- Q:It needs to be 8 feet by 10 feet and just be plain light creamish color. No designs, or swirls, or anything, just a light colored area rug! I cant find just a regular PLAIN one anywhere (not shag rug, just wool)... Any ideas or links are greatly appreciated!
- For just a plain rug with no design like you want, the best thing is to go to your local mom and pop type carpet store. Pick out a carpet that meets your color needs. It ll come 12 ' wide so order a pc 12x8 and you can ( or they can) easily cut it to the size you want . They will bind the edges or have the carpet sent out to be done ( very common). You can even choose color of binding ( same as most rugs) or choose to have it surged, a different edging type. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL

- Q:I have burned holes in my rug that need repaired. I have a piece of the same rug. Can this be repaired eaisly.....or best to call repair service.
- Cut a square piece of the rug out. Take an old pair of jeans. Cut out a square 1 bigger on all sides as the cut square of the rug. Use Elmers glue and glue the jeans square to the subflooring then put glue on the top of the square. Cut a piece of the carpet from the piece that you have the same size as the first square you cut out. Place it on top of the blue jeans square and press down to make sure it is totally catching the glue. Voila!
- Q:I have a puppy that is a year old and she still isn't fully potty trained(shes a lot better than she used to be, but still has accidents) plus i have a toddler and normally have many other children here- leaving spills and stains. So for the past year I have used my carpet shampooer A LOT but am now concerned that it may have mold under it or in the padding. my mother keeps telling me they aren't a good thing to use and they will create mold. - Carpet shampooers do thoroughly soak your carpet, but they are also designed to pull the liquid quickly back out so it does not remain in the carpet. The cleaning works the same way that the river smooths stones - friction and water. Mold requires a long breeding time, contaminants, and a warm, damp environment. One way to get mold in the carpet is to leave a wet spot for a long time. This could simply mean that the puppy managed to get away with one accident that you didn't see, and when you finally trod across that area, it was already soaked down to the padding and so, never got cleaned up. Another possibility is that your carpet shampooer MIGHT be malfunctioning, and not pulling the water back out fast enough. This would be very easy to determine, as the carpet would be very wet when you finish. If it's damp, but not soaked, then the carpet shampooer is probably not to blame for the problem. There is a possibility that you have another problem, such as a busted pipe or something that could be affecting it. If you can't determine the source, you can pull the carpet off of the tacks, and check to see if you have mold.
- Q:ok so my dining room has rug, which im not a big fan of would prefer tile or wood flooring but anyways since its rug i wanted to get an area rug to put underneath my table thats made of some hard material that in case people sill or drop food it can come off easily like it wood if it spilled on wood or tile flooring, has anyone seen carpets like that??? or any suggestions as to what i can put under there?

- As long as it was accidental, you usually can, but the deductable is usually more than the cleaning.
- Q:A bottle of gorilla glue spilt on the carpet (the kind that dries white) I can't get it off without tearing the carpet up...and I live in an apartment. Do I have to rip the carpet out or is there a way of getting it off. If I have to rip the carpet out how do I replace that patch?
- Unfortunately Gorilla Glue is a polymer and bonds with nylon carpet fibers. You'll have to cut out a patch of the carpet and replace it. Good luck finding a piece to match unless you take a piece from a closet. If you do that cut the damaged piece out first and lay ti over the replacement piece and CAREFULLY cut an identical patch. Tape in and glue the patch with carpet tape and adhesive. Make sure the pile and pattern match. Good luck.
- Q:Does anyone know if disposable kitchen rugs are made and sold anywhere? I would like to have a bunch of fairly good quality rugs in the closet and change then out whenever needed. Just pick u[p the dirty one and throw it away. Any ideas?
- It would be better if you have said me your location. Actually I can not give you surety of disposable rug but can tell you some discount giving shop name which must give you discount for every rugs or other goods you buy. So that you will not cost a more and you can throw it away if you want. By the by I think it is not necessary to throw the rugs if satisfies you through using. Here you may choose Ashley furniture.
