HK Seal/close type Drawn cup needle roller bearings HK :

1.The drawn cup needle roller bearings are needle roller bearings with the deep drawn, thin-walled outer ring with either an open end or closed end.

2. The bearings are characterized by a very low sectional height and high load carrying capacity

3. The bearings are typically used in applications where the housing bore can not be used as a raceway for a needle roller and cage assembly but where a very compact and ecnomical bearing arrangement is required.

4. Typically, drawn cup needle roller bearings have a single row of rollers. However, wide sizes incorporate two needle roller and cage assemblies immediately asjacent to each other with a lubrication hole in the outer ring.

Product Applications:

Needle roller bearings are mainly used in car engines, transmissions, compressors, cranes, etc.

Q:does cold or hot temperatures cause skate bearings or any bearing to spin faster?
heat will cause the bearings to expand and cause more friction. Colder weather will cause the bearing to shrink and then there will be less friction; however, if it's lubricated, the heat will cause the lubricant to be more fluid and causeing the bearings to move quicker and the cold weather will be the opposite
Q:When u need wheel bearings will your tire come off?
Yes it can. Steve is completely wrong. I had this happen to me today. I started noticing smoke coming from the wheel bearing and then it started getting loud and it felt like something was breaking off in the wheel area. The abs light came on and I drove it around the block and then the wheel just popped off. It was crazy. Never thought I'd have something like that happen to me. I was lucky that I wasn't going fast when it happened.
Q:what are bearings on a fishing reel?
Which are you talking about, ball bearings or roller bearings?
Q:Many one-way needle roller bearings have small holes in the inner and outer rings. What's the function of these small holes?
The basic structure and NU type cylindrical roller bearing inner ring bearing the same, but because of the needle, the volume can be reduced, and can bear large radial load to the bearing without inner ring shaft mounting surface with suitable precision and hardness as the raceway surface
Q:ok so i got a long board this Christmas and well....can i use 70% rubbing alcohol to clean them before i re lube them?and if i can then do i have to let them sit/shake them up a little longer to get them clean?and what kind of lubrication should i get to re lube them?and how long do you think my bearings, trucks , wheels and deck will last if i dont carve ( cause im only going to cruse ) only use my board when its sunny and dry out side and clean/ re lube my bearings every month?p.s. im 125 pounds if that makes a difference...MY LONG BOARD...arbor bamboo pintail72mm/78A arbor wheelsblack gullwing trucksabec 5 bearings (closed bearings )

Q:what can i use 2 clean longboard/skateboard bearings besides acetone?
Your toung.
Q:I just bought a 1996 Dodge Dakota, and it has a right pulling problem. I just got done jacking up the front end, and i tried rotating the tire on the passenger side. The tire would not move. Since i am going to be soon tearing this vehicle apart could the wheel bearings be siezed, or does it sound like a stuck caliper?
Like some of the previous posters have suggested I would guess a brake caliper problem. Pins not allowing the caliper to move freely will cause your brakes to drag are a more common problem than wheel bearings seizing. A wheel bearing would make a heck of a racket to get to the point it was hot enough to melt/seize up on a spindle.
Q:i have bones swiss and i was cleaning them but the balls fall and i dont know how to assemble it again, plz help!
There should be a plastic or metal retaining cage within the bearings that you can pop the balls into. Check to see if you put the cage in the right way and that the balls are seated within the cage properly. The cage is pretty obvious and looks like a ring with several holes for the balls, so put them in there. It might take some work, and can get tricky to put the balls back in the retainer cage, but it can be done. Also, you can buy spare balls for the bearing of you lose some. And if all else fails and you cannot find a place that sells spare balls, you can always buy individual bearings. In the future, you don't really need to take the balls out of the cage. All you need to do is remove the shield, and blast out any dirt or debris with WD40 or degreaser, dry them, relube them and put the shields back on. Trust me, its easier on your bearings and you won't have to worry about losing the balls or breaking the cage.
Q:Which is better?
i've never used destructo bearings before but I have used rush bombers and they are a nice bearing, took a little while to break in but once they were they lasted a couple years with proper lubing and cleanings here and there, most bearings will if you take care of them.
Q:All bearings are designed with tolerances to allow the moving parts to move, but how are wear limits determined? In other words, after time, the components will start to wear out and the bearing will become looser. Looking at some aircraft maintencance manuals, they provide wear limits in the radial and axial directions. But how are these wear limitis determined? Is there a particular calculation that is done or is an arbitruary number chosen?
General ideas only. In the case of journal bearings with forced lubrication (oil pressure), increasing clearance results in oil pressure drop. Ideally, journal bearings hold an oil film which supports the rotating shaft and minimizes metal/metal contact. Automobile engines run for hundreds of thousands of miles using this strategy. Radial ball bearings will tolerate excess clearance (depending on the load) but the shafts they support often will not. In cases where oil seals are used, excess shaft play damages seals and permits leaking. In the case of motor or pump shafts, bearing slack permits rotor/stator contact or impeller/involute contact. Rotating masses are never perfectly balanced or axially aligned. Bearing slack multiplies unbalanced force and consequent load.
