HK Seal/close type Drawn cup needle roller bearings HK :
1.The drawn cup needle roller bearings are needle roller bearings with the deep drawn, thin-walled outer ring with either an open end or closed end.
2. The bearings are characterized by a very low sectional height and high load carrying capacity
3. The bearings are typically used in applications where the housing bore can not be used as a raceway for a needle roller and cage assembly but where a very compact and ecnomical bearing arrangement is required.
4. Typically, drawn cup needle roller bearings have a single row of rollers. However, wide sizes incorporate two needle roller and cage assemblies immediately asjacent to each other with a lubrication hole in the outer ring.
Product Applications:
Needle roller bearings are mainly used in car engines, transmissions, compressors, cranes, etc.

- Q: i have the bearings already, i just severely lack the necessary skills to do it myself, so im trying to figure out the usually price that a mechanic would charge
- totally depends on the vehicle. What make, model, and engine is it?
- Q: I had just laid out 650.00 for a complete brake job at Sears for my step son's car about 3 months ago, and now his right wheel bearing is shot. I would think given the close relationship to the braking assembly to the wheel bearings, this shouldn't have been missed. Am I not understanding something here or does Sears owe me at least 1/2 off my wheel bearing job? I have just learned as well that Ford Focus also had a recall on wheel bearings for certain models. That should have been a red flag there for them if they are any type of a reputable repair service nation wide. Help me please.... I cannot afford any more repairs, but I cannot afford to have him use our cars either.
- Hi Sorry friend, it would be hard to know even looking for it. The bearings seat in, and with the new breaks , that would realign the bearing races and failure is soon to follow.
- Q: i have a 1988 F150 4 wheel drive need a diagram dose any have one that i can see
- Try okorder . They have a repair section that might help you.
- Q: are these above, just consumable type things ,that need replacing after time, how many miles for each generally speaking would they need to get replacedwhat are signs that track rod ends have excessive playwhat are signs that wheel bearings have excessive play, and what exactly do they do
- its really tuff to say it just depends on the Quality of the part
- Q: ive been skateboardoing for about 1 year and my wheels are kinds slow so i would be pleased if you teach me how to clean bearings ty!
- NEVER use WD-40! EVER. moving on. if you can remove the bearing shield (the little rubber/metal covering on the outside of the bearing), do so. then get a small tub/bucket of soapy water and clean the shields. for the actual bearings, i'd get the Bones bearing cleaning kit. it has a bottle with a shaft on the cap so you can put the bearings on without touching each other, it's only like $5 bucks. if not, just get some sort of bottle with a semi-large opening and put them in without the shields on. what you put in is very important. i use isopropyl rubbing alcohol, but i think you can use anything that's not citrus or water? based. swish them around and change the fluid until there is no more black residue coming out. dry them out with a blast of compressed air. then put in your silicone lube. NOT WD-40. only about 2 drops/bearing. i use Bones speed cream. put the shield back on and put them back in!
- Q: Was recently told by a friend that my front two wheel bearings needed replaced (actually, that the wiring for them was pulled right out of them - which in an 99 Alero requires replacing the entire system) after an ABS light had been on for quite awhile in my car. Furthermore, he suggested that I also needed to replace a pigtail in my car - though I do not know what that is (anyone know?). He quoted me a $750 price tag on the deal and being our friend, we assume that we are getting some sort of labor deal as well - but checking it out we found some sort of pigtail online but it was only $10. With $190 for each wheel bearing that should add up to only $390 + tax so we were a little confused. Can anyone explain what/how much a pigtail is actually worth and what would be a right price on this fix with without labor? I realize prices are slightly different all over the world - so if it helps, this is in Ohio in the States. Much appreciative!!!
- Check with at least two other reputable auto centers in your area. The labor for wheel bearings can be high because the parts have to pressed by a big machine. Lots of bolts to pull and maybe you are getting new brake rotors too because bad bearings can ruin the brakes as well. good luck....
- Q: i have a 2003 suzuki ozark 250, and the front wheel bearings are shot. I have the bearings, but before i start, i would like to have an idea of what im doing. Is it anything like replacing wheel bearings on a car? If so, just say its like that and i should be good to go. i've looked all over the internet for instructions, but i cannot find any. Ive changed car wheel bearings before, so if its anything like that, then say so. If not, post a link or description on how to do it. thanks
- is almost the same, the only diff is how the wheel is opened up,,, i believe they seal the bearings so you will haft to press them out i think,, if not then then its the same,,, ive only came across 2 types of 4wheelers that had to do that,, they were polarius models that floated on the water,,, now lookin at yours its the same as a car,,, after removing the wheel you take off the spindle ( for a car its called a rotor) then pick out the bearing clean out the grease add new grease, and pack the bearings with grease befor you put it in,, the more grease the better lol
- Q: So lets say I fill the cup all the way around with bearings, then how many do I remove before putting the cone on?
- Never use old bearings with new ones. The old ones are worn and no longer the same size as the new ones. If properly installed, bearing retainers should never be damaged in a bottom bracket. I have a Campagnolo bottom bracket on one of my bikes. The bearing retainers in that bottom bracket are the ones that came with it when I bought it in 1973. I have changed the ball bearings several times but I kept the bearing retainers. If your bearing retainers are being damaged it is because of improper installation or other damage. Since you also had trouble with damaged bearing retainers in your headset, I vote for improper installation
- Q: Ok, i fully understand what they are talking about if they say something like N35degreesE. That all makes sense. But, when they say in my book something like 179degreesT, i have no idea what they are talking about. Can anyone help me?Thankyou all so very muchxo
- Three figure bearings are really quite straightforward in that it simply means that all bearings are measured clockwise from North. Examples N 35 ° E = 035 ° SW = 225 °
- Q: i need a 2 piece bearing that has plates (like the swivel on a computer chair) but can seperate and be put back together...anyone know how to make this or know where i can get one (i plan on welding a metal disk to each side but i want to be able to seperate the disk when repair is necessary)
