm trying to do!! I would love to just rip the carpet up and put a new one down but i'm only renting this house! Anywho, can i put a big enough room sized rug over the carpet...how tacky would that be. I actually think it'll cover the whole carpet, it's pretty big my living room is pretty small! Any suggestions???
I do, I just make sure I lift the area rug once a week and vacuum the carpet underneath.
Q:I just moved into a new apartment about three weeks ago, and the carpet in only one room smells like ammonia. It's a really terrible smell and it won't go away after vacuuming many times. I know they shampooed the carpets before I move in. The lady before me who lived here had a dog. I know urine can smell like ammonia after it's sat awhile. Could it be that her dog peed on the carpet? Any ideas about how to get rid of the smell without shampooing the carpet?
I believe it is dog urine. It is in the carpet and padding. The mess is from the previous tenants dog and it should have be taken care of by her security deposit. Talk to your landlord and ask about replacing the carpet because it is a health issue. When a person pays rent they usually pay a security deposit that is for any damages to the property and I would say that dog urine is damage and the carpet should have been replaced instead of being cleaned. I would not try to clean it in any way because it is the responsibility of the landlord to make sure that the rental property is clean and not in any violation with any health codes.
Q:We just bought a house and the master bedroom has wool carpet in it and I just wanted to know how to clean it!!
Wool carpet looks and feels awesome, but is tougher to maintain. I would not use a general carpet shampoo on it since they tend to be rough on non-synthetic fibers over time. For spot treating (spills, etc): Use a white cloth dampened with barely warm water and a few drops of clear dish washing liquid. White cloth and clear liquid just to make sure there's no color/chemical transfer. Blot it the way you'd get at any spill and then a dry cloth to get all that water up. For a deep clean: You'll be better off getting a professional in once a year or whenever the mess is too big to clean yourself.
Q:I don't have one yet. I'm new to this. Why do we need a rug anyways?
There are only three rules to a prayer place it be clean It be towards the quibla it not be facing or have in front of it any forbidden objects This means you could even pray in the street if you could find a good spot. A prayer rug is optional and usually just makes the first and second rule easier to follow. You'll only place it towards the qibla (most have a compass on them) and you'll only stand on it with wudu so it's almost always clean. You can also place a prayer mat on an unclean/suspect surface to make it pak in most cases.
Q:What are the benefits of regular cleaning of carpets?
I have been to a small day (general entertainment is dimly lit, can let you distinguish between men and women is good), looking for something to see the headlights opened to see the results of sofa, tea table around the stained, the sofa is too horrible to look at, carefully smell, taste it..... You have no appetite for eating in such a place!
Q:Whether is the wood floor good or the carpet good in the bedroom?
Floor is recommended. Thought it's easier to cause fire and the heat?retention properties is slightly lower than the carpet, comfort matters, the comfort of carpet is better than the floor, if there are people smoking at home, it's much more convenient to clean floor! Put the life aside, the heat?retention of the carpet is better than the floor, but still better than floor tiles, cleaning is not convenient
Q:Does Pulling the Rug work against Demise OTK? Yu Gi Oh?
Ok here is how this works. If your opponent activates priority when using demises effect you can activate pulling the rug. If not you cannot. If you dont know what this means ask another question cause this is kind of an advanced move.
Q:I have a nasty old carpet and I don't want to replace it until I decide to get ceramic tiles or fiber glass vinyle. I went to Ikea and bought large area rugs. They move when we walk on them and they wrinkle. I used doubled sided tape, it didn't work. Can I use Gorilla glue? should I spray water first before using the glue?should I use super glue? I own the place, so it is ok to glue rugs to the carpet.
Get a RUG GRIP made for a RUG TO CARPET application. Get the best one you can afford. They are sold everywhere - WalMart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe's. Double sided tape doesn't work with carpet. DO NOT USE ANY GLUE. It will give off noxious fumes may cause respiratory issues. When you get a hard surface floor, you'll need a RUG TO HARD SURFACE FLOOR RUG GRIP.
Q:I am making my own rug with a random pattern. One of the strands broke on the canvas and i have a large area i can't work. How do I repair this? Any help or suggestions (other than start over) would be appreciated!
I used to make my own hooked rugs...just cut a patch of canvas the approx. size of that damaged area and incorporate the patch into the rest of your wool pattern...you could thread some thread first so it will stay in place as you are hooking the rug...Since it's a random pattern it will not be noticed (only from underneath) Right?
