How do I choose the size of the inverter?

Different types of load demand for power are different. You can view the load power values to determine the size of the power inverter.

Q:I work in a place with frequent power outages with my laptop. I would usually take out my battery pack when I work with my laptop for hours on end to extend its life span, but here, that wouldn't make sense, since the power is gone every few minutes. I leave both mains power and batteries connected at the same time to tide me over all the blackouts. I will have to work like this for another two months, about 14 hours a day with the laptop on. Is that going to kill my batteries before their time? Or is the effect not that severe?
Actually manufacturers do recommend that you take the battery out if you are going to leave the computer plugged in for more than two weeks. Below I referenced a great article that gives recommendations on how to extend your battery life and to calibrate it so that your system tray shows an accurate reading of the amount of time you have left before your computer powers of.
Q:hii have a sony laptop and the battery is TERRIBLE lasting at most 30 mins. at uni and will use the laptop in lectures etc i will need to be able to use laptop without it being plugged in. i have been told that you can get external batteries that will last like 4 or so hours. does anyone recomend one?thanks
Change your power management profile, decrease the scren brightness, disable wifi if not using it.loads of things. Vista at full speed uses my battery in like 40/45 mins just sitting on the desktop, can stretch it out to like 3 hours at most. Google 4 an external battery if u really need one
Q:I was thinking of getting a mercury mariner hybrid, since I needed the cargo space, and wanted an SUV that got good gas mileage. I know that SUV hybrid packs are expensive, but some say the batteries can even outlast the car. Just to be safe, I wanna know where I can find one online, in case I ever need one in the future, so I can see firsthand how much they cost. I think the estimates I've read online are totally exaggerated. I've heard people paying $1200 to $6000 to replace battery packs. That's why I wanna see firsthand how much they actually cost. So, where do I find one?
Those prices are ball park and most likely include installation. Since different vehicles have different batteries, different configurations, etc, there will be a wide variability. Most dealerships will be the place to replace the batteries and it is beyond most home mechanics to do it safely. Ford/Mercury have numerous hidden warranties they do not talk about, and most manufacturers do this. They are likely to be silent about these ahead of a purchase, but they should be upfront about the battery packs, and what the corporate policy is regarding them. Some have reluctantly agreed to a replacement pack, even extending it to the next purchaser. They will not outlast the vehicle. 3 maybe 4 years tops, with a conventional loan these days, the person who makes payment 1 will in most cases not be the person making payment 60 or 72. So most initial purchasers will not see the battery replacement. They will pay a deductable, which covers the labor of the replacement, or a good portion of it.
Q:I have a dv6000 hp laptop computer with a battery pack that has been recalled. I have had the computer for over 5 years and have never had a problem, but now it will not power on, even when plugged inthe lights come on like it wants to power on, but shuts off right away. Could this be a problem with the defective battery or is it a virus or something else? Help!
Unless the battery has physical damage to it then it can cause the computer not to turnbut in this case it sounds like your actual motherboard can be bad.viruses will only affect the computer once it gets past the HP splash screen, but if that HP logo doesn't come up, it sounds like it is a bad motherboardRecommend to take in to a local PC shop to have a look at it.
Q:i spent so much buying rechargeable batteries for my player (4 pcs size AA). i cannot wait charging the batteries especially when i am on the go. i want a portable battery pack which i can take along when i go out. my player requires only 9v. playing video at long hours easily consumes the charge that's why i am looking for a battery pack which lasts longer.
Battery packs are usually built in but an adapter to work on 120vac or 12vdc just plug in. You can DIY a battery pack to work at the adapter plug in.
Q:I bought rechargeable batteries for my Nikon but I don't want to rely on those to last the whole time I'm gone. The rechargeable ones WILL already be in my Nikon. But how do I pack extra AA batteries? I have the Kirkland brand ones that AREN'T individually packed.
I wouldn't worry about it. I always bring my camera with an extra battery or two in the camera case that stay in my backpack. No one has ever questioned it. I even have a spare AAA battery floating around the same backpack, again never questioned. I fly about 3 times a month domestically and I think it would have come up by now if it were an issue. I also brought extras for my Motorola Razor, when I still had it and same story.
Q:I have a toshiba portable dvd player, it has a built-in rechargable battery, but I was wondering if it was possible to use the 10v input as a port for a battery.
You would need a higher voltage battery, maybe 15 v, then a regulator to bring it down to 10v for stability. Also it will need to be able to supply enough current to run the machine.
Q:I have a canon powershot a2300 that I bought new only a few months ago. I haven't used it in about a month, but I picked it up about 3 days ago and it was working fine the last two days but today everytime I turn it on, it just turns back off and gives me the message change battery pack. I just charged it so I know it's at full battery. Do I need a new battery?
Canon Powershot A2300 Battery
Q:I found a battery pack from a few years ago attatched to an remote control car, but cant remember how i used to charge itits one like this
go to walmart or kmart and buy an rc car battery charger. this type of battery requires a slow charge, that is about 12 hours. there are other, special type batteries, that can be fully recharged in 10 minutes. DO NOT TRY THAT WITH THIS RC BATTERY. just make sure that the charger is for the 9.6v pack.
Q:i have a cannon camera that holds a cannon battery pack NB-4L 3.7V 760mAh (Li-ion)and i am traveling to the phillipenes they have wall outlets that output 220 wattscan my cannon battery pack be charged without major promblems?thnak you.
It's not about the battery pack but more whether the charger will take multiple voltages. Most chargers will work anywhere in the world and are called multi-voltage chargers. To check have a look on the back of the charger and see if it says 'input 100-240v' If it does then it will work fine wherever you are in the world, just get the relevant adapter for the plug socket.
