- Your link just goes to the main menu page so I didn't get to see which saddle you were asking about. Basically a good saddle, if looked after will probably outlast you ! Rugs can be complicated, I don't know what sort of weather you get but here in the UK my horses are out for most of the time ( they only come in a night in the worst part of winter and they don't like that much either !) I have full neck rugs for really nasty cold time and ones without necks for when it's just normal winter weather. They don't wear any rug during the summer as a rule but if it rains for long periods ( as it has this year) I put the lighter neckless rugs on them. If it got sweaty during riding in winter then towelling dry is a good idea and you can also get a cooler rug - this acts like a string vest and stops the horse getting chilled while he's cooling down. As your horse would be going straight back into the field it would be best to cool him down on the way back from your ride so he doesn't get home so sweaty. You can't just go throwing thick rugs on sweaty horses so you would need to walk him round in a cooler to get him dried off first. If this turned out to be a problem with you spending ages cooling him down you could get him clipped which would stop him getting soaked but then you would need a really good rug to make up for the lack of winter coat.

- Q:He is 9 months old and He is not allowed in my room. When I accidentally leave the door open to go cook etc, within 2 min. he runs in and pees right on the rug by my bed.It is infuriating! - When you say the rug by your bed, do you mean a throw rug type thing or actual carpet? If it's a throw rug and can be throw in the washer, then was it and add 1 cup of white vinegar to your final rinse. (the smell dissapates!). If it's carpet, scrub it as good as possible and then using 1 cup white vinegar to a bucket of water, wash over the area again, to get rid of all the urine smell. (Anytime a dog can smell where he/she peed before, they will return to it and use that spot again). Rubbing the dogs nose in the spot doesn't help! They know that spot is already there, without you doing that; and it serves no purpose. If you have a gate to put across the door, then I would use that, if the behavior continues just out of habit. And, by the way, as someone else wrote it's a known trait for Shih Tzu's to pee in the house, this is absolutely not true! I know several people with Shih Tzu's and I have one myself, and none of them urinate in the house once they are housetrained! I don't believe you can point a finger at any certain breed of dog and say that is a trait of there's. It is either because the dog was not entirely housetrained, or because something happened to make them start to urinate again, such as another dog laid there; or actually urinated in that spot, and then your dog is peeing there also, to mark his or her territory. Another thing, has your dog been neutered? If not, that might help the problem also, esp. if another dog has been in your house recently and he can smell that. I hope this helps you with your problem, and you and your fur baby get to enjoy many happy and healthy years ahead.

- You should have not gotten it wet. You should have vacuumed it up right away. There is no real way to get that out of the carpet now. I have tried. I did the same thing. Spilled an ash tray, brushed off as much as i could, then used resolve. I still have the stain. nothing helped. Sorry :(

- Q:I have a bissel carpet shampooer. I use that wit hot water and the bissel cleaning solution... Which is okay working.. But I need to DEEP clean my carpets. Whats the best cleaning solutions I can use in my shampooer or pour directly on the stains? The stains are mostly pet stains (no odor) and the stairs get bad because of all the foot traffic. - I usually use a strong (50:50) mix of water vinegar to use as a pre-treater. I put it in a spray bottle spray it on the spots. I make my own carpet shampoo with Zote soap. I've found it works a lot better than the store-bought shampoos. I grate a bar of Zote--or better yet, use Zote flakes if you can find them in your area-- mix a couple tablespoons in water, shake til combined fill my shampoo reservoir. I also add vinegar to the water in the machine. I have the Bissell Pro-Heat.
