- Q: I heard that gas makes skateboard bearings go fast and go a long time. Can you do it with sealed bike bearings? If so, how long should it soak?
- Six hours is easy peasy. Try thirty three stretched over three days. XD When I lived in Arizona, my horses made several trips that long a couple times a year with no problem. 1. How long is it okay to leave polo wraps on? I have never had to leave them on longer than a training session before. -- She should be fine with them on the whole time, though they aren't that necessary. For long trips, I skip things like that, but put them on if you want. Shipping boots would be better 2. Should I avoid giving her feed that morning? What about that evening? -- Feed her as usual. It would be more damaging to skip a feeding. 3. How often should I offer her water? -- Every two hours. She may not want to drink, a lot of horses don't when they're in trailers, so get a bag of apples, and or carrots to feed her. They have some liquid in them to help to sustain her, the biggest thing is having water ready for her when you get her to her new home. 4. Should I tie her in the trailer or just let her have her head? -- Tie her as you usually would. 5. Should I leave a bale of Timothy/Alfalfa hay in her reach, or just give her a flake here and there? Give her a flake or two in there for her to nibble on. Add: Oh, and an important thing. Unless it is a great emergency, do not take her out of the trailer when you stop. Should she get loose, if something spooks her, or she gets upset and won't trailer for some reason, you're pretty much screwed. When I moved across the country, my horses were lucky enough to get out night, since there are horse motels all over that let you rent a stall for the night, and luckily they all were willing to go back in the trailer the next morning. :p
- Q: People keep saying they`re good, but i just wanna make sure. I will rate the best answer. Please answer ASAP )
- yes they are pretty good, but they don't tend to last that long. if you want to get a good or decent pair of bearings, get bones reds.
- Q: i got a 1992 ford explorer and the axle bearing in the rear are gone out. but i dont know what i need to buy to replace it. im not sure if it takes an inner and outer like the front or does it just take one? please help
- Please disregard the first two replies completely. The bearings are NOT pressed onto the axle shafts. They are seated into the ends of the axle tubes. After draining the fluid out of the differential you only need to remove the C-clips that hold the axles in the differential carrier. The axles then slide out. Hold the old bearing against the new bearing while tapping the new bearing in place. This is so you tap it into place evenly. Then tap the bearing seal into place. Re-insert the axle shaft and C-clip. You can get a new axle cover gasket from a parts store or you can use just a layer of black RTV on the cover (works just as well; I use this method). Fill the axle housing back up with fluid.
- Q: Recently it moves from side to side a bit when you are driving. I has a horrible screeching sound when you drive. and it has a popping sound to it. I've been told it was the bearings. Possible the brakes too. I really don't want to give up on this classic car. So could anyone tell me or give me links to how to fix up the car. PRETTY PLEASE. That car has been with my family for a LONG time, so we really want to fix it and do it ourselves. Let's see, It's pretty much the axel/tires that we don't really know what's wrong. We are tired of getting screwed over with people who claim that fix cars but don't. So any help will be good. Thanks for your time and answers.
- SUPER SIMPLE...I LOVE OLD CARS...does it also shimmy w you step on brakes?jack up front end, both tires, support well,ur going to be pushin n pullin.both tires should spin freely.before u pull front tires u should try to shake them firmly ,a slow deliberate jerk, from side to side.ur checking for slop in ur chassis components, tie rods,ect..ull know the bad ones when u see them.when u replace them just take rough mesurements 4 length,it will have to be aligned at a shop, just hope ur ball joints are good, there expensive to replace.pull front tires, disk or drum brakes?disc....pull caliper, pop off master cyl cap, this is where u put brake fluid.slowly push piston back in caliper.use huge channel pliers and inside brake pad.the rest is downhill.if u do replace bearings also repl bearing races.just use long punch through center of hub to push them in n out.take all old parts w u to part store always keep left right seperate and the food off the mechanic plate.....if ur brakes shimmy w applied ur rotors drums need resurfaced.....good luck w ur sweet american car dont worry too much about spindles, just clean them up w emry cloth or really fine sndppr
- Q: can you use these bearing interchangable?
- N design Inside track with two unitary flanges, while outside track without flange. Axes's axial displacement to bearing block can be endured by bearing from two directions. Therefore, these bearings usually used as non position end bearings. NU design The outside track of NU design bearings has two unitary flanges, while inside track without flange. Axis's axial displacement to bearing block can be duded by bearing from two directions. Therefore, these bearings usually used as non position end bearings. Due to the reason of manufacture and maintenance, two flanges of outside track of NU design big bearings showed on drawing maybe not unitary, but with loose fit-up flange rings. NJ design Outside track has two unitary flanges, inside track also with one unitary flange. Therefore, these bearings suitable for the axial orientation of axes from one direction. Since their design and usage are for different purposes I would say no they are not interchangeable.
- Q: I forget hot to change the bearing s in my hockey skates, and what skates/bearings would be best for missions?
- First, you need to know which size of bearings you have. Most skates use 608 bearings which are about 7/8 outer diameter. Many hockey skates come with 688 bearings which are 5/8 outer diameter. You can use the other size, as long as you replace the wheels and bearing spacers at the same time. The other thing you need to know is which axle size you have. 6mm axles are about 1/4 and 8mm axles are about 3/8. For 6mm axles, you push the thin edge of the spacer so that it pushes the far bearing out the other side of the wheel. For 8mm axles, you have to pull the near bearing our towards you. The easy way is to use a bearing tool or 1/4 socket handle to roll the bearing out. Much easier to show than describe. Any quality bearing will be great.
- Q: How to clean your skateboard bearings ????
- take it to the mechanic or you'll loosen up the housing
- Q: this guy told me to do that..and i didnt get it
- Just ride the skateboard...after a short time they will have broken in...You can also flip the skateboard over and spin the wheels hard for a couple of minutes...
- Q: My rear bearings are bad I have a new set I just want to no how difficult they are to change and what it all consists of
- rear bearings in the engine or the differential. the two are very different but either one would be a project. the engine, you would have to pull the engine out or pull the oil pan off and deal with it that way. pull all of the main bearing caps and replace them. the rear end is a bit more complex as you have to pull the axles out, pull the carrier and start from there.
- Q: I recently made a trade with another airsofter and i found that the shell was missing some ball bearings and the spring was bent. where can I find a replacement for this. I live near carpendersville and there are very few airsoft stores around that i can get to. The shell just releases the gas once i fill to a certain point (like in .25 seconds)
- Madbull grenades use 4mm bearing balls. Most other brands use 3mm bearing balls. I have not been able to find any metric bearing balls in any big box or local hardware stores, and SAE bearing balls will not work. You can buy 4mm and 3mm steel bearing balls from McMaster-Carr online. When I only need a few 3mm bearing balls, I get them off eBay. Some RC car differentials use 3mm bearing balls, so you can get 10 for less than $3 shipped. The springs are a bit different from maker to maker. Ball point pen springs do not have enough tension to effectively keep the shell from misfiring in your gear. Your best bet will be to either bring the existing spring with you to match it at the hardware store, or bring the valve and plunger to test fit springs. (Do NOT bring the whole shell to the store. That would be very unwise.) Good luck, D
