- The 96' has regular taper bearings but it matters when getting the bearing you have to specify if your Ranger has the Dana35 or the Dana28 axle. NOTE: The 00' Ranger does have the Hub assembly style bearings.

- Q:How to replace front wheel bearings and 97 saturn?
- First you break the lug nuts and axle nuts loose, then jack the car up and support on stands. When you have it up on the stands start removing parts, the wheels, calipers, and rotors. That should expose the hub bearing bolts for removal, then take off the main axle nuts. Find and disconnect the traction control wires that lead to the hub bearings, then remove the hub bearing retaining bolts. Then reverse the order to install the new hub bearings, you will need a torque wrench for this job and the axle nut socket. When putting everything back together torque to exact specifications, even the lug nuts because any wrong torque will ruin the new bearings.

- hard to tell, I bet they are the same if you broke them in. It can take months of constant skating to break in a set of abec bearings. You never know what you're going to get with abec rated bearings because that rating doesn't mean anything for skate bearings only swiss does. Use some speed cream and break them in and you'll have some fast bearings.

- I would not recommend re-lubing cause they are already lubricated with speed cream and if you put too much in the bearings slow right down and get dirty so I would leave them especially cause they are new ..the lube is meant to dry in a way so the balls absorb the lube ....And make sure you buy speed cream DO NOT use CRC or WD40 cause it breaks down the Nylon part and is generally not good for them ..Also don't clean with citrus cleaners, the best thing to do is get some petrol and take the bearings out of the wheels and take the red barrier thing off (carefully) and drop them in ..Then lube them with speed cream 2 drops is perfect ..But yeah that's about all you need to know ...Definitely buy Bones speed cream its $10 in NZ where im from so go to a skateshop and buy some Good luck and Happy skateboarding Tom

- You'll need a tool called a slide hammer and the proper associated fittings to remove rim bearings. Personally, I wouldn't reuse bearings that were removed. These are often cheap enough to just purchase new without worry that soon you'll be replacing them soon. Since you're dealing with bicycle bearings, they're going to be pretty cheap. Industrial and vehicle related bearings will cost more. The slide hammer attachement basically grabs the bearing pack from the inside diameter where the shaft would slide through. the attachment is connected to the slide hammer. you hold the rim down and slide the hammer weight towards you or upwards in a fast motion.
- Q:I have a 1990 240sx that has an Sr20det motor. I was driving home one day and about 15 minutes from home my engine started sounding like marbles. When I got home after only 15 minutes of it sounding like that I turned it off and removed the oil pan and there were definitely pieces of rod bearing in it. My question is, after driving for only 15 minutes home, could it have more damage than just the bearings?
- definately. your rods are probably bad or bent pistons may have scored the walls at an angle cuz the rods wernt straight due to the bearings,ect. time for a total rebuild or another engine.
