- Q: my car recently (2 weeks ago started making a knocking noise like a chatter and i hear it coming from the engine. my mechanic said my main bearings are failing. he says the engine will last a couple years if i use a heavier weight oil. 2 years seems long. is that right?
- You can't guarantee anything when main bearings start to go bad. I bought main bearings for one of my cars and put off installing them for two weeks and the engine seized up solid. A truck had bad main bearings so I added Lucas Engine Treatment to see if it would last longer. (I had a spare engine to put in it) Well the engine was still running three years later. I would try the Lucas stuff for motor oil and price out the work with your mechanic. If you get them done soon you can avoid damage to the crankshaft.
- Q: I had just laid out 650.00 for a complete brake job at Sears for my step son's car about 3 months ago, and now his right wheel bearing is shot. I would think given the close relationship to the braking assembly to the wheel bearings, this shouldn't have been missed. Am I not understanding something here or does Sears owe me at least 1/2 off my wheel bearing job? I have just learned as well that Ford Focus also had a recall on wheel bearings for certain models. - The 1993 Cutlass Ciera does NOT have wheel bearings you can repack. They are what is known as Sealed Bearings. If they need grease, you MUST replace them. There is NO way around it. The Hub and Bearing come as an assembly! The job to swap out the Bearing/hub assembly is actually pretty easy. should take around an hour to do. You must remove the wheel, then the Brake Caliper, then the Rotor. then remove the big axle nut. Then remove the three bolts (torx bolts) that hold the hub to the steering knuckle. remove splash shield and remove the Hub/bearing assembly. You may need a special puller to get the hub out from the steering knuckle.

- u should go really really fast on ur board so the berrings can loosen up. and if u still have ur berring shields on u should take them off it loosens traction makes u go faster (those are solutions to make them faster without buying berring cream) and it depends how fast u want to go. lucky berrings, rushes, and Reds are really good at a decent price) if u want to go real fast and it doesnt matter how much money u got try swiss berrings there like 30$ compared to luckys,reds, and rushes which are 15$

- There are a couple things you can do. Delete the contact and there is also a setting in Messenger where you will always appear as off line to that contact. I know in MSN there is a block feature, but not that used to Messenger.

- hi BH id say it be ok oils oil right ? why not use WD40 ? you really want a thin oil to penetrate the bearings - to clean them AND lubricate them wd does this.
