Q: Rods amp; bearings need to be replaced in an 98 Explorer. Need a temporary fix. Thanks.
Temporary fix: Rental car.
Q: i have the money its just that i don't know which ones to bye
This Site Might Help You. RE: what r good skateboard decks, trucks, bearings, and wheels? i have the money its just that i don't know which ones to bye
Q: i saw some that said speed demons, abec 7 and some that just said ABEC 7 which ones are faster?
Long board wheels are larger and wider than skateboard wheels. And because of it, longboards are faster for travelling compared to skateboards and it can even roll to rougher terrain. i haven't tried to put longboard wheels on my skateboard so i guess you had to try to put the longboard wheels on your skateboard and see if the wheels won't touch the board when you ride it. Else, you had to replace your skateboard wheels or use your longboard.
Q: I got this bones bearing cleaner kit and now all I need is the cleaner. I want a cheap cleaner that doesn't ruin the bearings. Thanks.
You might laugh.... until you try it. Then you will be like... That dude on Yahoo answers was so right. Old trick, but its more for smooth bearings than actual cleaning, although they do get clean in the process. Get a glass. Buy Johnsons and Johnsons baby oil. Fill the glass with enough of the baby oil so when you dump your bearings in there, they are fully immersed. Let those babies sit in there for a few hours. Take out the bearings, wipe all the crap and dirt from them.. clean them real good. Spin them, get the crap out of them. THEN... fill up another glass with the baby oil... same thing, dump all your bearings in there fully immersed. Leave it overnight... wake up next morning, lightly wipe them, assemble your bearings and wheels. Dont OVERTIGHTEN! Just enough that the wheels are solid, but not tightly bolted. Let her rip! Don't be afraid to wear a grin of awesomeness when you discover how much better the bearings are. Find a nice smooth patch of road... take a few pushes, and see how far you roll.
Q: are these above, just consumable type things ,that need replacing after time, how many miles for each generally speaking would they need to get replacedwhat are signs that track rod ends have excessive playwhat are signs that wheel bearings have excessive play, and what exactly do they do
if they bad now the best time to do it since tie rod control s steering breaks you crash wheel bearing control wheel spin breaks wheel locks up or comes off you crash wheel cylinders part of brake system no brakes you crash driving any amount of tiem with any of them bad not smart crashing cost you way more than parts will your car your life few hundred buck notr hard for me to know which id pick fix the car over my life any day of week
Q: I have a shaft that is in a vertical position. I need to support the axial (vertical) and the radial (side) force. I can understand how to support the side force with the ball bearings. I would just slip the bearings through the shaft and then create some kind of housing and bolt it to a structure close to it. But the radial force? The ball bearings I have do not have any type of set screw, so their is nothing to lock it into place.
There are pressure bearings which are installed (in your case) at the bottom of a vertical rotating shaft to support the weight or downward pressure of it and reduce friction. Those bearings are usually roller or needle bearings. I have seen them also with steel balls but having an identical top and bottom plate or ring. It is unwise to use regular ball bearings with an inner and outer ring for that.
Q: I know it all depends on preference, but is it worth upgrading from ABEC 5s to ABEC 7s?
Roller Hockey Bearings
Q: I have a 2001 BMW 325i. I believe that we need to change the wheel bearing (passenger rear). You can check my other questions in case the diagnosis is incorrect...(help??)Does anyone have any diagrams, instructions on how to change them? Is it necessary to have them pressed on/off? (that would determine if I could do this at home or not. Please help, this is my sons car and he is in the military and doesn't have time or cash to spend on it. So mom dad are trying to help them out. Any advice or websites will be appreciated. Thanks, stormphyre
The rear knuckle will have to come off, and be taken into a shop that can replace the bearing. That is provided it is the outer bearing. The problem is more likely the axle. CV joints fail more often then the bearings.
Q: i dont understand much about cars so can u explain it so i can understand
the bearings are the attachment points for spinning parts. they allow virtually frictionless rotation with oil lubrication. think of a hand held pinwheel. the propellor is turning on a shaft. this is an example of a bearing on a shaft.
Q: Back in the day(about 10 years ago) I had ceramic wheel, crank, water pump, countershaft, mainshaft and steering stem bearings. I was trying to find ceramic bearings for my son's KTM 50 and can't find anyone that sells them. I am trying to cut down on weight on his little bike. I am also trying to find a titanium shock spring for that little bike.Any help would be much appreciated. I have been trying Google for the past couple of days. This stuff is for the 50cc mod class not the stock class...
Don't know how much help this would be to you as I have a crf250r and have ceramic bearings in it but being in Australia mine came from a company called Black Mamba Racing. They are worth the cost and it is a mod that most will not admit to but all the pros run them in their bikes. Finding them for a ktm 50 could be an issue though as most would not think to put them in therefore there may not be much of a market for it. So perhaps look for a company like Black Mamba that produce racing components in your country.
