- Depends on the exact backing on the rug you want to put down. A lot of backings can ruin wood floors.. Some will scratch them up, some will permanently discolor the wood.. If your using it just as a area rub, there are special thin mats that you place under the rug and they stay in place without having to staple them down, If your going wall to wall then I d suggest a padding to help stop this.. - Q:I'll need to get about 1200 sq. ft. of carpet. I'm not planning on getting the cheapest, but close to it. How much will the carpet cost? installation?
- Carpet, pad ( to cover warranties) and labor for a low, mid range priced carpet will go fo 3$ a s/f ( + - depending on quality) So your looking at 3600$ at least. - Unfortunately Gorilla Glue is a polymer and bonds with nylon carpet fibers. You'll have to cut out a patch of the carpet and replace it. Good luck finding a piece to match unless you take a piece from a closet. If you do that cut the damaged piece out first and lay ti over the replacement piece and CAREFULLY cut an identical patch. Tape in and glue the patch with carpet tape and adhesive. Make sure the pile and pattern match. Good luck.

- Hydrogen peroxide, adding water and washing powder to brush. It can decontaminate, disinfecte and sterilize.
- Q:Well we kind of had a little mis hap and we accidently got a burning piece of paper on the ground. The paper was burning and went onto the carpet and we cleaned all the ash up and now there is a dirty ashy looking stain on the carpet. How do you get rid of it? I don't mean by buying another carpet, is there anything that could get it out of the carpet? Thank you.
- Snip away the dead carpet using fine manicure scissors and tweezers. You want to remove only the dead (bunt) carpet and nothing more. Surly not inch by inch more like millimeter by millimeter! After removing all the dead carpet. Find an unnoticeable area in the carpet such as the back of a closet and remove bits of good carpet using the same method. Try taking samples from multiple areas. Roll the new samples up to fit the hole, apply carpet glue to the base of the hole. Careful not to get any glue on undamaged fibers. Place the samples onto the glue cover with a piece of paper and a heavy book. Allow to dry for several hours. Remove the book and paper and blend the carpet with a wide tined comb. Also if there are singed but not burnt area try using a solution of 2 parts hydrogen peroxide 10 parts water. Dabbed the solution on the fibers spray with water and dab dry with a paper towel. Wait until the area is thoroughly dry before proceeding with gluing in new carpet samples.
