- You need to find another mechanic or take it to a REAL mechanic. You absolutely should have the wheel bearings replaced before your repair bill gets higher as they fail. If you plan to keep the car, have them replaced on both front wheels. If you only plan to have the car for less than a year, just do the one that's failing. Depending upon the car, it can range from rather inexpensive to ridiculously expensive. Replacing wheel bearings is a normal maintenance item and to be expected as the miles add up.

- Don't buy these. The main reason is they have crimp on shields. Dirt gets in them easier and thee is no way to take them off to clean or lube them. Unless you are ordering other things from them, the shipping cost will double the cost of the bearings. You can get better bearings like Bones Reds, at a local skateshop for the same price.

- Depends on the make. You have to remove the steering knuckle then depending on the make remove the screws that hold the hub assembly and change it. Though some you have the have the hub pressed out, then the bearing pressed out, then pressed back in one then the other,

- OK Ive done this tons of times before..you cant crush the bearings but u gotta worry if you have ball bearings, you dont lose them if they all come spilling off. P.s : On my p rod plan b deck i took off the covers of the rim and you ride smoother

- All legit skateboard wheels have the same size space for bearings - ie they take the same bearings as each other. I think you are experiencing problems because the bearings need to fit very tightly into the wheels so that they don't come out under the huge forces skateboarding exerts So the good news is that you don't need to get anything new. To fit bearings, take one of the wheels off of one of your trucks. Put the bearing down over the axle, put the wheel over the top, and push down HARD (use bodyweight) until it pops into place. Take the wheel off, put the other bearing on the axle, turn the wheel round and repeat so the wheel has 2 bearings on it. It should fit flush into the space. To make sure (or to push it in that bit more) put the wheel on, and tighten the nut on the truck down onto the wheel until the bearings fit snugly. (just don't over-do it or you will wreck the bearings) Alternatively you can buy a tool to push the bearings in, or ask a skate shop to do it for you - but the method above should work easily
