Q: i can't find any reviews on it. does anyone knows if its any good?: I have the chocolate stripe one, i also have the sheet, stable rug and exercise fleece! They all excellent. The fleece is just thick enough, without being too stuffy and thick. And it keeps really well. My mare is a mucky thing and has rips in all her rugs but these ones seem really strong and so she hasn't managed to damage them too badly. I really recommend them, plus they look nice :)

Q: What is sole and composit bottom of the carpet? What's the difference?: There is no need to be composit bottom. If it is laid in front of the bed or marble. The composit bottom carpet is mainly used for the floor tile: Composit bottom means that add a layer of anti-skid plastic cloth to the back bottom of chenille. If laid in the wooden floor, it not only has a non slip effect, but also can make the product more three-dimensional. Especially in the bathroom.

Q: I have carpet in the living room, it's not a big room, average size. I have a BISSELL steam cleaner, the one with the bristles, and I can empty the tank 5 times and keep going over the room and it still comes up dirty (the water) Is this normal? It's not possible to clean it until the water comes up clean is it? This carpet is probably old, we moved in a year ago so I am not sure how old it is.: I also have a steam cleaner--a Bissel Proheat 2X. (I love my steam cleaner.) It is not a good idea to steam your carpets repeatedly like that. If the carpet pad becomes saturated with water, mildew and the accompanying musty smell can result. (Guess how I know this.) Your carpet pad may be dirty. There may also be dirt under your carpet pad. I'm pulling up my carpets and replacing them; they've been in the home for about 20 years and the amount of dirt underneath the carpet pad is astounding. Your water will probably never come up clear. My view on carpets is they're someting you walk on, so they may be a little dirty!

Q: My rug is a short, runner rug in front of our outside doorway. The material is shaggy and I'm not sure if I can put in the washer...?: If you really like the rug and want to be sure you don't ruin it in the machine, you could wash it in the bathtub or outside using a hose and your favorite brand of rug cleaner. Either way would be a bit messy, but your rug would not get torn up by a machine.

Q: I'll need to get about 1200 sq. ft. of carpet. I'm not planning on getting the cheapest, but close to it. How much will the carpet cost? installation?: Carpet, pad ( to cover warranties) and labor for a low, mid range priced carpet will go fo 3$ a s/f ( + - depending on quality) So your looking at 3600$ at least. Its dried into the carpet now and hardened. Anyone ever had this kind of stain?: Vacuuming doesn't always restore a carpet's clean appearance. For heavily soiled carpets, shampooing is recommended, rather than spot-cleaning. Wet-cleaner machines spray and remove hot detergent solution while cleaning the carpet. Here are a few steps to get your carpet looking clean as new. Step 1-Purchase or rent a wet-cleaner machine also known as a steamer, at a hardware or grocery store. When you rent a machine, the necessary cleaning products are usually included or can be purchased at the rental store. Step 2-Vacuum the floor thoroughly. Step 3-Spray heavily soiled areas with prespray or traffic-lane cleaner. For really dirty areas, increase the amount of prespray used instead of increasing the amount of carpet shampoo. Step 4-Fill the machine's hose or reservoir with hot tap water. Step 5-Use the machine and carpet shampoo according to the steamer manufacturer's instructions. Step 6-Maximize the amount of water removed from the carpet by making a water-extraction pass with the water spray on, and then again with the spray off. Test the carpet with your hand. If your hand comes away with water droplets, extract again with the spray off; if your hand comes away damp and the carpet feels wrung out, you have extracted correctly. Step 7-Wait overnight for the carpet to dry before walking on it. To dry thoroughly, open windows and use fans.

Q: I don't think it would be a good idea to have one in a dorm (harder to clean, etc.) so what should I tell my roommate? She won't give up on trying to convince me.: If your only reason for not wanting the rug is that it would be more difficult to clean, then agree to get a shag rug only on the conditions : 1. she purchases the rug (which will then obviously be hers to keep once you two stop living together); 2. she cleans the rug; AND 3. she doesn't get bent out of shape if you think the rug needs cleaning and you then ask her to do so. If she is trying THAT hard to get you to okay having a shag rug, then I'd let her do it, as long as she knows that it is her responsibility to clean it, AND that cleaning is subject to both of your subjective opinions on cleanliness.

Q: I just moved into a new apartment and used the wrong cleaner to pick up a spilled drink on the beige carpet and bleached it. Anyone know of a stain or a dye I could use to get the color back?: oops! okorder IF the rug is cotton or similar plant fiber. If your rug is poly fibers, toss it... no amount of dying will stay.

Q: I have just this cheap low shag carpet in my boys room I want to put down some wood planks. I don't understand why I would have to remove the carpet, it's so low it's not plush. Not quite as bad as commercial office carpet but pretty close to it. Can't I simply install the fllor over it, what's going to happen if I do?: Only can you install laminate over carpet if it is a very short napped, glue direct to the floor commercial carpet.
