Q:I recently made a trade with another airsofter and i found that the shell was missing some ball bearings and the spring was bent. where can I find a replacement for this. I live near carpendersville and there are very few airsoft stores around that i can get to. The shell just releases the gas once i fill to a certain point (like in .25 seconds)
Madbull grenades use 4mm bearing balls. Most other brands use 3mm bearing balls. I have not been able to find any metric bearing balls in any big box or local hardware stores, and SAE bearing balls will not work. You can buy 4mm and 3mm steel bearing balls from McMaster-Carr online. When I only need a few 3mm bearing balls, I get them off eBay. Some RC car differentials use 3mm bearing balls, so you can get 10 for less than $3 shipped. The springs are a bit different from maker to maker. Ball point pen springs do not have enough tension to effectively keep the shell from misfiring in your gear. Your best bet will be to either bring the existing spring with you to match it at the hardware store, or bring the valve and plunger to test fit springs. (Do NOT bring the whole shell to the store. That would be very unwise.) Good luck, D
Q:Recently started getting alot of noise coming from the front of our truck. The sound is like a high pit ch noise the gets louder as the truck picks up speed. I would best describe it as a high pitch or like the sound of really big 4x4 tires as they drive by you on the freeway. I did the standard wheel bearing check. Jacked up the truck and pushed and pulled on the wheel. I get no shake or looseness. I can say that the passenger front doesn't roll as smooth as the driver front. I pulled the hub off and did a close visual and i can see nothing wrong. No leaking, scaring, or looseness. Just the lack of rolling smoothness like the other side. Could this be a bad bearing?
It could be but it can also be dry bearings. Did you grease the bearings while you had the hubs off? If not grease them if the problem doesn't go away I would then replace the bearings. Bearings are fairly cheap so for your own peace of mind you will know they are OK. I hope I have helped you.
Q:I have a Sector 9 Bert deck and I'm looking for some new wheels for it. My question is if I'll have to get bearings for the wheels and if I do, does the size of them matter? Also, do you think there's a specific wheel I should get?
Wheels dont usually come with bearings. So yes. Or you could just use the bearings out of the wheels that you already have. Often times inexpensive wheels are slow due to bad quality urethane being used(im talking generic Ebay wheels.) Here are a few options that are quality/inexpensive. Abec 11 flashbacks 78a- can be cheap depending on where you buy them. Gravity Drifters/Blazers/Burners Sector 9 Butterballs Churchill Slide rite/White Owl Hope this helps
Q:what kind of bearings do i need for a1976 honda cb750?
Phillip missed it on several points. The crankshaft main bearings and con rod big ends are replaceable plain bearings, small end rod are non-replacable plain with full floating wrist pin, camshaft plain, tranny shafts are caged ball bearings, steering head are loose balls (really cheap crap), swing arm pivot are plastic bushings (really, really cheap crap) and the wheel bearings are caged balls. You should be able to replace the steering head and swing arm with tapered roller bearings, which will really improve handling.
Q:Rods amp; bearings need to be replaced in an 98 Explorer. Need a temporary fix. Thanks.
Temporary fix: Rental car.
Q:i want to grease my bearings but i have no idea how to take them out... and i do want to break them or ruin them...how do i do it???
Is if for a sk8teboard wheel? if so use your trucks and put the wheel on one end of the truck and wedge/pull it out. It should pop out pretty easy. to put it back in you put the bearing in place and use the one end of the truck again and just push it in.
Q:Ive put some 18 wheels on my car (which shouldnt be a problem because I know people with bigger ones on a golf) as soon as they went on, the car makes a howling noise from the front, a bit like a wheel bearings gone, or they are catching on something? There are no scuff marks on the wheels or tyres and I got a mechanic to check the bearings and they are fine, It sounds worse when the car is slowing down, ive also had the wheels checked and balanced, there is nothing wrong with the alloys but one of the tyres was slightly mis-shapen but ive been told thats not the problem, any ideas please? Dont feel safe driving it until I know whats causing itThanks
Hi, the front wheel bearings on the golf's are not a tapered type and are very hard to check for freeplay / wear when car is jacked up...I have worked for VW for 30 years and changed many of the front pressed in type bearings....the only sure way of testing which side bearing is noisy is to spin the wheel up to a high speed with car jacked up and feel the bottom of the shock behind the wheel hub were the hub is bolted to it, if the bearing is worn you will feel a grinding sensation through the hub. This can be very dangerous if you are not careful....we used a mobile wheel balancing machine to spin each wheel up while, it was jacked up on one side... I would not try this if I was you with no training...Get a 2nd opinion from your local VW specialist or come and see me if you are in NW UK...
Q:i need cranlkshaft bearings for my 1985 kx 125
Maybe on OKorder
Q:how to replace front wheel bearings for 1997 mustang?
Front wheel bearings are easy to change on rear wheel drive cars.but make sure you pack the new bearings with grease.I don't mean rub some grease on them,I mean PACK.If you do not know how,get some help. The bearings will not last long if you do not pack them.
Q:Front wheel bearings
You normally just check the bearings when you do the brakes. Then you clean and repack them. If you get front wheel looseness or noise, then you jack it up and check for bearing play, or hear grinding.
