- Q:I have basic car knowledge and I do my breaks every time they need to be done but I have never done the Bearings. Does anyone know how much they would cost to do the fronts and the time frame to do it. Also how easy is it to do?
- Shouldn't be a problem for you. Time: maybe an hour per bearing if you're doing it without a lift. Cost varies based on vehicle...expect 40-60 bucks per bearing.
- Q:My favorite skateboard bearings are Bones Swiss bearings because Bones Swiss bearings are the fastest bearings I have ever used. I clean my Bones Swiss bearings with Bones Bearing Cleaner and I make my bearings fly with Bones Speed Cream.

- Q:We took our 1996 ford aerostar van into the mechanic the other day and he said it needs new wheel bearings on the front left tire and something like the axle assembly done, he said the housing was cracked right open on both sides and they need to be replaced and he said all up it would cost $1200, seems like alot of money, I know its not a great explanation but if you no wat parts im talking about, do you think this price is right? - The hub has bearings in it. If the bearing started to go bad and you keep driving on it. That in turn will damage the axle shaft. You have to replaced the front hub which come with new bearings, axle, axle seal, ect. Parts can be had for about 300 on the net. But taking it somewhere for about 1200 sound about right. If your mechanically inclined you could fix it yourself. Spending 1200 bucks on that van does not make sense to me.
- Q:So i took my bearings out of my skateboard to clean, and now i can't get them back in! I know that pounding it dents it, because i tried it before and i ruined my bearings. but its too hard to push them back in with my thumbs, i have the hard wheels. Somebody help me!
- put the wheels on the board with the bearings even if they arent all the way on the tighten the wheels on as tight as you can then the bearings should pop in place.

- ?!?!?! NO! Finger acetone cannot be used to clean bearings. You can clean bearings with a few things, I can only remember WD-40 at this point of time. Remember to completely dry the bearings before adding the correct lubricant and re-capping them.

- Three figure bearings are really quite straightforward in that it simply means that all bearings are measured clockwise from North. Examples N 35 ° E = 035 ° SW = 225 °

- Im not sure.. That could probably ruin the bearings.. That could cause them to rust up over time. I say just wipe clean them with a rag.. maybe if you spray just a little WD -40 to loosen up the dirt would be ok. .. They sell this bearing lubricant at skateshops. That would probably be ur best bet... Bones also sells this speed cream for bearings... If you got good expensive bearings like Bones then i would suggest you taken care of them buy special made products to clean keep your bearings lubricated.. Me my self got a mix of bearings , Lucky ,black panthers ,black widows .. So i don't really care i just spary a little WD-40 to wipe the dirt of clean them .. Though i heard that Wd-40 tends to rust up bearings .. But i just use a little my bearings are cool.. Had them for a while now no rust.. ..
