Q: I spilt vegetable oil on my carpet and I can't get it out.: Try cornmeal. Sprinkle it on heavily and leave for awhile. Vacumn it up.. If still have oil, repeat until all absorbed. Cornmeal will not stain or discolor the carpet. It is very absorbent and costs very little.

I wanted to now re-arrange the furniture, but how long should i wait? its pretty dried, but i was still wondering?: I really would wait as long as you can, overnight if possible even if it feels mostly dry, it can take a good 12-24 hours to dry tracking around and dragging furniture can just get your clean carpet dirty again until the shampoo solution dries it can be tacky or sticky and really absorb dirt, then when its fully dry the dirt is sealed in
