Q:Hello, last night my dumb boyfriend spilt curry all over my sheepskin rug-tried cleaning with carpet cleaner but its not really taken out the stain. Should I take it to the laundrette? Dry clean? Please help!
Take the rug to a Dry Clean that specializes in fur coats...or at least one that has experience in cleaning fur coats. They should be able to clean the rug.
Q:Hello, Thanks for taking the time to read this.Ok, I have been living on aparments since long time ago, most of them are all carpet (no choice), so now I'm moving to a beautiful townhome with 2 levels, first level where the living/dinning/kitchen are is all hardwood floors, I was just looking for slidders or socks for the furniture so they don't scratch the wood, my fiance said that the dinning room and the couches will look funny without a big area rug underneath. Do you think that Area rugs are mandatory on hardwood floors? Please share your opinions. Thanks again.
They aren't mandatory but your room will look more pulled together and defined with a large rug. It will also give it a warmer more cozy feeling. I do the same even with carpeted areas. It just gives a nice finished touch.
Q:My carpet is going to kill me. This is southern texas, and there is always dust everywhere. How can I thoroughly clean the carpet? I really can't afford a big machine, and I borrowed my moms cheap one, and it did nothing. If I buy carpet cleaner, can I just scrub it with my tub scrub brush or something?
Even okorder .
Q:We are getting the carpet throughout the house redone. We had planned on a high quality laminate, but apparently our floors slope too much for that. Now we have to go with carpet. I fear a berber throughout will look too industrial, not homey enough. My husband feels like flush style looks like apartments he had in the 70s. The carpet salesman is recommending the same carpet in the whole 3 floor house. We have spill-prone kids, but no pets. any recommendations? we want it to look nice, but don't really know where to go from here.
My sister did berber throughout her house, accenting w/some area rugs also, .it held ok, not too high on luxury (not really fluffy) but it was harder for the kids to ruin it. I know that Scotch Guard is her best friend and she actually used to re-spray the carpet 1x/yr for extra support in higher traffic areas - I'm guessing its cheaper to go with the same carpet throughout but maybe they will let you change the hue of the color to break it up - or see if the one you like can take scotch guarding Hope this helps :)
Q:Is the bedroom carpet harmful to the health?
But once the it gets dirty, it is very troublesome, it is difficult to get rid of the bacteria after the people walking on it. Good luxurious carpets are more expensive. It's not easy to clean, want to abandon it but not willing. And it's easy to grow some dust mites, parasites, parasites and breeding inside cockroach eggs, insects. The price is high, and dirty place even if cleaning, it is difficult to restore the previous bright.
Q:My sister-in-law gave us a lovely rug as a house warming gift 10 years ago. I prefered using the old wash and rinse method of cleaning it. It wasn't anything very expensive but it was, is, lovely.I lifted it to wash and store away for the summer but was saddened to see a thick layer of yellow dust like stuff exactly where the rug was laying. It seems the bottom layer of the rug has aged and is crumbling away into dust.Is there anything I can do to save it?
Is this a tufted carpet? It may be the glue disintegrating. Depending on the rug, usually there's not much you can do which would be cost effective. Sometimes you can re-latex the back, but this is quite a project... Tufted rugs are really meant to be disposable
Q:What color carpet can match with fushia sofa
Suggest that coffee use the kind of pure white imitation of white marble. Wallpaper can use some warm colors, more soft As for the carpet, it's up to you~
Q:I'm thinking of buying carpet tile as a cheaper way to make a rug. I haven't been to home depot or lowes yet seeing as I just came up with this idea. On the store website however I can only find the pricing of cases of 35 square feet and such. I only need roughly a three tile by three tile square. So, I was wondering if they also sold it by the piece?
well thats just standard practice to list the pricing per box... you should be able to purchase by the square(piece) Also might wanna try your local carpet store.carpet squares are typically more of a comercial grade carpet,so you could also look in the phone book under commercial flooring and talk them into selling some of their extras. hope that helped.anymore questions, feel free to ask. i have been a ceramic tile installer for 10 years and did my share of carpet too. jarod
